Vliv kouření na vznik nádorových onemocnění v Česku / Impact of smoking on cancer incidence in Czechia

Dušková, Kristýna January 2021 (has links)
Abstact This thesis investigate the impact of smoking on the development of cancer. The main goal of this thesis is to determine the effect of smoking on the development of cancer in Czechia in the years 1978, 1988, 1998, 2008 and 2018 with a focus on differences in time, gender and age groups. The secondary goal of the thesis is to determine the distribution of smoking prevalence by gender, age groups and level of education, as well as the dependence of smoking prevalence on the level of education, social differences in the influence of smoking on cancer. The analytical part of the work uses the method of age-standardized incidence rate, population attributable fraction and the method of binary logistic regression. Data from the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic, the Czech Statistical Office and Eurostat were used for the analysis. It has been shown that the prevalence of smoking depends on the level of education, where the probability of smoking is higher in people with a lower level of education than in people with a high level of education. In Czechia, between 1978 and 2018, the impact of smoking on the development of cancer decreased. While the impact of smoking on the development of cancer decreased in men, it was possible to observe an increase of the impact of...

Stav půdního organického uhlíku vybraných stanovišť rekultivovaných ploch Velké podkrušnohorské výsypky / Status of soil organic carbon content of selected reclaimed sites in the Podkrušnohorská dump.

KOBESOVÁ, Martina January 2013 (has links)
The main aim of this thesis was to assess the status of soil organic carbon in newly shaped soils called Velká podkrušnohorská dump in the Sokolov district and evaluate the information in relation to the physic-chemical properties of soils. Another objective was to determine the relationship between the stable and labile fractions of soil organic carbon. The amount of soil carbon (stable fraction) was measured in the solid soil samples and there was the analysis of basic physic-chemical parameters of the soil performed. The highest concentration of soil carbon was measured in the stand alders and larch. The amount of soil carbon (labile fraction) was measured in the water extract. The highest values were measured in the stand silver birch and alders. Based on this data the quotient of the labile fraction from the stable fraction was determined and the correlation of the labile and stable fractions was made. It was found out that the higher quality soils are located at the leafy trees, but it leads to leaching of organic carbon. The bulk density and coarse-grained soil fraction was determined from the physical properties and these data were used to calculate the stock of soil organic carbon. The highest value was measured in deciduous forests with small-leaved linden, in coniferous forests with larch. The stocks of soil organic carbon were converted into codes by land cover categories and the thematic map was created. It was found out that the leafy trees are much more appropriate for forest restoration, because they are characterized by the rapid initial growth, easily degradable plant litter and stable form humus. Deciduous forests are also characterized by more developed soil substrate, which is however unstable.

Krize ČSSD v letech 2013-2018 / The CSSD crisis in 2013-2018

Kusbach, Ondřej January 2020 (has links)
In the past, the Czech social democratic party was one of the most successful political formations in the Czech Republic, however, since 2013 the party is dealing with a loss of electoral support and will face the challenge of staying in the Chamber of Deputies in the upcoming years. This diploma thesis is focused on the course of events in the party during the years 2013-2018 and examines the causes of why did a party, which used to get 30% of votes and used to dominate the regional political level, got into both electoral and intra-party crisis. The first chapter of the thesis describes four main theoretical concepts, which are used for analysis of the party processes. Subsequently, the thesis is divided into two analytical chapters. The first one concerns the events, which the party went through during the selected five year period. Its content is a factual description, which is accompanied by a closer look on intra-party disputes and on the development of party electoral support. Intra-party disputes are analyzed from a media point of view with an emphasis on how the media reflected them, and the development of party electoral support is analyzed within the framework of selected time periods with regard to the impact of intra-party disputes. The second analytical chapter addresses selected...

Frakce euroskeptických politických stran v Evropském parlamentu: konstituce, podoba, politická činnost a změny v kontextu voleb do Evropského parlamentu 2019 / Eurosceptic Political Parties Faction in the European Parliament: constitution, form, political activity and changes in the context of the European Parliament elections 2019

Doležal, Tomáš January 2021 (has links)
The thesis deals in the theoretical part with a presentation and comparison of views of political science on party-political euroscepticism, including a description of the development of the form of eurosceptic factions in the European Parliament after 2014 and political subjects associated in them. Practical part presents, analyzes and interprets the voting of these political entities in the election periods 2014-2019 and 2019-2024, especially in terms of their coherence within individual factions. Both in general (overall average coherence) and by individual thematic agendas. In its outputs, the work tries, based on the obtained data, to answer the question, what are the dominant common ideological characteristics of the eurosceptic political parties represented in the European Parliament and whether they form, or can form, a separate so-called party-political family. Keywords: Euroscepticism, European Union, European Parliament, factions, political parties, populism, elections Title: Eurosceptic Political Parties Factions in the European Parliament: constitution, form, political activity and changes in the context of the European Parliament elections 2019

