The diploma thesis deals with distance teaching, in empiric part of the thesis specifically with distance teaching of geography in spring of 2020 at secondary schools and appropriate degree of grammar schools. Title: The comparison of the conditions for teaching Educational area of Man and Health in primary and secondary schools Objectives: Research whether schools have such conditions for teaching Educational area of Man and Health in order to achieve the objectives of framework educational programs. Research basic information about the structure of PE teachers in primary and secondary schools and on the structure of PE teachers in Prague and Pilsen region. Research the different conditions of teaching Educational area of Man and Health in primary and secondary schools in Prague and Pilsen Region. Propose appropriate solutions to improve the situation. Methods: We used for comparison of results of non-standardized questionnaire containing mainly closed types of questions. The questionnaire survey was for PE teachers in elementary and secondary schools. The surveyed regions were Pilsen Region and Prague. Results: We found that overall conditions in schools meet the standards of basic curricula. Overall conditions prevent attainment of the objectives and tasks set out in the basic curricula. Conditions for physical education are demonstrably better at primary schools than at secondary schools. Higher educated teachers are located at secondary schools and in Prague Region. This diploma thesis focuses on Media Education in English language classes. The first section introduces media in general and deals with media education and its place in Framework Educational Programme for grammar schools. Next part monitors the ways of using media education in other school subjects and describes methodology itself. On the basis of this knowledge some of the methodological books are analysed. The last part of the first section introduces advertisements and their main characteristics. The second section presents a project of media education which is called Advertisement and Slogan. The project was prepared to be used in three English lessons. The structure, aims and methods of each of them as well as lesson plans and the process of each lesson are described in detail. The final part is devoted to students? and teacher?s evaluations.

The final thesis deals with an application of project within history lessons at secondary grammar schools of the Administrative Region of Ústí nad Labem .The thesis summarizes the basic theoretical findings on a projects realisation together with findings gathered by the empirical research at secondary grammar schools of Administrative Region of Ústí nad Labem. The research focused on recognising a present status of incorporating and using projects in the history lessons, and on the experience of pupils and teachers with this specific teaching strategy. On the grounds of connecting these findings, the thesis provides the reflection of possible using of projects in the course of history lessons (not only as a supplement of ordinary lessons). The thesis recognises a present status of projects realisation within history lessons, including the favoured topics, a way of realisation, outcomes, and a brief summary of particular projects offered by external organisations. The thesis deals with positives and negatives of projects realisation in accordance with opinions of pupils and teachers of secondary grammar schools of Administrative Region of Ústí nad Labem. The thesis also contains two proposals of history projects that might be used by teachers for creating their own projects.

The Castle of Education and the Nation is a work concerning secondary segment of schooling system in the political district of Sušice. The time scope of the work is framed by two school reforms from years 1869 and 1953. The work is divided into four topic areas. The opening part dedicates its attention to crucial literature regarding secondary schools, based on it the development of the secondary schooling in the inquired period is outlined, also the formation and evolution of secondary schooling in the political district of Sušice. Second part founded on the primary source research. All secondary schools in the political district of Sušice are analysed in detail with the emphasis put on changes in numbers of students in particular class, their gender and language composition and their geographical and socio-professional background. Emphasis is also laid on the percentage of the studying, who completed particular school successfully. The third part of this work builds on the second part. It sums up and generalises the results of the analysis and manipulates with it further using some theories from the field of history, sociology and the theory of nationalism.
