This diploma thesis deals with activating teaching methods and their application into a teaching process in music education. The theoretical part deals with specific methods; e.g. comics, pantomime, reflection, visualization of listening activities, live pictures, or didactic games. The choice of selected methods depends on the particular class sample in which the methods of music education were used. Besides that, it reflects the range of the thesis itself. The practical part focuses on the implementation of activating methods in the educational process. The research was realized at the first stage of elementary education, the classes and activating methods were chosen to cover all the grades. The age of middle childhood has typical features which are essential for the development of musical skill and abilities. The range of the first stage of elementary schools is beneficial for the full implementation of the methods into music lessons. The end of the thesis brings some examples of materials showing how to work with these methods in the music education process. The working sheets are meant for students of music education and other courses as a source of inspiration helping with cross-curricular cooperation.

This Master Degree Thesis compares Kožík's novels Na křídle větrného mlýna and Neklidné babí léto with the extant correspondence, which is used in different ways in both novels. The starting point was extensive research, which provided a precise undertanding of the author's intentions. The goal was to find out how the author forms the characters and their relationship using sources, especially the correspondence. At the same time this thesis delineates the difference between facts and fiction with an example of Kožík's novels.

The thesis looks at the Czech life of the Flowers for Algernon short story written by Daniel Keyes. It aims to present an analytical comparison of the short story translations and dramatizations created in the Czech cultural environment and to define their invariants. The theoretical part of the thesis informs the reader about the life and work of Daniel Keyes and depicts the process of creation of the short story in question. Furthermore, it outlines its main themes and stylistic features, as well as its reception both in the U. S. and abroad. Special attention is paid to the reception in Czechoslovakia, or rather the Czech Republic, namely to the two short story translations (Černý, 1976; Markus, 2003) and the three original dramatizations (Říhová, 1988; Hruška, 1993; Heger, 2010). All pieces of work are presented in their broader socio-cultural context, with due regard to their authors. This contextualisation lays the foundations for the subsequent translatological analysis, which is based on Gideon Toury's descriptive model (1995). In accordance with Toury, the Czech short stories are seen as products of the target culture. Klára Paseková Abstract This thesis describes the advantages of using theater play as a didactic tool for history teaching, with specific examples from the area of Pays de la Loire, France. The special role of school externist in the context of French schools is introduced, as well as the specific place of drama play as a motivational and educational tool in connection with the subject of history. Using the example of the play Mystère sur les quais de Nantes, the usefulness of the theater play for explaining complex history concept is demonstrated. Materials for history teachers include preparation instructions, the play itself and materials for subsequent discussion session with the author Mme Le Fahler and workshop. Further analysis illustrates the specifics of creating a play for the purpose of teaching history. Next step then is preparation of project foccused on children skills developement by work with fairy tale Hansel and Gretel. Organisation of lessons in the ordinary kindergarden. Summary of the project and recomendation for praxis. Methhods as interview and observation has been used. Childern have been developping six types of inteligence by participation in this project, they also developed their ideas presentation in the group and also in comunication with the teacher. Simona Suchanová: Dramatization of Czech folk song on secondary schools (thesis) ABSTRACT This diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of dramatization of folk songs represented in textbooks for music education in the 2nd grade of elementary school. The text clarifies the phenomenon of folk song, defines the concept of dramatization as a "dramatization of the curriculum", mentions the psychological characteristics of the student in the 2nd grade of elementary school and the specifics of pedagogical work related to it. The thesis expands the methodological tasks in textbooks represented by new dramatic elements, presents new proposals for methodological tasks, conceiving dramatization as another of the creative ways of working with folk songs. In this way, it would like to contribute to the improvement and attractiveness of music education in elementary school. The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out the influence of methods and techniques of active teaching on the level of essay-writing in the basic school. The theoretical part describes chosen methods and techniques of active teaching within the context of the educational process. An experiment was carried out in the practical part and it verified the influence of these methods on the development of essay-writing potential of the pupils. The popularity of the chosen methods and techniques of active teaching was being researched by a questionnaire survey. The methods of active teaching were discovered to facilitate the success rate of the essay-writing and a statistically significant increase in the number of sentences and syntactic pairs was found in the experimental group.
