Sinchroninio mikrovariklio tyrimas / Research of synchronous micromotor

The object of the final work is the magnetic field of the synchronous salient-pole reluctance micro motor and distribution of it in the air gap. The analysis of the magnetic field distribution have been made with three rotor variants: an isosceles rotor, a rotor with an arched slot of, a rotor with a rectangular slot, using a specialized field counting program - “QuickField” 4.2 Beta 1 student version. In the study, the influence of the rotor slot and the constructional air spacing to the distribution of the magnetic flux density in the air gap when the angular position of the rotor alternates from 0 to 900, every 300 was analysed. The distribution and the alternation of the magnetic permeability in the mid-cross section of the rotor vertical to its longitudinal axis was looked at. The results of this analysis could be useful for determination of the rotor magnetic reluctance according to the longitudinal and transversal axis.

O presente trabalho trata do estudo, análise, construção e teste de uma nova configuração para um atuador planar. O dispositivo, que apresenta uma movimentação sobre o plano com dois graus de liberdade a partir de um único dispositivo de tração, é formado por um carro, também chamado de primário, que apresenta dois enrolamentos trifásicos independentes, ortogonais entre si, montados em um núcleo ranhurado de material compósito magneticamente macio de grão isolado; e por um estator, também chamado de secundário, formado por uma chapa de alumínio plana montada sobre um núcleo ferromagnético igualmente plano, formando a área de trabalho ou de movimentação do primário. Através de um acionamento trifásico, os enrolamentos produzem campos magnéticos viajantes, fazendo com que correntes elétricas induzidas apareçam nos materiais eletricamente condutores do secundário. A interação entre os campos magnéticos e as correntes induzidas proporciona o aparecimento de uma força planar de propulsão na direção do campo magnético viajante, responsável pelo deslocamento do primário sobre a área de trabalho, definida pelo secundário. O atuador apresenta uma distribuição espacial da densidade de fluxo magnético em toda a sua estrutura. Este trabalho preocupa-se em analisar analítica, numérica e experimentalmente os fenômenos eletromagnéticos envolvidos, tanto em regime estático como dinâmico. O emprego de duas configurações para o secundário, utilizados separadamente, é investigado: no caso 1 é montado um núcleo de material ferromagnético sobre o qual é colocada uma chapa de alumínio; já no caso 2, é retirado o alumínio do conjunto, mantendo-se o mesmo material ferromagnético, a saber, aço maciço 1020. Uma análise estática e dinâmica, a partir do método dos elementos finitos tornou possível a verificação da densidade de fluxo magnético no entreferro e da distribuição da densidade de corrente elétrica induzidas nos materiais do secundário em função da excitação trifásica dos enrolamentos do primário, bem como a obtenção dos seus efeitos sobre a força planar de propulsão, considerando as duas configurações propostas para o estator. Além disso, pode-se comparar esses resultados, direta ou indiretamente, como os resultados analíticos e experimentais obtidos. Esses resultados apontam que existem diferenças significativas na utilização das duas configurações, indicando que o caso 1, quando utilizado de maneira adequada no sistema, produz uma melhor resposta de força em função da excitação elétrica. / The present work presents the study, analysis, implementation and test of a new type of planar actuator, the induction planar actuator with orthogonal windings. The device, which presents movement over the plan with two degrees of freedom from a unique traction device, is formed by a car, also called primary, which presents two three-phase independent winding, orthogonal among each other, assembled on a slotted core made of grain insulated soft magnetic composite material and by a stator, also called secondary, formed by an aluminum plate assembled over a plan ferromagnetic core equally plan, forming a work area or of primary movement. Through the three-phase operation drive, the windings produce traveling magnetic fields, having the electric induced current to appear at the electrically conductor materials of the secondary. The interaction between the magnetic fields and the induced currents provides the appearance of a planar traction force towards the traveling magnetic field, responsible for the displacement of the primary over the work area, defined by the secondary. The actuator presents magnetic flow density spatial distribution in all its structure. This paper is concerned about analyzing analytically, numerically and experimentally the phenomena involved as in steady as dynamic state. This thesis deals with simulation’s possibilities of the electromagnetic fields in electrical machines. A finite element method is the final element technique. The content of this thesis is a model and mesh creation and electromagnetic simulation of synchronous machine. The stator and rotor pack termination effect on the synchronous machine.is analyzed by finite element method in ANSYS program. The type of the stator termination pack is described by four segments. The magnetic field distribution is deformed due to the material properties of used segments. In the next part a methodics of mesh creation is shown. The mesh quality (in term of elements number and elements shape) is important due to the solution accuracy and speed.

