Interaktivní elektronická kniha pro děti / Interactive e-book for Children

Pokorná, Gabriela Unknown Date (has links)
The practical part of my thesis - Interactive Electronic Book for Children – is the book titled The Story of a tree. The application contains the author's text, which tells the story about the old tree that lives its own life and also comes alive all around him. The text is completed by illustrations that are created by combining techniques (line drawing, watercolor, photography) and digitally edited. Some illustrations are animated, others require the interaction of the reader, to set in motion, a sound, etc. Each page contains sound or music.

Interaktivní elektronická kniha -tradiční médium v nové podobě / Interactive

Rybníčková, Andrea January 2011 (has links)
Interactive Electronic Books - Traditional Medium in a New Form Diploma thesis "Interactive Electronic Books - Traditional Medium in a New Form" deals with very current form of printed books. It's another step for an electronic book, which has distinct differences in the possible participation in the creation of such media. My thesis defines the terms of electronic books, digital books, and interactive electronic books. It briefly describes the history and development of the book into its interactive form. An important part of this work is the development and history of the Internet, which is inseparable from the development of electronic books. Thanks to the Internet electronic books are available to all users; the development in this area wouldn't be so fast without its existence. The main part of the thesis was a qualitative analysis (the method of depth interviews) which examines young people's interest in interactive electronic books and their opinion about its potential in the future. The main part of the depth interviews was an evaluation of different forms of various genres of electronic books and their possibilities. The conclusion is about the prognosis of interactive electronic books from various points of views.

Nike Retail Tour iBook : Interaktiv e-boksdesign med Apple iBooks Author / Nike Retail Tour iBook : Interactive e-book design with Apple iBooks Author

Eriksson, Christina January 2014 (has links)
This report describes the process of creating an interactive e-book with Apple’s program “iBooks Author”. The e-book, referenced here as Retail Tour iBook, is intended for use on Apple’s iPad. The Retail Tour iBook was created in service of River Cresco AB for their client Nike. The Retail Tour iBook is intended for use at recurring internal meetings at Nike Sweden, which are attended by international representatives from Nike and concern the retail situation of Nike in Stockholm. In addition to iBooks Author; Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Apple iMovie were used in the design process of the Retail Tour iBook. The result of this report is the end product, an interactive e-book, which was utilized for the first time by Nike Sweden in April 2014.

Příprava a publikování elektronických knih / E-book developing and publishing

Hanuš, Oldřich January 2013 (has links)
Current boom of e-reader and tablet markets brings wide range of innovations also to the e-books world. High performance devices, due to their degree of interactivity are now fully capable to work with more demanding applications including e-books,. This thesis is focused on e-books and their interactive elements including the process of analysis, implementation and final deployment. Based on practical experience with the development of a book for Unicorn College, author describes the whole process based on real life experience. An analysis and design of a methodology for managing e-book development is based on this experience. Thesis also includes an example of a business plan for a company producing e-books.

Co-design of Augmented Reality textbook for children's collaborative learning experience in primary schools

Alhumaidan, Haifa January 2017 (has links)
Augmented Reality (AR) is a recent technology that allows a seamless composition between virtual objects and the real world. This practice-based research uses the affordances of AR to design an AR textbook for collaborative learning experience. It identifies the key concepts of children s AR textbooks for the designing and evaluation of collaborative learning experiences. These concepts were used to develop a conceptual framework for the AR textbook that considers collaborative experience, learning and usability. Informed by these concepts, the research also has identified the design features which are unique to AR affordances which can be integrated in the school textbooks to develop a collaborative AR textbook for primary school children. The research follows a participatory design approach to involve the users of the AR textbook in the design process. The researcher has conducted three co-design studies involving primary school children and adults using cooperative inquiry techniques. The first study uses low-tech prototyping to find the overall direction of designing the AR textbook. After the development of the first AR textbook prototype, two formative evaluations have been conducted using cooperative inquiry critiquing, and layered elaboration techniques. Throughout these studies, a conceptual framework has been developed namely, Experience, Learn and Use (ELU) for the designing and evaluation of children s AR textbooks for collaborative learning experience. This framework is based on the adaption of Janet Read s Play, Learn, Use (PLU) model that defines children s relationships with the interactive technologies. The research proposes the ELU framework as a useful classification framework in the evaluation process, which informs the design features of the AR textbook which are related to the concepts of collaborative experience, learning and usability. The practical component of the thesis proposes a sample of an AR textbook that is integrated in the regular school curriculum. It demonstrates the design features which can be implemented in other textbooks to support collaborative learning experiences for primary school children. The documentation of the co-design process provides a practical framework for co-designing an AR textbook with children, as well as an evidence of using the ELU framework in practice. 4 This research also contributes in bridging the gap between AR and Child-Computer Interaction (CCI) communities, through the use of common CCI methods in the AR development. This research has resulted in key design principles which contribute original knowledge to the literature of the AR for children s education considering the CCI perspective. These important principles are informed by the collaborative experiences, learning and usability aspects that establish a framework for the design and evaluation of collaborative AR textbook for children. The eight identified principles by this research are, Joint Textbooks, Personalised AR Experience, Interactive AR Book, Communication-Based Learning, Rewarding AR feedback, Audio AR Textbook, Intuitive AR Markers, and Mutual AR Display. The research introduces the definition for each of the concepts and a demonstration of the related design features in the outcome of the AR textbook prototype.
