Zhodnocení přirozeného generativního zmlazení borovice kleče v NPR Praděd (CHKO Jeseníky)

Pálka, Ondřej January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the study of the current capability of the generative reproduction of dwarf pine stands (Pinus mugo Turra) in NNR Praděd and the determination of factors influencing the success of generative reproduction. The work deals with the occurrence of the dwarf pine seedlings depending on the stand disturbance of grass-herb vegetation, distance from parental stand and the thickness of the soil horizon A. The work also solves the problem of influence of a particular species of grass-herb vegetation on the occurrence of seedlings. The results show that the higher the rate of disturbance and the smaller the distance from parental stand, the higher is the occurrence of seedlings. It was also found that the most common types of vegetation in which the seedlings were grown were Nardus stricta and Avenella flexuosa.

Staroveská, Natálie January 2021 (has links)
This thesis deals with the relationship between bone quality and lifestyle factors with a focus on nutrition, tobacco use, alcohol consumption and physical activity. The theoretical part of the thesis presents general knowledge about bones, their composition, structure, bone division, growth and development of bones. The next two chapters describe the process of bone remodeling and calcium- phosphate metabolism. The work describes in detail the factors influencing the quality of bone mass, especially those that can be affected, such as the use of tobacco products, alcohol, some drugs and sufficient physical activity. A separate chapter is devoted to the influence of diet on the quality of bone mass. The most common disorders of calcium-phosphate metabolism and their treatment are described as well. The last chapter of the practical part is devoted to the examination of bone metabolism. The aim of the practical part of the diploma thesis was to examine the eating habits and other components of the lifestyle (smoking, physical activity, etc.) of patients of Osteocentre, 3rd Medical Department, General Faculty Hospital in Prague and to find out how these components correlate with the results of densitometric examination of the patients. Data collection was ensured by means of a questionnaire survey,...

Vertikální distribuce zoobentosu v rybníce v reakci na biomasu obsádky kapra / The impact of vertical distribution of zoobenthos in a pond in response to the biomass stocking of carp ponds

VÁLEK, Pavel January 2019 (has links)
The impact of vertical distribution of zoobenthos in a pond in response to the biomass stocking of carp ponds was tested in the Rod, Dobrá Vůle, Pohořelec, Haslauerteich and Neuteich ponds. Except for the Rod pond, various carp biomass was represented in all ponds. Sampling was conducted during the growing season (June and July), and outside the growing season (September). Physico-chemical parameters of water were measured for each sample. All samples were sorted by groups, counted and weighed. The results are presented in graphs. Zoobenthos density of the Dobrá Vůle, Haslauerteich and Neuteich ponds showed a rising tendency towards deeper parts of the pond sediment. The density of these ponds reached the maximum values in depths of 10-14 cm. This tendency was observed in the occurrence of midges in these ponds. The highest density of midges was observed in the Haslauerteich pond (1,687 individuals per square metre). The above-mentioned ponds were stocked by the common carp (K2-3). The largest density of the tubifexes in the Dobrá Vůle, Haslauerteich and Neuteich ponds was observed during the September sampling in the shallow parts of the sediment (0-6 cm). The maximum density was 1,031 individuals per square metre. On the Pohořelec pond, the occurrence of zoobenthos during both samplings was recorded only in the depth of 10-12 cm. Other representatives of zoobenthos were present in the Rod, Haslauerteich and Neuteich ponds. Larvae of Sialis and Chaoboridae were observed as well. The density and biomass was greater in the September sampling. We have noticed a greater settlement in various depths. Their maximum density was in the Haslauerteich pond (218 individuals per square metre).

Prevence osteoporózy při malabsorpčním syndromu / Prevention of osteoporosis in malabsorption syndrome

Křížková, Ivana January 2018 (has links)
Introduction: The topic of this thesis is the Prevention of Osteoporosis in Malabsorption Syndrome. The thesis is divided into two parts; theoretical and practical. The theoretical work in the first part deals with osteoporosis and osteoporosis risk factors with a focus on nutritional factors. Osteoporosis is a systemic metabolic disease of the skeleton characterised by decreased bone mass and changes in the quality of bone tissue. The etiology of osteoporosis is multifactorial. Malabsorption syndrome causes the small intestine, which is essential for absorbing nutrients, to malfunction. In the second part of the theoretical work, attention is paid to malabsorption syndrome and diseases that lead to its development. Objective: The objective of this work is to draw a comparison between the intake of calcium and other important nutrients in relation to bone metabolism for people with lactose intolerance, and compare this with recommended values and a control group of people without lactose intolerance. Methods: Dietary habits were evaluated using a questionnaire method and a detailed analysis of a four-day diet. The Nutriservis Professional programme was used to evaluate diets (determine energy values, amount of essential nutrients, fibre, calcium, plus other minerals and vitamins). Bone mineral...

