Práce laiků - dobrovolníků ve farnosti Chlumec nad Cidlinou / The work of laymen - volunteers in the parish of Chlumec nad Cidlinou

The thesis focuses on the activity of laymen - volunteers in the Chlumec church community in the period after November 1989 in the context of their contribution to fulfilling the mission of the church. The work is divided into four main chapters. The aim of the first chapter is to expound the role of the church in the present-day world and to describe its four functions. Dealing with the church community, the second chapter clarifies various aspects of how the church community may be perceived, and identifies its mission in the sphere of spreading the Gospel and work for those in need. To be found in the third chapter is a detailed description of the work of laymen in the church of Chlumec nad Cidlinou, whose service contributes to fulfilling both the parish functions as well as certain expectations of the neighbouring local community. The objective of the fourth chapter is to map out the hitherto unexplored activities of the Parish charity in Chlumec nad Cidlinou and its volunteer work, the curative stay of the Chernobyl children. During the particular period, these activities were carried out above all by the laymen - volunteers and represented a significant part of diaconia in the church community. Vojtěch SEVERÝN Prague, 2012 ABSTRACT Title: Proposal and implementation of communication plan for charity Auction of ice- hockey jerseys and other original items Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to propose a project of the charity Auction of ice-hockey jerseys and the other original items with focus on the proposal, analysis and evaluation of efficiency of the communication plan. Methods: The whole thesis is designed as a case study. The efficiency of the communication plan is measured on a visits of microsite created for this project and also on a visits of the individual auctions. The yield of the auction is also an indicator of the efficiency. The project and also the implementation of communication activities were held from 7. 5. to 17. 5. 2012, and in the same time the monitoring of attendance was under way. Some indicators are compared to the period before the project started. Results: We found what communication tools were suitable for such a project, what tools were useless, if the timing of communication actions were right or wrong. Based on "behaviour" of the audience we proposed some options for developing of this project. The work deals with the holistic concept of comprehensive home care. First, it deals with different characteristic aspects of home care, who provides the care, the extend to which care is provided, principles to be followed when caring, attention is paid to the needs of clients and a good communication with them. Because home care often provide religious charitable organizations, it is also dealt with the Caritas Czech Republic. The last chapter of the first part deals with the common problem of workers in the helping professions, the burnout syndrome. For the implementation of quality health and social care were developed in the society quality standards, that are binding in providing care and assistance which can evaluate the quality of care provided. Our question is, how can theology contribute to the quality of home care. To implement certain elements of quality are in this work offered theological impulses, that can assist in providing quality holistic home care to clients.

The main aim of this diploma thesis is to explain the method of financing charity and secure funding church institutions situated on the territory of city of České Budějovice in the Middle Ages. The work is divided into six chapters. The first part consists of describing the development of Church administration in Bohemia from beginning of Christianity to the Middle Ages. The second chapter presents the person of parish priest and describes the function of the parish. On this passage follows a treatise of the right of patronage. The theoretical part of this thesis is concluded with a chapter which explains the general financial insurance and patronage support of parishes. The practical part is devoted to the development of foundation agenda in České Budějovice and also brings the structure of rural parishes and parish networks in the vicinity of this city. The work includes the list of used sources, literature and attachments. The annexes include tables containing summary data from municipal book of donation records, the main source of this thesis. It also contains tables relating the occupation the parish benefices by parish priest as well as the photographs of mentioned churches.

Islám v českém prostoru / Islam in Czech Culture

The thesis deals with the presence of Muslims and Islam in the Czech area. Its ambition is to describe the current state, orientation, integration and current public perceptions of Muslim communities in the Czech Republic. For a more comprehensive mapping of the Muslim aspect in the Czech area, the work could not avoid, albeit in a nutshell, certain socio-historical events that could affect actual perceptions of Muslims and Islam by Czech citizens. It describes not only Islamic themes in the literary production in Bohemia and Moravia but also the influence of Islamic science in the Middle Ages and its reflection on the works of Czech scholars. Another part of the text deals with Islam in the Czech Republic in terms of its inclusion in the legislation. Subsequent chapters follow the Muslim community in the Czech Republic, their charity work and degree of integration. The main method of the work is the selection and analysis of selected relevant literary, journal and scientific texts, i.e. texts mentioning Islam on Czech territory from the Middle Ages to the present.

