The goal of my thesis is to design a support for a CNC horizontal surface grinder, using the working area of grinding wheel circumference. The proposal is based on the client’s requirements for several variants of the propulsion drive and guide systems.

This diploma thesis deals with grinding of parts of valves. In the first part is theoretically described valve and its manufacturing. Another part focuses on the analysis of existing grinding technology. In last part of this diploma thesis is written about choosing of suitable places for rationalization, design of rationalization and technical-economic evaluation of performed rationalization.

This thesis is intended on modernizing of grinding operations in production cam shafts of injection pump. Existing technology, mainly special-purpose machines, will be replaced by modern CNC grinding machine. Further modernization will take place in the area of measurement, where existing measuring instruments cannot measure profile of cams. There will be used the new measuring machine, which will manage to measure necessary dimensions and tolerances.

This master's thesis deals with vibrodiagnostics and its use for monitoring of the vibration transmission during grinding of large shafts at Siemens Electric Machines s.r.o. based in Drásov. Diagnostic system for machine tools testing was designed as well as a measurement methodology, which is used to detect the vibration transfer from the grinding spindle to the workpiece. Influences that affect the quality of the ground surface were determined, based on evaluation of measured data. The last part is dedicated to a proposal of a diagnostic and measuring system.
