11	Marná léčba v intenzivní péči / Futile care in intensive care Formáčková, Jitka January 2014 (has links) V ANGICKÉM JAZYCE THE FUTILE TREATMENT IN THE INTENSIVE CARE The theoretical part is define the concept of the futile treatment, analyze its legal and ethical context, especially within nursing and medical interventions, categorize the treatment and summarize the procedure of making decisions of changing the treatment in the Czech Republic. The purpose of the theoretical part is mapping the situations when the intensive care is pointless and how to proceed in the situations like these. The practical part will process a qualitative research by a form of personal interviews with several representatives of the professional public. The purpose of the practical part is to describe their personal experiences with this issue and to know their opinions of the situations when the futile retreatment is under way and how to categorize a treatment correctly. 12	Občanskoprávní aspekty poskytování paliativní péče / Civil law aspects of the provision of palliative care Vráblová, Barbora January 2020 (has links) Civil law aspects of the provision of palliative care Abstract This dissertation focuses on topics related to the area of intensive medicine and palliative care. In particular, the clinical environment where legal controversies related to the confrontation of two different approaches, curative and palliative, are discussed. The dissertation follows the structure of the medical law area in common law often called "Law at the end of life". The first part of the dissertation is dedicated to an analysis of relevant concepts in a more general fashion. This includes the concept of medical futility, the legal distinction between 'withholding' and 'withdrawing' life-sustaining treatment and euthanasia. One chapter focuses on the decision-making process at the end of life, and the ways of solving conflicts amongst persons involved in the process. Another chapter is dedicated to a detailed analysis of the Czech regulation of advance directives. The second part of the dissertation focuses on specific issues related to the provision of care at the end of life. These include decisions related to cardiopulmonary resuscitation and DNR orders, the deactivation of pacemakers, and palliative sedation. 14	Metabolizmus tukové tkáně u myší s obezitou indukovanou dietou s vysokým obsahem tuku: závislost na anatomické lokalizaci tkáně a složení / The metabolism of an adipose tissue in mice with high-fat diet-induced obesity: the role of anatomical localization of the tissue and diet composition Krsková, Kateřina January 2016 (has links) Regulation of the flow of fatty acids (FA) by futile cycle (TAG/FA cycle) in white adipose tissue (WAT) is an important mechanism of controlling metabolism of FA and therefore its regulation is in the interest of research as a possible therapeutic target in the treatment of obesity and insulin resistance. The study of the murine model suggests that the treatment of the n-3 PUFA with mild caloric restriction (CR) probably induces the TAG/FA cycle mainly in epididymal depot. It also reduces inflammation in WAT and the risk of cardiovascular diseases. We focused on monitoring the gene expression encoding key enzymes of the TAG/FA cycle (PEPCK, ATGL, HSL, DGAT1 and DGAT2) in dorzolumbar (DL), gonadal (GON) and mesenteric (MEZ) depot in a murine model C57BL/6 using qPCR. We were interested in the influence of the composition of fats in the diet, the influence of administration of n-3 PUFA with combination of 10% CR and the difference of gene expression among depots of WAT. The results indicate that the supplementation of high-fat diet with n-3 PUFA contributes mainly to reduction of gene expression for DGAT2 and the combination of n-3 PUFA and CR increases expression of genes influencing the TAG/FA cycle. Cílem výzkumného šetření bylo, prostřednictvím rozhovorů se sestrami, vyhledat a popsat etické problémy, se kterými se setkávají sestry při péči o umírající kontextu tří různých prostředí a v konkrétních situací Ve třetí kapitole uvádím komentované výsledky rozhovorů, ze kterých vyplynulo, že se sestry zamýšlejí nad ochranou lidského života v jeho kvalitou, dystanázií, marnou léčbou, rozdílem mezi ponecháním pacienta zemřít a eutanázií, autonomií, lidskou důstojností a poskytováním paliativní péče. One is devoted to issue dysthanasia, that approached as manipulation with death. Work looks for sources of dysthanasia and one finds is in contemporary attitudes medicine and patients to deaths, dehumanization of medicine and diversion from traditions. That also looks for pathway to prevention of dysthanasia. One sees is in repeated humanization of medicine, in accept the concept futile treatment and the capabilities to distinguish ordinary and extraordinary means. This work offers the alternative of dysthanasia palliative care and seeks for a position of social worker in it.
