Resultados de diversas pesquisas na ?rea apontam que significativas causas das perdas, refletidas em aumento da gera??o de Res?duos de Constru??o Civil (RCC), s?o as incompatibilidades entre os projetos, sendo essas s? detectadas no momento da execu??o da obra. Assim, para eliminar ou minimizar as perdas evit?veis (desperd?cios), faz-se necess?rio atuar na origem da causa de sua ocorr?ncia, podendo estar desde a concep??o (fase projetual) at? a fase de produ??o (execu??o da obra). Diante desse cen?rio, considerando a etapa de desenvolvimento de projetos (fase projetual) como o ponto de partida das constru??es e que seus processos exercem influ?ncia em todo processo construtivo e produto final, atrav?s de um estudo de car?ter explorat?rio-descritivo, com uma abordagem qualitativa, o estudo objetivou propor um modelo de processo de projeto de engenharia para empresas construtoras de edifica??es verticais, buscando reduzir os problemas de incompatibilidades de projetos na realidade sequencialidade dos processos construtivos. O universo da pesquisa foi composto por tr?s empresas construtoras de edifica??es, que estavam cadastradas junto ao Sinduscon-JP e que, no momento da pesquisa, tinham obras ativas. Como forma de atingir o objetivo proposto, foi necess?rio conhecer os problemas e os processos de projetos das empresas construtoras participantes do estudo, identificando o fluxo de informa??es (entradas, sa?das e controles), as inter-rela??es entre componentes do processo (os agentes do projeto), contrapondo-os com os modelos de processos da literatura. Ao final do estudo, foi poss?vel desenvolver um modelo b?sico de processo de projeto com o delineamento claro das a??es a serem desenvolvidas pelos agentes do processo de projeto, em conformidade ? realidade j? praticada nas empresas, dando suporte ? futura aplica??o, enfatizando as atividades de an?lise cr?tica, compatibiliza??o e aprova??o dos projetos, propondo tamb?m a utiliza??o da tecnologia da informa??o para auxiliar a comunica??o e coordena??o dos projetos, sob a forma do uso de ferramentas de compartilhamento de dados. Pela compara??o entre o modelo proposto e os modelos de refer?ncia, o mesmo mostra-se consistente para aplica??o na realidade local, proporcionando uma vis?o ampla de todo processo, viabilizando melhorarias ao gerenciamento falho ou faltoso, aumentando a participa??o e comunica??o entre os agentes do processo, refletindo-se em projetos, apropriadamente compat?veis, com controle de distribui??o e altera??o, diminuindo os enlaces causadores de perdas na execu??o da obra. / Within the production patterns in which civil construction is based, there is the consumption of a considerable portion of exhaustible natural resources, and this industry is also responsible for significant losses in its production processes with large generation of waste at world levels. Results from several researches in the area point out that significant cause of losses, reflected in an increase in the generation of Civil Construction Waste (CCW), are the incompatibilities between the projects, which are only detected at the time of construction. Thus, to eliminate or minimize the avoidable losses (waste), it is necessary to act in the origin of the cause of its occurrence, being able to be from conception (design phase) to the production phase (building execution). In this scenario, considering the stage of project development (design phase) as the starting point of the constructions and that its processes exert influence in all constructive process and final product, through an exploratory-descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, the objective of this study was to propose an engineering design process model for vertical building companies, seeking to reduce the problems of project incompatibilities in reality, sequential construction processes. The research universe consisted of three construction companies, which were registered with Sinduscon-JP and, at the time of the research, had construction site. As a way of achieving the proposed objective, it was necessary to know the problems and the project processes of the construction companies participating in the study, identifying the flow of information (inputs, outputs and controls), the interrelationships among process components design), contrasting them with the models of processes in the literature. At the end of the study, it was possible to develop a basic design process model with the clear delineation of the actions to be developed by the agents of the design process, according to the reality already practiced in the companies, supporting the future application, emphasizing the activities of critical analysis, compatibility and approval of the projects, also proposing the use of information technology to assist the communication and coordination of projects, in the form of the use of data sharing tools. By comparing the proposed model with the reference models, it is consistent for application in the local reality, providing a broad view of the whole process, enabling improvements in faulty or non-existent management, increasing the participation and communication among process agents, reflecting in compatible with distribution and alteration control, reducing the problems that cause losses in the execution of the building.

The environmental prior quality of our planet can only be reached through changes in the attitudes taken in relation due to the waste generated by society, this also lead involving the education sector, in example of the Superior Education Institutions where the concept of ambiental management needs to gain a growing space.In the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, can be found the Universitary Restaurant as an example of a Food and Nutrition Unit, it is a restaurant destined to provide services to the academic comunity with the production and distribution of meals. In this operational context the work itself aims subsidies and funds to the search of as minimal generation of residues as possible, applying environmentally correct processes and practices. The work was developed in the period of September to October of 2009 in the Universitary Campus of Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, in the Universitary Restaurant of the referred institution. The project involved all the employees of the restaurant and used like method the action survey. The produced waste was characterized, arranged according with it s nature (organic or inorganic) classificated following the NBR ISO 14004, adapted by Kinasz (2004) that adjusts the Standards to the specific reality of Food and Nutrition Services being diagnosed an expressive amount of produced waste in the Universitary Restaurant, it can be assured that a culture of wasting is very present and exists, contributing to the rise of solid residues, damaging the environment and consequently reflecting in the costs and expenses of the Unity, a known fact that characterizes and justifies the need of a promoting and active action that leads to positive reflexes in the economic and environmental area, drafting a Plan for Integrate Management of Solid Residues on the Universitary Restaurant of Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte / A preocupa??o com a conserva??o do meio ambiente atinge diferentes camadas e setores da sociedade mundial. A qualidade do meio ambiente de nosso planeta s? poder? ser alcan?ada atrav?s de mudan?as nas atitudes tomadas em rela??o aos res?duos gerados pela sociedade, isto tamb?m acaba por envolver o setor da educa??o, a exemplo das institui??es de Ensino Superior onde o conceito de gest?o ambiental necessita ganhar um espa?o crescente. Na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, encontra-se o Restaurante Universit?rio, que a exemplo de uma Unidade de alimenta??o e Nutri??o, ? um restaurante destinado a prestar servi?os ? comunidade acad?mica com a produ??o e distribui??o de refei??es. Neste contexto operacional o trabalho objetiva subs?dios para ? busca da gera??o m?nima poss?vel de res?duos, aplicando pr?ticas e processos ambientalmente corretos.
