It was verified how this convergence provokes the expansion of the school and the concept of expanded school was applied to this practice. The research was qualitative with the use of an action research, developed through the interaction between the teacher and researcher with the students of high school groups in the classroom, for two years, with different pedagogical practices at different times.Initially, the activities focused in the traditional proposal of the production of printed reading diaries, an later, it gones to re-signification of the reading using digital media and new technologies to study language and culture in classes of German literature.The research and the analysis of qualitative character are anchored theoretically in the thought of Claudia Hardagh, Ángel L. Pérez Gómez. Lucia Santaella, Pierre Levy e André Lemos, with regard to the different technologies, the convergence of these in the expanded school proposal. / A dissertação baseia-se em pesquisa qualitativa sobre práticas pedagógicas diversificadas, nas aulas de alemão no Ensino Médio do Colégio Humboldt (São Paulo, SP). Ao longo de dois anos, a pesquisadora e professora do grupo de alunos, sujeitos dessa pesquisa, planejou e acompanhou atividades pedagógicas, desenvolvidas com diferentes didáticas e mediadas por artefatos digitais e analógicos, voltadas ao estudo da língua e cultura alemã. O objetivo é analisar o trabalho com gêneros literários e sua releitura a partir de materiais produzidos pelos estudantes, tais como diários de leitura impressos, conteúdos para mídias digitais e artefatos, que provocam a convergência das mídias e a expansão da escola. A análise e interpretação dos materiais produzidos no locus da pesquisa procuraram responder o problema sintetizado nesta questão: será que as práticas pedagógicas mediadas por mídias em convergência podem expandir a escola e potencializar o aprendizado da língua e alemã? Os procedimentos metodológicos adotados contemplam o caráter qualitativo da pesquisa. Os fundamentos teóricos encontram-se no pensamento de educadores como Claudia Hardagh, Ángel L. Pérez Gómez. Lucia Santaella, Pierre Levy e André Lemos, cujas obras abordam temas e conceitos sobre as diferentes tecnologias e a convergência destas na proposta de escola expandida.
