This thesis explores how the aura of the artworks changes in the age of digital reproduction through the empirical experiments conducted in Uppsala Konstmuseum. By employing the definition of the aura given by Benjamin in The work of art in the age of the mechanical reproduction and The arcade project, this thesis conceptualizes the “aura” into eight dimensions and then operationalizes the eight dimensions in order to find whether audience’s evaluation of the artwork changes when they are given different stimulus in the control experiment. From the control experiment, the quantitative data will be obtained from a questionnaire and non-participant observation. The qualitative data will be obtained from the interviews. By also applying the simulacra theory of Baudrillard to the analysis part, this thesis finds that there exists a small difference in the perception of the aura between the people who see a digital copy and who see a real painting. The aura still has its power. However, such power is really weak, as many dimensions of the aura have been weakened by the digital simulacra. Through this study, I suggest the museums to take cautious steps to digitalize their artworks though there is no evidence that virtual museums can replace real museums.

A better understanding of the factors that affect adaptation capabilities within an organization can facilitate implementation of changes to better fit the organization to the mission. Experiment 9, conducted for the Office of Naval Research's (ONR) Adaptive Architecture for Command and Control (A2C2) research program, provided insight into the decision making process of a small group given changes in a scenario to prompt the need for change. The experiment also provided insight into the challenges faced by an organization in the process of adaptation, and factors that affect the willingness and need for adaptation. This thesis examines how differences of emphasis within the training environment itself may affect an organization's willingness to adapt to changing circumstances. This thesis proposes changes to future experiments, focusing efforts on making cues more apparent to the test subject. This thesis also suggests modifications to the data collection system to enhance post experiment analysis. / Lieutenant, United States Navy

Tato diplomová práce obsahuje komplexní návrh systému aktivního řízení proudu instalovaného na osobním voze Škoda Roomster. Tato práce navazuje na výzkum provedený VUT a TUB na vozidle Volkswagen UP! Návrh lze rozdělit na tři základní části - návrh spoileru, návrh závěsů a návrh vyfukovacího systému. V každé z těchto částí je návrh detailně popsán a potřebná výkresová dokumentace je součástí práce v její příloze. Pro potřeby návrhu vyfukovacího systému bylo provedeno jeho testování. Výsledky testu jsou v této části uvedeny. Práce také obsahuje komplexní popis sestavení celého systému a jeho instalace na automobil.
