Brno: Mendel University, 2019 Diploma thesis deals with the performance evaluation of manufacturing company. Diploma thesis is split in two parts – theoretical and practical part. In the theoreti-cal part there is a literature search of the issue of measuring the performance of the company and its tools which, are applied in the practical part. In the practical part is performed evaluation of company performance based on traditional financial analysis, bankruptcy and credit models and calculation of EVA indicator. Furthermore, the Balanced Scorecard method is implemented. Based on the results, the performance of the company is evaluated and at the same time measures for its increase are proposed.

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of impact on the economic crisis from 2008 on tourism, focused on accommodation in the Czech republic. The basis for this analysis are data obtained from the Amadeus database. The theoretical part is related to the economic importance of tourism and the history of economic crises in the context to the 2008 crisis. In practical part is analysed the economic indicator of the effectiveness of INFA Spread. Graphical analysis is further complemented by correlation analysis, ANOVA analysis and trend analysis by LOESS. Finally, the results are summarized, compared and discussed with developments in times of crisis in European countries.

Diploma thesis deals with the identification of factors influencing the economic value added of the non-alcoholic beverage producers in the Czech Republic. The main aim of the thesis is to propose suitable measures that will have a positive influence on the economic value added in the chosen sector. In order to meet the main objective, it was necessary to establish a sample of companies to identify the external factors affecting the producers of non-alcoholic beverages and to deter- mine selected factors of financial analysis including economic value added. Afterwards, according to the determined methods the key factors influencing the economic value added were identified.

The theme of the thesis is to compare the accounting and economic value added. The theoretical part describes the value added and its determinants. It is defined as economic value added. The first is the basic formula for calculating the economic value added, and the identification of variables that are needed to calculate. The most important variable is the weighted average cost of capital. The next section is defined by other methods which can calculate EVA. The practical section provides the necessary methods and procedures for calculating the financial and economic value added. Methods chosen for the calculation were: the CAPM method, Modular method and Benchmarking diagnostic system of financial indicators INFA.

Práce se zabývá aplikací Balanced Scorecard (BSC) jako nástroje řízení strategie společnosti Formy Tachov, s.r.o., divize Opravna. Nejprve je provedena analýza úspěšnosti stávající strategie společnosti pomocí analýzy ekonomické výkonnosti společnosti jako celku i jejích divizí. Dále je provedena analýza tvorba hodnoty pro vlastníky společnosti pomocí nástroje INFA. Dále je v práci navržena nová strategie společnosti i jejích divizí. Strategie společnosti je říená pomocí systémového vyladění divizí se strategií společnosti na celoorganizační úrovni. Pro řízení strategií je navržen systém BSC cílů a indikátorů, dále jsou navrženy BSC stratgické mapy společnosti jako celku i jejích divizí.

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou strategického měření výkonnosti podniků. Konkrétně je zacílena na měření výkonnosti potravinářské firmy působící na trhu výroby a prodeje surovin pro pekaře, cukráře a gastronomii. Řeší především důležitost sledování výkonnosti podniku, ukazuje možné moderní koncepty měření výkonnosti, zabývá se metrikami a odhaluje podstatu multidimenzionálního přístupu. Za pomoci získaných teoretických znalostí je následně vytvořen model metrik potravinářské firmy. Pro ověření možností sledovat vybrané metriky vytvořeného modelu je použit nástroj Microsoft Analysis Services, který je jedním z typických představitelů systémů Business Intelligence. Diplomová práce má dva hlavní výstupy. Prvním je model metrik potravinářské firmy ve formě strategické mapy, druhým jsou grafické reporty sledující vybrané metriky v nástroji MS Excel.

Diploma thesis evaluates the performance of the chosen company for through modern EVA. Another important goal of this work is on-throw appropriate measu-res to help improve the current position of JIMI CZ, a.s. and Security Technologies s.r.o. Financial stability is evaluated based on financial analysis and it was already mentioned, modern EVA. The modular method INFA quantification members are capital costs that are an integral part of other calculations. The work is divided into two basic parts to a literature review and a practical part where the calculations are presented, suggestions and recommendations that should lead to an improvement of the current situation in the company itself and increase economic value added.

The main objective of this thesis is to assess the financial health of the selected company to use various methods of financial analysis, which will be chosen on the basis of theoretical knowledge. In the practical part are theoretical solutions applied to specific data from the financial statements of the company and selected results are presented in tabular and graphical form using a spreadsheet. At the end of the thesis the financial situation of the company resulting from specific data is interpreted in context and procedures and measures for its improvement potential weaknesses or exploiting possible opportunities are designed.

The goal of this Masters Thesis is to analyse economic value added generated by non-financial companies listed on Prague stock exchange. Main goal is not only to calculate the amount of economic value added, but also to compare results of two economic models used to specify Re (Minimal required return of companys own capital), necessary to calculate economic value added. Next goal is to analyze link between economic value added and stock price. Correlation between this two parameters would be a sign of possibility to predict future stock price in dependance on generated economic value added. For this Masters thesis, It is important to have all balance sheets, P/L statements and stock market data for all selected corporations. All these informations were exported from database Thomson Reuters Eikon available on University of economics in Prague.

Diploma work deals with performance of company in short-term and long-term. The goal is to introduce the term of company´s performance, methods of its measuring and ways how to improve firm´s results. It is used profitability ratios and its decompositions, other indicators of financial analysis, model INFA with emphasis to indicator spread, bancruptcy and banking models.
