Syftet med detta examensarbete var att utveckla enkommunikativ leksak som ger barn möjligheter attlättare kunna kommunicera och uttrycka sig kring sinaegna och andras känslor.Utbudet av dagens leksaksmarknad undersöktes föratt hitta inom vilka områden en intressant utvecklingskulle kunna vara möjlig. En undersökning kringbarn, lek, leksaker, kommunikation, Design för Allaoch barn med funktionshinder gjordes för att samlain nödvändig fakta för att kunna tydliggöra vad somkrävs av en leksak och vilka behov som finns. En enkätundersökninggjordes också för att få en tydligare bildav de tre känslor som valts att arbeta vidare med; glad,arg och ledsen. Dessa undersökningar har sedan legatsom grund för designprocessen där jag har arbetat medskisser och modeller. Arbetet resulterade i en slutproduktdär en serie leksaker tagits fram, leksaksserienÄrlig. Serien består av tre leksaker, med samma grunformför att tydliggöra att de tillhör samma familj, somuttrycker olika känslor.Leksakerna ska på detta sätt hjälpa barn att uttryckasina och andras känslor och hur de mår. Att kunnakommunicera är livsviktigt för den psykiska, socialaoch kulturella utveckling. Det är just därför en sådanleksak, ett alternativt kommunikationssätt kring hurman själv och andra mår, är så viktigt. / The purpose of this study was to develop a communicativetoy that gives children the opportunity to easiercommunicate and express themselves about their ownand others’ feelings.The range of today’s market of toys were examined tofind areas in which an interesting development couldbe possible. A study on children, play, toys, communication,Design for All and children with disabilitieswas made, to gather the necessary facts in order toclarify what is required of a toy and what the necessitiesare. A survey was also used to get a clearer pictureof the three emotions chosen to work on; happy, angryand sad. These studies have been the basis for thedesign process where I have worked with sketches andmodels. The work resulted in a final product in whicha series of toys were produced, the toyserie Honest. Theserie consists of three toys, with the same basic shapeto clearify that they belong to the same family, expressingdifferent emotions.The toys will in this way help children to express theirand others’ feelings and how they feel. The ability tocommunicate is vital to the psychological, social andcultural development. This is precisely why such a toy,an alternative mean of communication about how youand others feel, is so important.