Vliv kortikosteroidů a hybného deficitu na rozvoj osteoporózy u pacientů s roztoušenou sklerózou / Influence of corticosteroids and movement disorder on development of osteoporosis in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS)

Týblová, Michaela January 2017 (has links)
Introduction: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is associated with impaired bone health in comparison to an equally healthy population, even already in patients at the onset of this disease. The main risk factors for development of osteoporosis in MS patients are known. The aim of the study was to find the relationship of the decrease in bone mineral density (BMD) to the administered cumulative dose of steroids and to other risk factors in MS, mainly to the degree of motor deficit. Further goal was to evaluate the occurence of the risk of low-trauma fractures in multiple sclerosis patients.. The BMD and muscle mass was compared in MS patients (women and men) and control subjects, to examine the effect of main ones - physical disability and long-term glucocorticoid (GC) therapy on BMD. Clinical values of bone remodeling markers were evaluated in assessment of rate of bone loss in patients with multiple sclerosis long term treated with low dose of GC. Patients and methods: We used dual -energy X-ray absorptiometry for a measurement of BMD in 591 MS patients (455 females and 136 males) in 2004 and in cross-sectional longitudinal study published in 2014 with 474 patients (353 women and 121 men). Out of the whole study group body composition was evaluated in 250 MS females, 104 males and 247 healthy controls (193...

Využití periferního kvantitativního CT pro časnou detekci osteoporózy u dětí s chronickým onemocněním / The role of peripheral quantitative CT in early diagnostics of osteoporosis in chronically ill children

Souček, Ondřej January 2012 (has links)
Patients with Turner syndrome (TS) have increased fracture risk and decreased bone density, patients with severe hemophilia have low bone density. The etiology of these changes hasn't been completely elucidated in any of the two diseases. Our aimes were to assess bone density and geometry at the radius using a new method peripheral quantitative CT densitometry (pQCT) and to describe associations between densitometry parameters and estrogen treatment in TS and laboratory as well as clinical markers of disease severity in haemophilia. Sixty-seven girls with TS (median age 14.3 years, range 6.0-19.4) and 42 boys with haemophilia (median age 12.7 years, range 6.6-19.2) have been measured using peripheral quantitative CT at the radius. The results have been compared to published reference data. Girls with TS had decreased cortical bone density and thinner cortex. These parameters were positively correlated to the length of estrogen treatment. Trabecular bone density was normal in prepubertal girls but it was decreased after puberty. There was no association between trabecular bone density and the estrogen treatment. Boys with haemophilia had decreased trabecular density and low muscle area at the forearm. Densitometry parameters were influenced neither by the clotting factor VIII/IX level nor by the frequency of...

Kostní remodelace u revmatických onemocnění: Ztráta kosti u pacientů s juvenilní idiopatickou artritidou. / Bone remodeling in rheumatic diseases: Bone loss in juvenile idiopathic arthritis

Brábníková Marešová, Kristýna January 2015 (has links)
Introduction: The inflammation plays the essential role in the bone loss in juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Proinflammatory cytokines and also glucocorticoids (GCs) may activate bone resorption by osteoclasts. Simultaneously, bone formation can be attenuated, especially by inhibitors of proteins, which control the osteoblast differentiation. The aim was to verify the hypothesis that in patients with highly active JIA, reduction of bone formation via Wingless (Wnt) proteins inhibitors - Dickkopf 1 (Dkk-1) and sclerostin could be found. Except the densitometry measurements of bone and lean mass, we assessed markers of disease activity, bone metabolism and remodeling in young adult patients with JIA before and during 2 years of anti TNFα (tumour necrosis factor α) treatment, which decreases disease activity. Results: In patients with JIA before antiTNFα treatment, bone mineral density (BMD, g/cmš) was significantly reduced compared to controls. Values of BMD and body composition in JIA significantly depended on disease duration and GCs treatment. Serum concentration of sclerostin was significantly elevated in JIA compared to values in healthy controls. Values of the other monitored markers did not differ between JIA and controls. In patients with JIA, Dkk-1 correlated positively with C-reactive...

Vliv sérových hladin 25-hydroxycholekalciferolu na muskuloskeletální systém u dětí se zánětlivým střevním onemocněním / The effect of serum 25-hydroxycholekalciferol levels on musculoskeletal system in children with inflammatory bowel disease

Maratová, Klára January 2020 (has links)
The effect of serum 25-hydroxycholekalciferol levels on musculoskeletal system in children with inflammatory bowel disease Background: Low bone mineral density and osteoporosis represent severe secondary complications that can be a result of childhood chronic disease. According to Frost's mechanostat theory impaired muscle functions may contribute to the changes observed on the skeleton. Aims: The aim of this study was to: 1) evaluate parameters of bone mineral density, bone geometry and dynamic muscle functions in children and adolescent with chronic disease - inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and type 1 diabetes (T1D); 2) evaluate a possible effect of vitamin D deficiency and vitamin D supplementation or duration of the disease on the musculoskeletal unit; 3) determine clinical or laboratory predictors of muscle and bone parameters. Methods: The study was divided into two substudies according to the diagnosis. Seventy patients with IBD (median age 13.8 years) were included in one study, fifty-five of which completed all of the planned procedures. During the study, IBD patients were supplemented with 2000 IU/d of vitamin D. In the second study 95 patients with T1D were included (median age 16.4 years). BMD and bone geometry of non-dominant tibia was evaluated using peripheral quantitative computed...
