Řízení kreditních rizik při poskytování úvěrů / Credit risk management in bank financing

Hort, David January 2013 (has links)
The main objective of this diploma thesis is to simulate the regular decision-making process that a credit analyst goes through when assigning a credit limit for an operating and investment (acquisition) loan for a selected company. The introductory chapter is focused on credit risk category definition and description of main credit risk quantification and mitigation approaches both on individual as well as portfolio basis. The second, practically oriented part includes both financial and strategic analysis of selected business entity, as well as free cash flow prediction followed up by business plan development, all of these carried out in the form of basic analytical tools necessary for credit limit assignments to both short term operating and long term investment (acquisition) loans. In the final part, the selected company is being evaluated using DCF Entity business valuation framework as well as being subject to comparable companies and transactions general valuation approach. Finally, the credit limits for an operating and investment (acquisition) loans are being determined based on the analytical tools drafted within the previous chapters of this thesis.

Exploring Emerging Entities and Named Entity Disambiguation in News Articles / Utforskande av Framväxande Entiteter och Disambiguering av Entiteter i Nyhetsartiklar

Ellgren, Robin January 2020 (has links)
Publicly editable knowledge bases such as Wikipedia and Wikidata have over the years grown tremendously in size. Despite the quick growth, they can never be fully complete due to the continuous stream of events happening in the world. In the task of Entity Linking, it is attempted to link mentions of objects in a document to its respective corresponding entries in a knowledge base. However, due to the incompleteness of knowledge bases, new or emerging entities cannot be linked. Attempts to solve this issue have created the field referred to as Emerging Entities. Recent state-of-the-art work has addressed the issue with promising results in English. In this thesis, the previous work is examined by evaluating its method in the context of a much smaller language; Swedish. The results reveal an expected drop in overall performance although remaining relative competitiveness. This indicates that the method is a feasible approach to the problem of Emerging Entities even for much less used languages. Due to limitations in the scope of the related work, this thesis also suggests a method for evaluating the accuracy of how the Emerging Entities are modeled in a knowledge base. The study also provides a comprehensive look into the landscape of Emerging Entities and suggests further improvements.

Trestní odpovědnost právnických osob ve zdravotnictví / Criminal Liability of Legal Entities in Health Care

Kováčiková, Veronika January 2021 (has links)
Criminal Liability of Legal Entities in Health Care Abstract The submitted diploma thesis deals with the institute of criminal liability of legal entities in health care. The main objective of this thesis is to define all the requirements and essential elements of criminal responsibility of legal persons, especially healthcare providers. We also look into the most critical aspects of providing healthcare services in which a criminal offense may be committed. Concepts of criminal law are considered in the context of medical law. Thesis is divided into five main chapters. The first chapter focuses on conditions of criminal liability taking into account the specifics of the topic. Attention will also be paid to attributability of a crime to a legal person as well as to legal regulation in United Kingdom and France. In the second chapter we describe the most common circumstances excluding illegality in medicine. We particularly focus on medical intervention, research and experiment. These are not only accepted but also beneficial. The third chapter deals with the main concepts of medical law. If healthcare providers comply with related legal provisions, they significantly reduce the risk of committing an act against the law. Special emphasis is placed on lege artis procedure as an objective measurement of...

Trestní řízení proti právnickým osobám / Criminal Proceedings against Legal Entities

Košňar, Václav January 2021 (has links)
Criminal proceedings against legal entities Abstract Regarding the character of a legal entity as a fiction, criminal proceedings against legal entities differ in many ways in comparison with standard criminal proceedings against a natural person. The aim of this work is to analyze certain specific institutes, whose interpretation and application is problematic with respect to the interweaving of the procedural regulation contained in Act No. 418/2011 Coll. on penal liability of legal entities and proceedings against them, with the classic regulation contained in the Criminal Procedure Act. This thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical one, which serves as the introduction of the whole work, briefly discusses traditional topics related to the substance of penal liability of legal entities, i.e. reasons for its adoption, its concept, its sources and legislation, including their ongoing changes. The merit of the work is, however, its special part, which in six chapters deals with specific institutes and issues of criminal proceedings against legal entities. Gradually, in the special part of this thesis, the issue of the representation of a legal entity in proceedings is analyzed and individual subject that can perform acts on behalf of a legal entity in criminal proceedings are discussed....

Vybrané problémy trestního řízení vedeného proti právnické osobě / Selected Issues of Criminal Proceedings against a Legal Entity

Čabrádek, Josef January 2021 (has links)
Selected Issues of Criminal Proceedings against a Legal Entity Abstract As the name implies, this work deals with selected issues of criminal proceedings against a legal entity. In the presented work, the author aims to draw attention to some difficulties that may arise in criminal proceedings due to the typical nature of legal entities, and to the selected institute of criminal procedural law comparison of the application of principles of criminal proceedings between natural person and legal entities. In fact, the initial problem may be that the current criminal law relating to legal entities is launched briefly. Therefore, this work reflects the current special legislation governing criminal proceedings against legal entities in the sense of Act No. 418/2011 Coll., of criminal liability of legal entities and proceedings against them, applying the relationship of subsidiarity to the general legislation of criminal procedural law, namely Act No. 141/1961 Coll., of Criminal Procedure. At first, the author briefly addresses the question of whether the principles of criminal proceedings apply to criminal proceedings against a legal entity. For the purposes of further formulation of this work, the author simultaneously discusses in the first chapter the principle of equality before the law. In other parts of...

Rozpoznávání pojmenovaných entit v biomedicínské doméně / Named entity recognition in the biomedical domain

Williams, Shadasha January 2021 (has links)
Thesis Title: Named Entity Recognition in the Biomedical Domain Named entity recognition (NER) is the task of information extraction that attempts to recognize and extract particular entities in a text. One of the issues that stems from NER is that its models are domain specific. The goal of the thesis is to focus on entities strictly from the biomedical domain. The other issue with NER comes the synonymous terms that may be linked to one entity, moreover they lead to issue of disambiguation of the entities. Due to the popularity of neural networks and their success in NLP tasks, the work should use a neural network architecture for the task of named entity disambiguation, which is described in the paper by Eshel et al [1]. One of the subtasks of the thesis is to map the words and entities to a vector space using word embeddings, which attempts to provide textual context similarity, and coherence [2]. The main output of the thesis will be a model that attempts to disambiguate entities of the biomedical domain, using scientific journals (PubMed and Embase) as the documents of our interest.

Künstliche neuronale Netze zur Verarbeitung natürlicher Sprache

Dittrich, Felix 21 April 2021 (has links)