This thesis is focused on determining the hydromechanical characteristics of clay suspensions, permeability and compressibility, where is the effective stress, the concentration of suspension and is the permeability. Because the compressibility or permeability can't be measured directly, I use Darcian mechanics of two-phase systems to compute the characteristics I wanted from a well- measurable quantities, measured in appropriate experiments. Work has been solved with the support of the project : Hydromechanical characteristics of clay suspensions. The first part deals with a mineralogical characteristics fylosilicates, characterization of kaolin deposits in the Bohemian Massif, physical chemistry of colloidal systems, electric double layers and electro kinetic potential. Experimental section follows later, which proceed from the assumption that the same concentration of kaolin suspension and an identical colloidal state, exposed to the same pressure-temperature conditions, exhibit the same values of hydro mechanical characteristics such as their evolution in time can be described as a continuous function. Sensorlose Flussdichteregelung für axiale Magnetlager auf Basis fraktionaler Systeme

Typischerweise wird die Rotorposition aktiver Magnetlager mit einer Lageregelung mit unterlagerter Stromregelung geregelt. Dieser Ansatz erreicht jedoch insbesondere bei axialen Magnetlagern mit massivem Kern seine Grenzen, daWirbelströme und Sättigungserscheinungen im Magnetkreis eine Diskrepanz zwischen den messbaren und kraftbildenden Spulenströmen hervorrufen. Die in der Folge erhebliche Verminderung der Lagersteifigkeit kann durch eine alternative Flussdichteregelung vermieden werden, da so unmittelbar die kraftbildende Komponente gestellt wird. In diesem Artikel stellen wir eine Regelungsvariante auf Basis eines fraktionalen Flussdichteschätzers vor, der ohne zusätzliche Sensorik auskommt und sich somit auch für bestehende Systeme implementieren lässt. Anhand von berechneten Frequenzgängen zeigen wir das große Verbesserungspotenzial dieser neuen Variante in Bezug auf Regelgüte und Stabilität im Vergleich zu einer klassischen Lageregelung mit unterlagerter Stromregelung.

Bestimmung der ortsabhängigen Neutronenflussdichteverteilung des AKR-2

In dieser Forschungsarbeit wurde die ortsabhängige Neutronenflussdichteverteilung des Ausbildungskernreaktors AKR-2 untersucht. Ziel der Arbeit war es, die radiale und tangentiale Verteilung der Neutronenflussdichte experimentell zu messen und diese Ergebnisse mit Simulationen zu vergleichen. Für die Experimente wurden Gold- und Manganelemente im Reaktor aktiviert und ihre Neutronenflussdichten mit verschiedenen Methoden gemessen, darunter die Verwendung einer Spaltkammer und die Anwendung des Monte-Carlo-Programms SERPENT zur Simulation. Es zeigte sich, dass die experimentellen Ergebnisse in allen Messmethoden eine ähnliche Verteilung der Neutronenflussdichte aufwiesen. Allerdings gab es Abweichungen zwischen den Simulationen und den experimentellen Daten, was auf die vereinfachte, eindimensionale Modellierung und die Vernachlässigung von Neutronen unterschiedlicher Energien zurückgeführt wurde. Analysis of a radial flux-air-cored permanent magnet machine with a double-sided rotor and non overlapping windings

