Ekonomické efekty podpory zdravia na príklade mamografického screeningového vyšetrenia zavedeného v Českej republike v roku 2002 / Economic effects of the health promotion at the example of mammographic screening examination introduced in Czech republic in 2002

Fabová, Lucia January 2017 (has links)
The topic of health is currently very up-to-date and the need for population health promotion and disease prevention is becoming increasingly important. The consequences of neglecting prevention and health promotion on the state's economy are clear, whether it is about increasing public spendings on health care or indirect effects on the level of human capital. The aim of this work is to analyze health promotion in the Czech Republic with a focus on mammographic screening programme introduced in 2002. The study demonstrates a decrease in breast cancer mortality following the screening examination and an increase in the number of tumor findings in earlier stages of the disease. It also analyzes the effect on costs of health care and the impact of screening on them. It also proposes to extend preventive screening examinations to other areas where their implementation could be useful in the future.

Alternativní komponenty v KD drápkatých opic jako prevence vzniku makrosomie, diabetes mellitus a porodu mrtvých mláďat / Alternative components in feeding rations for marmosets and tamarins as prevention of macrosomia, diabetes mellitus and stillborn young

Polívková, Martina January 2016 (has links)
This thesis evaluates the suitability of food rations in zoos keeping Callitrichidae considering the prevention of macrosomia, diabetes mellitus and stillborn young, and where needed, suggests a change in feed rations. The feed rations of Callitrichidae in zoos differ greatly and problems can occur with greater amounts of fat and sugars and often also insufficiency of calcium, which can lead to obesity and further health complications. When performing this thesis, all food rations of the pygmy marmoset (Cebuella pygmaea), the silvery marmoset (Mico argentatus), the cotton-top tamarin (Saguinus oedipus), the emperor tamarin (Saguinus imperator) and the golden lion tamarin (Leontopithecus rosalia) was weighted during five days in the Olomouc zoo, the Plzeň zoo and the Jihlava zoo. The values of the rations were set based on table rates of the individual components stated in the program ZootritionTM (V2.6) and the final values compared with the recommendations stated in EAZA Husbandry Guidelines 3rd edition (2015). It was found that changes are needed especially with consideration to the food specialization of the different species, presently all species of Callitrichidae are fed the same rations regardless of their food priorities in the wild. The recommended changes to rations included changing a part of the ration to a ready mixed foodstuff for Callitrichidae to save time and enable a stable ration with good values of calcium and protein, and feed the animals mainly with vegetables rather than fruit, considering the closeness of vegetables to the fruit available in the wild.

Využití sdělovacích prostředků a internetu v prevenci chorob / The use of the news media and the internet in the prevention of diseases

KRMENČÍKOVÁ, Lucie January 2009 (has links)
This Diploma Thesis focuses on the use of key Czech media in the prevention of diseases, on an analysis of their levels and on the possible impact on recipients. It also investigates to what extent are topics interconnected with commercial communication and how commercial background determines such communication. In the theoretical part of this Diploma Thesis I attempted to give a brief and comprehensible outline of the issues conserning the prevention of diseases and the mass media according to the most up-to-date information. The main aim of the practical part of this Diploma Thesis was to map the frequency by which health-related preventive material is published in key Czech media. A further aim of this Diploma Thesis was to discover the main topics that key media deal with. The quantitative data collection method and media analyses were applied in this part of the Diploma Thesis. It ensues from my research that key media mostly concentrate on topics conserning the prevention of malignant tumors. Advertisements that are concerned with the prevention of selected illnesses usually refer food supplements and curative preparations. The results of this Diploma Thesis further indicate that prevention of diseases mass media is not neglected; nonetheless, I am the opinion that the frequency of publication could be higher. On the contrary, there could be less commercial communication that goes along with material that focuses on health-related prevention issues. I am convinced that the prevention of diseases with use of the news media is the basic step to a healthy population without which we cannot envisage our future. The result of this Diploma Thesis can be applied in the creation of preventive programmes and information strategies regarding disease prevention.

Rezistence odrůd hrachu setého k houbovým patogenům

Slováková, Michaela January 2018 (has links)
The diploma thesis concerns observing the health conditions of pea plants. The experiments were established in 2016–2017 in cooperation with AGRITEC, research, breeding and services, s.r.o. company in Šumperk. There were 9 varieties and 3 lines selected for the experimentations. The observation for each experiment was divided into two timing terms. The resistance to pea powdery mildew caused by pathogen Eryshipe pisi, was observed in greenhouse conditions. The highest level of resistance occurred line 1109/13 and variety FRANKLIN. The lowest level of resistance had variety ARVIKA. However this variety also occured to have the highest level of resistance in laboratory tests to resistance to Fusarium solani and Fusarium oxysporum. The pathogens causing the complex of root rot and black stem deseases were observed in conditions of infectious field. Variety ATLAS was infected the least.