Frakcionace biodegradabilní části komunálního odpadu k výrobě bioplynu a k výrobě pevného biopaliva / Fractionation of biodegradable municipal waste to produce biogas and solid biofuels production

VELEK, Jindřich January 2015 (has links)
The theses deals with the use of biologically degradable waste which needs to be processed and utilized in maximum amount. It is highly desirable to apply new and well-known technologies to treat such waste efficiently and not to dispose it in landfills unreasonably, as is the case at present. The paper describes landfilling, composting, anearobic digestion, mechanical and biological treatment of waste as well as various stages of the lability concerning fractions of organic compounds. The stages of the lability concerning fractions of organic compounds are in particular determining the best utilization of such biologically degradable waste in each technology. It is advisable in this case to apply the STEAM EXPOLOSTION or IFBB technology for treatment of biologically degradable waste. These technologies were used in the proposal for the utility model which specifies how to produce biogas or solid biofuel from waste.

Mobilizační postupy LGBTQ hnutí v současném Madridu / Politicizing Sexualities: Mobilization practices and networking within the LGBTQ movement in contemporary Madrid

Wiesnerová, Vendula January 2010 (has links)
This ethnographic study intends to explain the recent mobilization practices within the LGBTQ movement in contemporary Madrid in reference to the strategic use of identity and networking in collective action. It describes the Spanish movement as an ideologically polarized heterogeneous aggregate. The active challenging groups criticize the dominant part of the movement for giving up its original message of sexual liberation and diluting it in consumerism by supporting capitalist tendencies and the power of leading political parties. Via launching protest campaigns and collaborating in internationally supported networks with other ideologically related social movement communities, the challenging groups demand civil rights for all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or identity. They mobilize upon the collective identity of "precariousness" while integrating elements of queer and transgender theory into their radical leftist oriented politics in order to transform the Spanish society. By bringing on new critical ideas and adherents, the success of the leftist oriented challenging groups has an impact on the direction of the politics of the dominant group, which thereby is forced to adopt such ideas into their politics. Despite the disunity and antagonistic character of the movement, the...

Biodegradace polychlorovaných bifenylů pomocí ligninolytických hub a jejich enzymů / Biodegradation of polychlorinated biphenyls by white - rot fungi and their enzymes

Linhartová, Lucie January 2010 (has links)
Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) represent relevant persistent organopollutants of the environment and the estimated amount of PCB released into the environment is 750000 metric tons. White-rot fungi have been studied for long time due to their degradative potential toward various aromatic pollutants and it is known that these fungi are able to decompose PCB in vivo. Biodegradation of PCB by the fungus Pleurotus ostreatus was studied in the frame of this work. A high degradative efficiency of P. ostreatus was observed in the first set of experiments, even in the presence of relative high amount of added PCB. Fungus was able to transform 780±50 µg out of the intial amount 1000 µg in 20 ml of a cultivation media within 42 days. A decrease in toxicity was recorded during the degradation that suggests the suitability of this organism for a practical use in decontamination. In vitro experiments with purified laccase induced with Cu2+ from this fungus did not prove any participation of the enzyme in the first step of PCB transformation. The enzyme did not show an ability to degrade PCB even after purification from cultivation media containing PCB. It was found that the first step of PCB transformation can be performed by an intracellular process with microsomal fraction. A degradation of 44-67% was observed for...

Studium metabolismu 17 α-ethinylestradiolu cytochromy P450 / Study of the metabolism of 17α-ethinylestradiol by cytochromes P450

Valášková, Petra January 2014 (has links)
A synthetic estrogen 17α-ethinylestradiol (EE2) is the main active component of the hormonal contraceptive pills. The rise of consumption of hormonal contraceptives has increased the risk of the back negative effects of EE2 to aquatic organisms. EE2 belongs to the endocrine disruptive compounds known for mimicking natural hormones. A more detailed examination of the transformation of this compound in vivo and in vitro can contribute to a better understanding of its negative effects. This master thesis is therefore devoted to the study of the metabolism of EE2 in two selected model organisms. The ligninolytic fungus Pleurotus ostreatus is the type of fungi with promising biodegradation ability to a lot of pollutants. These properties have led to numerous studies of the degradation potential of P. ostreatus towards EE2, with the possibility of removing this compound from the environment. EE2 has been degraded by the fungus P. ostreatus in vivo resulting in one hydroxylated metabolite, which estrogenic activity is in need for further study. In vitro studies were carried out with a microsomal fraction isolated from the mycelium of this fungus. The conversion of EE2 in vitro via CYPs dependent on NADPH has not been demonstrated, however using KHP as a cofactor, there was one metabolite of EE2 found,...
