Postmoderní obraz světa podle Petera Sloterdijka / Postmodern image of the world by Peter Sloterdijk

Vodička, Bohumil January 2014 (has links)
7 The abstract I consider the works of Peter Sloterdijk in my thesis. I concentrate to Sloterdijk's way of understanding of the topic cynicism in the relationship to kynicism. At first I try to describe the topic cynicism which I consider as very important to understand Sloterdijk's way of understanding of the European history in the book Falls Europa erwacht. I try to explain, how the cynicism influences various parts of life, I consider particularly the military cynicism and the cynicism of power. I consider the political and philosophical vision of Europe in the second part of the thesis because the history of Europe and its state nowadays was influenced by the cynicism very strongly. I try to explain Sloterdijk's imagination of the way out from this situation.

Globální televizní formáty a jejich adaptace v zemích střední Evropy / Global television formats and their adaptation in Central Europe

Vachová, Kateřina January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe how successfully are global television formats adapted in the region of Central Europe. Media systems in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia were considerably transformed after the fall of communism in the 1990s. Television markets started to be built within the new media systems. This thesis describes a globalization theory with focus on the concepts of cultural imperialism and cultural globalization. Emergence of the global television formats is one of the most visible processes within the globalization. There is a prevailing opinion presently that the global formats contributes in some ways to cultural heterogenization and pluralization. Local adaptations of global formats acquire meanings of national culture. The term glocalisation is connected with spreading of the global formats. This term is nowadays used more often than the term globalisation in relation to global formats. This diploma thesis is concerned with the adaptation of formats in the countries of Central Europe. Popularity of global formats in this region is compared on the basis of ratings. There is also evaluated which format has the most universal impact in the region and if audiences in these countries have similar cultural preferences. Afterwards, other trends typical...

Imperialismus EU: Současné mise SBOP / EU's Imperialism: Contemporary CSDP Missions

Šmardová, Martina January 2018 (has links)
The thesis focuses on the contemporary CSDP missions of the European Union from the point of view of critical literatures on imperialism, state-building and capacity-building. State-building and capacity-building gradually became dominant approaches towards weak and failing states which are associated with the exercise of power and influence in the critical literature, e.g. in David Chandler on whose argument this thesis draws on. The thesis develops Chandler's argument by means of analysis of intervention practices in the selected cases.

Ruská zahraniční politika od nástupu Putina: Rusko jako eurasijská velmoc? / Russia's Foreign Policy Since Putin: Russia as a Eurasian Great Power?

Bílý, Prokop January 2013 (has links)
This thesis deals with the Russia's foreign policy pursued by presidents Vladimir Putin and Dmitri Medvedev, respectively. The studied phenomenon is viewed through the lens of the theory of neo-Eurasianism, coined by the Russian philosopher and political scientist Alexander Gelevich Dugin. The starting point of the neo-Eurasian geopolitical theory is a conviction that the current world order is unipolar and that the U.S.-led globalization is an instrument of its reproduction. The alternative to the hostile, free development of nations curtailing, Atlantic order is represented by multipolarity which, according to the neo-Eurasian theory, will supposedly be established through the messianic mission of Russia-Eurasia, which has nevertheless first to free itself from the Atlantic bond. Application of the neo- Eurasian theory in the context of Russian foreign policy since 2000 then points to the conclusion that Russia's foreign policy can, to some extent, be considered neo-Eurasian.

Dětská literatura jako prostředek manipulativního šíření ideologie / 'But it's only a children's book' - children's literature as a vehicle of manipulative ideological dissemination

Moravčíková, Hana January 2015 (has links)
The historical era between 1850 and 1950 is known to be a turbulent period reflected not only in adult literature but also in the texts written for children. This unusually rich period in terms of political, social and ideological development certainly influenced most parts of the world. However, it was particularly important for England mainly for the transition of the Victorian era and Edwardian period to the modern history initiated by the WW I. Throughout this period many new ideologies arose and scientific discoveries were more numerous than ever. In 1859, for instance, Darwin's On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection was published and initiated the still on-going war period between Christianity and science. At the same time, the concept of childhood started to be understood in a different way and books written for children became a common commodity converting the end of 18th century in the Golden Age of children's literature. However, according to Peter Hunt's publication Understanding Children's Literature, 'all texts are inevitably infused by ideologies'. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is firstly, to study the way in which ideologies are incorporated in the texts for children (overt or covert) and secondly, the extent to which the texts for children become a vehicle of...

Rozvoj Nollywoodu na pozadí globalizačních procesů v mediálním světě / The growth of Nollywood against the backdrop of globalization processes in the media world

Černá, Jana January 2015 (has links)
The Nigerian entertainment industry called Nollywood has for several years been one of the top audiovisual producers worldwide in regards to the volume of media produced. However, its market is to a large extent isolated from the dominant media flows, which has inspired interest for a detailed study of its role in the global cultural scene. The thesis is a theoretical treatise about the history and the present situation of Nollywood, which the author discusses in the context of the two seemingly oppositional paradigms of the globalization discourse: cultural imperialism and cultural globalization. To gather the most up-to-date and the most complex information, the thesis uses theoretical methods, such as the analysis, synthesis and comparison of the articles found in science journals and literature. The text is comprised of three main parts. After a brief introduction into the current situation in Nigeria and the historical development of its audiovisual media, the second chapter discusses the birth of Nollywood for the first time in the Czech academia, as well as its current production and distribution principles. In this part of the thesis, the focus is given to the description of the extent of Nollywood's influence in the world, including the Czech Republic, talking both about the audience size...
