PŘÍHONSKÁ, Lucie January 2013 (has links)
Patient´s role hasn´t changed several decades. Patient is only taken as a thing, he often stands in a lower position as a powerless human been, whom other people decide for. He doesn´t have the possibility to decide by him and he has to remind to medical stuff, which act mainly authoritatively and it comes to inability of the relation: medic- patient. It´s generally known that each human been has the ability to decide about himself by the law and nobody has the right to deny it from the patient in 21st century. There is diverse situation in private medical institution. The patient is on a first place in planning care here. He is on higher position to medical stuff and he decides by himself in what ways he´s going to be treated and in what conditions. Patient is fully informed about his medical stage, what is often left out in state institution.

Ekonometrická analýza dopadu regulačního poplatku na délku pobytu v nemocnici / Econometric analysis of effects of regulatory fees on length of stay in hospital

Junga, Přemysl January 2012 (has links)
The thesis analyses the influence of reimbursement regulatory fee for hospitalization which was introduced in regional hospitals in 2009 in Czech Republic. The difference in differences analysis was used to study the possible relationship between reimbursement of the fee for length of hospitalization in acute care hospitals and in after-care facilities. In acute care the influence was 0,5-1 % of the length and in after-care facilities between 8-12 %. This relationship may be biased because of introduction of DRG system which may decrease the length of stay and may be differently distributed between the treatment and control groups.

Petr, Tomáš January 2013 (has links)
The thesis is devoted to the issue of involuntary hospitalization in the field of psychiatry. Involuntary psychiatric hospitalization is accompanied by a wide range of ethical issues and practical problems. In the theoretical part of the thesis I describe the involuntary hospitalization from several different points of view. I pay attention to international conventions and documents relating to the issue, reveal the historical roots of involuntary hospitalization, compare the situation in different European countries and mention some important judicial decisions concerning the involuntary admission of a person. Using a comprehensive approach I map all the important aspects of this sensitive area in health care provision. In the research part, using both - the quantitative and the qualitative approach, I offer a more detailed look at two selected aspects surrounding the involuntary hospitalization. The first part of the research is focused on the subjective experiences of involuntarily admitted patients. 88 patients participated in the research. These patients described their perception of coercion, the possibility or impossibility of influencing decisions about hospitalization and subsequent treatment, the level of autonomy and emotional experience. The second part of the research is aimed at...
