Assad, Sheima, Eriksson, Anne-Charlotte January 2014 (has links)
In the society we live today, we see a lack of social bondthat existed in earlier societies. This, now individualistic society, creates insecurity, especially for younger people. Those individuals who hold weak social capital, where social ties are included, easily collects in a drug abuse problems.  The aim of this study was to investigate the field, which is called the third sector or civil society. We were interested in the support and the opportunities they have to offer to the significant other, where there are children or young people who are stuck in a drug-related addiction. It was conducted as a survey of the civilian organizations, dealing with substance abuse problems, inKarlstad. Data collection method was semi-structured interviews. All the data is the review using analysisand coding that led to the categories. Related to the three theories have been made : empowerment , social capital and the salutogenic perspective with SOC. The theorists who are linked to these are: Bourdieu. Coleman, Putnam and Antonovsky. The result demonstrates that there is some support from the third sector for relatives who have. Our respondents pointed out that they want an extension of support to relatives. This is so that if families are strengthened so chances are much higher that the young loseand maintain their absence from drugs. The main category that emerged through the data is referred to as the civil society support. The study also reports four sub-categories and related themes. The following are the four sub-categories: Individual opportunities, Lack of support,Social relationships and Support the organization. The discussion included whether we have reached our purpose and problem definition. We also discuss whether we could have proceeded otherwise in data collection. Future research can be done on our results by an extension of the study comes about , for example, interference by authorities or other local authorities and make a comparison of what support they offer and how they perform this support. There was also a request of respondents to learn about the relatives perceive the aid sector three offers today and how they feel about the missing support from the community in general. If civil unions were to disappear or reduce in scope, it would result in the ability to support dependents would decrease and not only make them feel worse than they would otherwise need to feel in this drug process and that it would be very negative for the work day occurs from these organizations in combating an addiction to drugs . Before our study, there was nothing like it in this area within the municipality of Karlstad. For this reason, we hope that our work will lead to developments in this area. We also expect that the study will lead to further cooperation between the three sectors and a sector. This is because of the economic aspects seems to be higher in the latter sector, so that more families will have the opportunity to support, but that sector three for that matter should have to feel dependent on one sector.