The thesis analyzes the role of NGOs in the field of international development assistance, mainly analyzes the structure of funding and links with the expenditures of the state budget. Total expenditures on official development assistance are set into the structure of the state budget, revenues are quantified in selected non-profit organizations and their structure is outlined. The thesis also covers legislative changes introduced by the new Civil Code. There are used analytical, comparative and descriptive methods by which the author comes to the conclusion that the form of projects implemented by non-profit organizations can be influenced by the Concept of development assistance and subsidies which can be obtained from the state.

This Thesis deals with the organization of a non-profit cultural project -- a photographic exhibition. It is based on the theory of project management and arts marketing, which is compared with the experience of Jan Foltán, an experienced organizer of such exhibitions. The Thesis is divided into seven chapters; the first one presents the person himself, his work and experience which forms the practical part of the following chapters. In the second chapter, I present the principles of project management, which form the theoretical ground of the Thesis. Another chapter is devoted to marketing of a cultural project where the emphasis is on Public and Media Relations. Part of that chapter is also devoted to the organization of openings of exhibitions and charity auctions of art works. The research of factors that influence the attendance of artwork exhibitions is also included in this chapter. An important part of PR and funding is sponsoring, the importance of which is evident from the chapter on financing. The fifth chapter deals with the realization of exhibitions including theme selection, ensurance of locations, logistics, and schedule. The following section is devoted to the connection of cultural projects with charity and human motivation to help others through their work. The last chapter deals with branding of artists; thus creating their brand which is also another very important part for ensuring the attendance at the exhibitions.

The thesis The Sisters of Mercy of St. Borromeo on example selected institutions of social care 1948-1989 is focused at three institutions of social care for mentally handicapped persons, in which The Sisters of Mercy of St. Borromeo worked during the communist régime. The aim of the work is not only to compile the history and development of the three researched institutes of social care from the available primary sources but also to analyze and compare the information found in the conclusion. In the final analysis, we follow mainly the beginnings of individual institutes, then the lives of sisters and inmates in all examined institutes, and in the end we focus on the termination of the work of nuns in individual institutes. The first of the examined places is the institute of social care in Hrabice, where nuns worked from 1949 to 1989. The second of the researched institutes was located in the years 1953 to 1983 in the village of Komorní Lhotka. The third research institute was located in the town of Česká Kamenice, where nurses worked there from 1953 to 1980. All three constitutions are connected by their position, they were located in remote places or in places where there was no strong religious community. (in English): The diploma thesis deals with the activities of Czech Caritas organizations in the field of humanitarian assistance and development cooperation abroad. The aim of the work is to explore the possibilities and limits of transferring and sharing "good practice". The work consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is structured in three main chapters, which deal with humanitarian aid and development cooperation topics, describe the selected Czech Caritas organizations and define "good practice". The practical part consists of a descriptive research of the selected Czech Caritas organizations activities in the field of humanitarian assistance and development cooperation abroad executed between 2000 and 2016 and qualitative research of employee's approaches to mutual sharing of "good practice". Research questions are answered by combining questionnaire survey and interviews which are conducted with the help of the manual. The main results of this thesis is a summary table containing descriptions of activities in the field of humanitarian assistance and development cooperation abroad and presentation of employee's attitudes to "good practice" and its sharing.

The thesis aims to develop a methodology PR for smaller non-profit organizations. PR analysis was carried out in a non-profit organization Charity Opava, which fulfills its mission, and its activities shows that PR function can improve the organization's image and provide a solid foundation for fundraising and marketing activities. Without a functional PR is the systematic implementation of fundraising activities elusive. I formulated a methodology based on the information gathered from semistructured interview with Ivo Mludek which has a PR of Charita Opava in chargé, from his lecture on PR for organizations working in social services in Charity Jesenik dated 20 of October 2016 and analysis of publicly available documents .
