A maturação do trato gastrointestinal, o tipo de dieta e a presença de possíveis malformações congênitas são fatores que influenciam na consistência, quantidade e na cor das fezes. Por tudo isso, a Escala de Amsterdam para fezes na infância (AISS) foi desenvolvida em 2009, objetivando auxiliar a análise das fezes de crianças com até 120 dias de vida. Além de avaliar a consistência das fezes, como a Escala de Bristol, a AISS propõe a descrição da quantidade e da cor das fezes, permitindo análise mais completa do hábito intestinal. Objetivo:Realizar a tradução e adaptação transcultural da AISS para língua portuguesa do Brasil e avaliar as propriedades psicométricas da versão traduzida. Metodologia:O processo de tradução e adaptação transcultural foi realizado segundo metodologia aceita e recomendada internacionalmente, composta por seis etapas: tradução para a língua portuguesa, síntese das traduções, retro-tradução e análise por um comitê de especialistas; aplicação do pré-teste e avaliação do grau de compreensão da escala traduzida;análise dos resultados e elaboração de versão final da escala.A avaliação das propriedades psicométricas da versão final da AISStraduzida para análise de 238fotos de fezes de crianças (< 120 dias de vida), por 5 avaliadoras: 2 médicas (1 neonatologista e 1 cirurgiã pediátrica), 1 enfermeira, 1 aluna da graduação de medicina e 1 mulher adulta ... The maturation of the gastrointestinal tract, the type of diet and the presence of possible congenital malformations are factors that influence stool consistency, quantity and color. For all this, the Amsterdam Infant Stool Scale (AISS) was developed in 2009, aiming to assist the analysis of stool characteristicsfor children up to 120 days old. In addition to assessing stool consistency, such as the Bristol Scale, the AISS proposes a description of the amount and color of stools, allowing a more complete analysis of the intestinal habit. Objective: To perform the AISS translation and cross-cultural adaptation to the Brazilian Portuguese language and to evaluate the psimometric properties of this AISS translated version.