Thesis (PhD)--Stellenbosch University, 2012. / ENGLISH ABSTRACT: In this dissertation a new type of electrical machine, a Radial Flux Air-Cored Permanent Magnet machine with a Double-sided Rotor and utilising concentrated, non-overlapping windings, is proposed. The concept of the Double-sided Rotor Radial Flux Air-Cored Permanent Magnet machine, or RFAPM machine for short, was derived from the Double-sided Rotor Axial Flux Air-Cored Permanent Magnet (AFAPM) machine. One of the problems that AFAPM machines experience, is the deflection of the rotor discs due to the strong magnetic pull of the permanent magnets, especially with double-sided rotor machines. The main advantage of a RFAPM machine over a AFAPM machine is that the rotor back-iron is cylindrically shaped instead of disk shaped. Due to the structural integrity of a cylinder, the attraction force between the two rotors does not come into play any more. The focus of this dissertation is on a thorough analytical analysis of the Double-Sided Rotor RFAPM machine. With the RFAPM being an air-cored machine, the feasibility to develop a linear, analytical model, to accurately predict the radial flux-density and hence the induced EMF in the stator windings, as well as the accurate calculation of the developed torque of the machine, needed to be investigated. The need for a thorough analytical examination of the Double-Sided Rotor RFAPM machine stemmed from the need to reduce the blind reliance on Finite Element Modelling (FEM) software to calculate the back-EMF and torque produced by these machines. Another problem experienced with the FEM software was to obtain accurate torque results. Excessive ripple torque oscillations were sometimes experienced which took a considerable amount of time to minimise with constant refinement to the meshing of the machine parts. Reduction in the mesh element size unfortunately also added to the simulation time. The requirement for an accurate analytical model of the RFAPM machine was also necessary in order to reduce the amount of time spent on successive FEM simulation to obtain the optimum pole arc width of the permanent magnet in order to minimise the harmonic content of the radial flux-density distribution in the the stator windings. In this dissertation, the use of single-layer and double-layer, non-overlapping, concentrated winding for the RFAPM machine is also investigated. It was decided to include a comparison of these two non-overlapping winding configurations with a “hypothetical” concentrated, overlapping winding configuration. This would allow us to gauge the effectiveness of using nonoverlapping winding with respect to the reduction in copper losses as well as in the reduction in copper volume. It would also allow us to investigate the extent of how much the developed torque is affected by using non-overlapping windings instead of overlapping windings. / AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: In hierdie proefskrif word ’n nuwe tipe elektriese masjien, ’n Radiale-vloed Lugkern Permanent Magneet Masjien met ’n dubbelkantige rotor en nie-oorvleuelende Windings voorgestel. Die konsep vir die Radiale-vloed Lugkern Permanent Magneet Masjien, of RVLPM vir kort, is afgelei vanaf die Dubbelkantige Rotor, Aksiale-vloed Lugkern (AVLPM) masjien. Een van die probleme wat met AVLPM masjiene ondervind word, is die defleksie van die rotorjukke as gevolg van die sterk aantrekkingskragte van die permanente magnete, veral in dubbelkantige rotor masjiene. Die behoefde aan ’n akkurate analitiese model vir die dubbelkantige rotor RVLPM masjien is om die blinde vertroue te elimineer wat daar in Eindige-Element Modellering (EEM) sagteware gestel word om die teen-EMK en ontwikkelde draaimoment van die RVLPM masjien uit te werk. ’n Verdere probleem wat daar met EEM sagteware ondervind is, is die akkurate berekening van die ontwikkelde draaimoment. Oormatige rimpel draaimoment ossillasies is soms ondervind wat heelwat tyd geverg het om te minimeer, deur voortdurende verfyning van die EEM maas in die verskillende dele van die masjien. Soos die maas egter kleiner word, verleng dit die simulasie tyd van die EEM aansienlik. Nog ’n rede vir ’n akkurate analitiese model van die RVLPM masjien, is om vinnige metode te verkry om die optimale permanente magneet pool hoekwydte te verkry, wat die minste Totale Harmoniese Vervorming (THV) in die radiale-vloeddigtheidsdistribusie in die statorgebied sal veroorsaak, sonder om herhaaldelike EEM simulasies te loop. In die proefskrif word die gebruik van enkellaag en dubbellaag, nie- oorvleuelende, gekonsentreerde wikkelings vir die RVLPM masjien ook ondersoek. Daar is besluit om hierdie twee nie-oorvleuelende windingskonfigurasies met ’n “hipotetiese” gekonsentreerde, oorvleuelende windingskonfigurasie te vergelyk. Dit behoort ons in staat te stel om die doeltreffendheid van nie-oorvleuelende windings te bepaal, met betrekking tot die afname in koperverliese asook die afname in kopervolume. Verder sal dit ons in staat stel om ook mate waartoe die ontwikkelde draaimoment deur nie-oorvleuelende windings beïnvloed word, te ondersoek.
