Hot och våld mot socialsekreterare : En kunskapsöversikt om hot och våld samt förebyggande arbeteXaajixasan, Bisharo January 2021 (has links)
ABSTRACT Threats and violence against social workers The purpose of this study is to gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of threats and violence against social workers, including in family teams and support units, but also knowledge of the preventive work to prevent threatening and violent situations that could arise. This was done by using a scoping review method. A literature search was performed on databases of SocINDEX and Swepub. The delimitation was on studies published from 2005-2020 that are relevant to threats and violence against social workers. Eleven articles were analyzed and in the result section, one can read a common thread about what social workers consider to be part of their work, which is relatively common for threats and violence to occur in their workplaces, also in connection with home visits. According to the analyzed articles, threats and violence are common and many social workers believe that it is part of the work, as long as you have good support from your manager and your colleagues, which most people feel they have. Action plans are an important element in the preventive work but can also work the other way around if a person does not follow the routines in the action plan. The responsibility for maintaining zero tolerance lies with the management, but the employee has a responsibility to report all incidents, regardless of how small and large it is as reporting is an important part of prevention. Employees with many years of work experience in the social services seem to have better knowledge regarding how to handle threats and violence than new employees.
