Energeticky úsporná budova materskej školy v Poleradoch / Low-energy building of kindergarten in Polerady

The aim of this thesis is to create project documentation for a low-energy kindergarten in Polerady. The building has one floor with a flat green roof. The layout of the kindergarten is divided into two units, which contain two classes with facilities. The thesis consists of three parts. Part A consists of documentation for the building permission. The kindergarten is designed for 30 children and is divided into two units. Part B consists of the design of building services. The building uses LED lighting, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, two heat pumps are designed for heating, which are connected to floor heating and hot water tank, on the roof of the building there are 30 photovoltaic panels. The energy produced from the panels is consumed by all appliances in the building. Part C, after creating another building energy performance certificate, compares two types of heat source. The floor heating scheme is created by calculating the heat losses of the rooms, using the DekSoft program.

The task of the diploma thesis was the theoretical and experimental design of radiators for the central heating and the prepartion of conceptual design for a pension with a wellness centre in Ostrava. The building is a free-standing three-to five-floor cellarless building. The heating system will be designed for pension rooms and a social base; within the wellness centre, the heating of a fitness centre, whirlpools, and locker rooms will be designed. The heat source will be a gas boiler house. Ventilation in the accommodation part will be natural and forced in the wellness centre with respect to thermal comfort of visitors.

A Study on Pulsation In Runehamar Tunnel Fire Tests With Forced Longitudinal Ventilation

"Fire tests involving heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) in a road tunnel with forced ventilation in Norway, conducted by SP, demonstrated a pulsation phenomena that is similar to oscillating flames and thermo-acoustic instabilities previously observed in vitiated compartments and resonant systems that meet the Rayleigh criterion, respectively. This current study investigates whether the causal phenomena can be determined using either a simple, one-dimensional fluid dynamics model or a computation fluid dynamics program. It is assumed that the leading cause for pulsation is a locally under-ventilated fire. Theoretical analysis shows that this assumption is valid and how such conditions can cause the flow field to change. A simple model is developed for a tunnel fire with forced, longitudinal ventilation. The results qualitatively represent the test data and support the assumption of a locally vitiated fire. A more sophisticated analysis, involving the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) Version 4.0, provides similar results. Although FDS calibration, using similar experiment data from the Memorial Tunnel Ventilation Test Program, demonstrates model limitations in predicting smoke layers near the solid boundaries under forced flow field, the qualitative results from both models indicates that pulsation in large tunnel fires under forced ventilation conditions results from poor mixing of the bulk flow in the near field of the fire."

The diploma thesis is focused on the design of heating and forced ventilation for the project of the family house Doubrava. In the first two chapters is briefly described the theory and there is also described the project of the family house. The next chapter deals with the design of the forced equal pressure ventilation with the heat and moisture recovery. Than the heat loss are calculated according to the norm ČSN EN 12831-1. The next part is focused on the design of heating system and the heat source for the family house Doubrava. There is described detailed design of the floor heating, including necessary calculations, and also the type of the heat pump, as the heat source and source for hot water heating, is chosen. This part also contains a selection of expansion tank and safety valve and approximate calculation of the size of the primar circuit. The last part deals with the possibilities of using renewable energy sources. At the end of the thesis, there are more detailed results of the calculations and the mechanical drawings of individual designs of the ventilation and heating system and also there are tables of the acquisition costs.

Optimalizace distribuce vzduchu ve školských zařízeních / Optimizing of air distribution in schools

The thesis deals with the issue of indoor air quality of schools and kindergartens. It focuses particularly on the inadequate ventilation and the application of forced ventila-tion in these types of buildings. The proposed solution is applied to a kindergarten in Kuřim. Measurements of the C02 concentration levels were performed in the presence and absence of air conditioning. To elaborate the proposed solution a simulation was made using a software called ANSYS Fluent. Input values for the simulation were obtained from an experimental measurement of a ventilation diffuser made by a company called Climecon ROX using the PIV method. This diffuser was then installed in the kindergarten. The measure-ments were carried out in the framework of the project the experimental validation of numerical models of the air flow in buildings marked with FAST-S-6-3387.

The second part desings air condition to concrete flat, technical report including the mechanical drawings and technical paper of used products.
