The thesis deals with women in Komerční banka focusing on their career and possibilities of work-life balance. The main aim of the thesis is to find out an attitude of the bank towards the equal opportunities, employees' awareness of instruments of family policy as well as the biggest difficulties in women's career. In order to support the practical part of the thesis, we present information about women's role in society, women in the media, career, equal rights and work-life balance. The adopted method of the empirical part is an individual interview with women managers and a questionnaire aimed at selected employees of the bank.

The diploma thesis deals with the status of women in the labour market. The thesis outlines gender issues and focuses on the principle of equal opportunities for men and women, which has become largely a public issue. The thesis aims to explore two areas in the sphere of employment. The first aim is to detect differences in the status of women in the labour market regarding the level of employment equality and to identify factors that affect them. The second aim is focused on finding differences in the gender pay gap and to identify factors that determine them. The situation of women in the labour market and the wage differences is a statistical examination of data on the Czech Republic. The thesis presents a conclusive explanation of gender inequality in the labour market and the problem of harmonizing work and family life. The legislation is also presented, which represents the efforts of the state to eliminate unequal access to women. Results of the analysis made comprehensive findings of developments and current status of women in the labour market set in a European context.

The topic of this master thesis is the German tax system which is a relatively complicated entity. The aim of this thesis is to provide the updated and practical information useful for the Czech exporters and for their business activities in Germany. The thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter describes the main export features from the Czech Republic to Germany. Next chapter analyses the different legal forms of companies that can be set up in Germany. The third chapter presents the process of the tax harmonisation and co-ordination within the EU. Next two chapters create the practial part of the master thesis. Particular types of both direct and indirect taxes are object of the fourth chapter. Finally, the last chapter applies the theoretical knowledge gained from the previous parts of the thesis in form of examples and situations from the tax practice and real business life of the entrepreneurs who export their goods and services to Germany.

This thesis discusses two family policy models in the two selected Central European countries; the Czech Republic and Austria. The aim is to carry out a comparative analysis of these measures of family policy, which relates to aid reconciliation of family and professional life for families with children. Within this study of individual level measures of family policies in the selected countries, first the measures involving the formation of family and work roles in family life will be explored, followed by the possibility of interaction of the two family policies. The integral parts of the analysis will asses these measures from a gender perspective. The result of this work is a detailed comparison of the components of family policy, which affect the reconciliation of family and professional lives of families with child/children, including evaluation of the effectiveness of individual measures in the two selected countries. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the role of selected companies in the area of work-life balance of employees, with a focus on the concept of corporate social responsibility. The issue of reconciliation both parts of life has recently become a topic that attracts more and more attention as there has been an incresed number of people facing struggles in this area. Therefore, in the first part of the thesis the topic of work-life balance was put into social context, subsequently into the context of public and social policy and finally also to the concept of corporate social responsibility which represents a framework through which the work-life balance issue is viewed. There are lots of actors influencing one's possibilities regarding reconciliation of work and personal life, however, employers are one of the most significant ones. The thesis thus focuses on two companies with a different scope of work-life balance policy in a form of case study. English Summary: The thesis "The State Support for Families in the Social Protection System - the Comparison of the Current Situation in the Czech and Slovak Republics" focuses on the comparison of the current direct financial aid to families with young children. The attention was paid to the social situations associated with pregnancy, motherhood and parenting, as the birth of a child means economic and social consequences for most families, especially the increased financial costs connected with education and child care and parenting and the negative impact of motherhood on employment of the women with young children. The theoretical part defines the principles, objectives and models of family policies and their ability to deal with social events of the families with children. In the following part the quick analysis of the participants was carried out in order to assess their attitudes and interests as for the family policy. Diploma thesis "Woman family-work life balance and social state" is dealing with the issue of woman coming back to work/on the job market after maternity leave as well as the conflict of family and work roles. Thesis is focusing also on other impacting factors of this issue - legislative, institutional and structural factors. Part of the diploma thesis is based on qualitative research (group discussion, one-on-one interviews), which is offering a different perspective on the topic from the side of personal attitudes and opinions of respondents. Main methods used in diploma thesis are secondary source analysis, respondent analysis, partly-structured interviews and "focus-group" method. The thesis is based on several theoretical approaches, mainly the welfare state theory, theory of labour market and theory of society, respectively family as a social institution. Diploma thesis is divided into 14 chapters. The main part of the thesis consists of eight chapters, first one is oriented on stakeholder analysis of researched problem.
