Thesis depicts economic development of the Czechoslovakia in the period from 1949 to 1989 with the focus on individual aspects of transformation to centrally planned economy -- private ownership elimination, collectivization, concentration on heavy industry etc. The aim is to demonstrate key problems of centrally planned economy on the example of the Czechoslovakia and describe specific manifestation of its low efficiency in subsequent periods of communist dictatorship. Thesis also briefly analyses changes realized during process of economic transformation in the beginning of 20th century and compares its development with other countries of former Eastern Bloc.

Fuel cells are a promising alternate power source of electricity. Despite of sig- nificant improvement that was reached by research throughout recent decades, the technology is not still ready to large scale commercial use. The catalyst of fuel cell (FC) should be still investigated due to fact that the only reliable functional catalyst is Platinum, a noble and expensive metal, which makes the use of this technology not competitive. In this thesis, investigation of Platinum doped ceria catalyst and its modification prepared by physical technique of deposition which is magnetron sputtering is presented. The catalyst was studied using standard sur- face analytic techniques (PES, SEM, AFM, XANES) as well as electrochemical measurement (CV, PEIS). The principal part of this thesis reports direct analyses of catalyst in fuel cell using an individually designed fuel cell test station. Con- sidering the high power density (PD) about 1 W cm−2 and substantially higher specific power per gram of Platinum (SP) 1.6 kW mg−1 in comparison with com- mercial Pt-Ru/Pt-C reference catalyst and additionally the relatively longtime stability, the sputtered Platinum doped cerium oxide based catalyst was found a suitable catalyst for PEM FC. This diploma thesis on the topic “Research of possible ways how to inform residents of Velké Meziříčí about waste management in the city” deals with issue of waste management in the European Union and the Czech Republic and also the option to expand the awareness of the population, students and pupils in the city. This thesis focuses on the questionnaire survey, which finds out the current awareness of the population in the waste management. Based on the findings outlined measures that could lead to the improvement of the existing condition. Each designed measure was discussed and consulted with the waste manager at the Municipal office of Velké Meziříčí and with director of Technical services in Velké Meziříčí s.r.o. For each proposal have been communicated to the different view and possible implementation in the future In conclusion are summarized information’s and proposals that city should follow to improve the situation of waste management.

The main focus of this work is to prepare the contribution of forestry and forest management for the development of economic sectors in the Czech Republic. The work was dividend into variol historici stages of development of czech society, since Premyslids dynasty until the presence, with the specialization primarily in basic economic sector of the Midldle Ages and the Modern Age. The information was organized into a comprehensive work. The work attains the given task, and is complemented by graphs, charts and timelines. In conclusion, all detected information were rand from the perspective of practical bendit for present forest management in Czech Republic, and its anticipated development.

Dále se práce zabývá vlivem Dohody o volném obchodě (NAFTA) na vývoj vzájemných vztahů, migrací a možnými východisky řešení vzájemných vztahů.

The purpose of thesis is to analyze waste management with focus on municipal waste, it is processing and it is recycling. This analysis is based on studies of specialist texts of Waste Management Plan of surrounding countries, WMP of Czech Republic in the period 2015-2024 and the WMP of time-frame 2016-2025 with prior evaluation of the WMP of a town. Then the thesis deals with waste management and treatment of municipal waste of Hradec Králové based on a field survey and consultations, it has documented equipment for treatment of municipal waste in the form of recycling plants, compost plant, secondary raw material collection centres, transfer stations, sorting lines and landfill. In the questionnaire-based survey for residents it identified their awareness, satisfaction with the system of collection, access to waste sorting and the distance to collection containers. Then the thesis deals with quality of life for residents in relation to waste management in Hradec Králové The thesis contains large numbers of processed graphs, tables, map reproductions in Arc GIS and the authors photo documentation of devises for waste management.

Significant changes occurred in economic realm by declaration of Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia on March 16, 1939, and its integration into German economic sphere. The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the response of then society, primarily professional public (economists, lawyers, and politicians), and its appraisal and reception of the situation. The investigation is conducted on the basis of selected articles published in magazine 'Obzor národohospodářský' (Economic horizon) from 1938, 1939, 1940 and 1941, when the publishing was interrupted. The thesis should contribute to a depiction of protectoral economy in the subjective perception of the authors of the magazine.

(in English): This thesis examines and tests the hypothesis whether political entity, in literature traditionally referred to as the "Aztec Empire", was actually an empire equivalent to European states of that age. Based on this hypothesis there are two objectives in this paper. The first one is to answer the question of what principles really stood on this political entity, how the relationships between the core of the empire and other provinces varied and what affected these relationships. The second objective is to examine the economic system of the Aztec empire because that was extensively intertwined with its political actions and influenced them. All three components of the Aztec economy are analyzed, thus supplying the Triple Alliance on its own (intensive agriculture, trade) and extracting tributes from conquered territories. Attention is also paid to the history of "Aztec empire" and its Mesoamerican context. The main sources are edited sources from early colonial times, depicting the situation before the arrival of Europeans and secondary literature, stemming mainly from ethnohistorical research.

The aim of this thesis is analysis of the most important aspects that affect the German economy and its role in the European Union.

The thesis analyses the effects of tourism on Austrian national economy. It focuses on two aspects, the influence of tourism on the gross domestic product and the employment. The thesis summarizes the use of European Union structural funds for the development of tourism and compares the position of single provinces (Bundesländer) in both Austria's national economy and tourism. It explores the possibilities of tourism building up the less developed regions and translates Austrian experience with tourism policies to Czech Republic.
