THE NEW GENERATION OF COMPACT, FLEXIBLE, ANTENNA CONTROLLERS

McGiven, Fred A. 11 1900 (has links)
International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 29-November 02, 1990 / Riviera Hotel and Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada / TIW Systems has developed a modern, compact, modular, antenna controller (ACU) for telemetry, tracking, and communications antennas. The controller combines the functions of an antenna control unit, a position conversion/display chassis, and a polarization control unit. By using plug-in cards, a tracking receiver, autophasing control unit, tracking synthesizer, and other functions can be added. Depending on the requirements, the tracking receiver can be a simple wide-band steptrack receiver, or can be a full function phase-locked-loop (PLL) autotrack receiver. In the past, all this capability would have taken a large portion of an entire equipment rack. The unit uses modern microprocessor technology for digitally controlling the position and rate of the antenna. Advanced tracking modes and remote control can be added by connecting an external computer (PTIC) to one of the ACU’s serial ports. The PTIC also provides a user friendly operator interface through the use of high resolution color graphics and easy to understand menus.

Control of a Remote Receiving Station and Data Processing at RA Range Hebrides

Mackenzie, Donald, Fielding, Richard 10 1900 (has links)
International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 17-20, 1994 / Town & Country Hotel and Conference Center, San Diego, California / The Royal Artillery Range (RA Range) is the British Army's weapons practice range in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The large sea range is also used by the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy for new weapons system evaluation and in service practice firing. This paper describes the telemetry facility comprising of two prime sites separated by 40 miles of open sea. Tracking antennas and receivers are at the remote island site of St Kilda with data processing and control at the Range Control Base (RCB), Benbecula. To improve operational capabilities and effectiveness, full remote control and monitoring of the multiple receivers and combiners has been installed. Radar tracking outputs are processed in the telemetry computer to produce individual antenna pointing demands.

A LIGHT-WEIGHT INSTRUMENTATION SYSTEM DESIGN

Kidner, Ronald 10 1900 (has links)
International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 25-28, 1999 / Riviera Hotel and Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada / To meet challenging constraints on telemetry system weight and volume, a custom Light-Weight Instrumentation System was developed to collect vehicle environment and dynamics on a short-duration exo-atmospheric flight test vehicle. The total telemetry system, including electronics, sensors, batteries, and a 1 watt transmitter weighs about 1 kg. Over 80 channels of measurement, housekeeping, and telemetry system diagnostic data are transmitted at 128 kbps. The microcontroller-based design uses the automotive industry standard Controller Area Network to interface with and support in-flight control functions. Operational parameters are downloaded via a standard asynchronous serial communications interface. The basic design philosophy and functionality is described here.

Design of Robust Micro-Control Unit

Shih, Wei-Chih 19 August 2008 (has links)
With the progress in VLSI technology, the external environment makes it easier for the interference affected the operation of microcontroller. The design of the recently microcontroller, not only the pursuit of speed and performance, also began the study of the various fault-tolerant technology to enhance the reliability and safety. This thesis, being designed for the Fault-tolerant microcontroller according market, presents a Robust Micro-Control Unit : RMCU for dual core architecture of ARM9 ISA. The RMCU provides two operation modes: synchronize mode and Processor test mode for fault-tolerant mechanism. In synchronize mode, both processors are executing the same program concurrently. The results generated by processors are compared, and every mismatch indicates a transient fault in one of the two processors. When the transient fault occurred, the two processors will use Instruction retry mechanism, recover system operation. If the same address's errors larger than the number of settings are considered permanent fault, processors will be held, and entered the processor test mode for processor functional test. In accordance with the test results to close the wrong processor and operating system back to normal. This approach to solve the traditional dual-core processor fault-tolerant architecture that can not be fixed to permanent-fault restrictions. In addition to the design of fault-tolerance mechanism, for the upgrading of software and hardware development and validation of this paper design of the RMCU debug platform. RMCU debug platform including JTAG-based OCD (On-Chip Debugging) unit, and debug interface program. In addition to providing read and write registers and memory, set Breakpoint, Watchpoint and single-step but also take the initiative to increase the external interrupt inserted to provide a more effective ISR (Interrupt Service Routine) debug. In the last of the thesis, we use the FPGA Implementation of the RMCU fault-tolerant mechanisms and debug platform. After simulation and testing, the results prove the feasibility of RMCU.

Řídicí jednotka pro CubeSat / Control unit for CubeSat

Horký, Jan January 2017 (has links)
Stav konfigurace FPGA je pravidelně kontrolován a v případě zjištěné chyby dochází automaticky k rekonfiguraci FPGA a návratu jednotky do výchozího stavu.
