Batymetrie VD Němčice / The Bathymetry of Němčice reservoirPrchal, Jan January 2016 (has links)
Bathymetric measurements are important for mapping relief of current reservoirs and streams. Due to the lack of similar measurements in the Czech Republic is presented diploma thesis focused on the implementation of the first bathymetric survey on the water reservoir located on the basin Němčice - Sedlický stream. As a part of the work was done bathymetric data collection device River Surveyor M9 data processing interpolation procedures and evaluate the mutual comparison of estimation results. It was also evaluated the effect of the resolution to the retention volume of the tank and its sedimentations regime. Based on the evaluation of the measurement is based on a minimum average error method Universal Kriging. Processed data were measured during the year 2015. The result of the work can serve as a guide for subsequent measurements and estimates bathymetric data on a similar small reservoirs in the catchment areas of the Czech Republic.

Sedimentation in dams is a natural process depending on various factors over a period of time. Sediments influence both total capacity of dam's surface and also relief of bottom.
This thesis deals with amount of sediment in Fojtka dam and with change of its bottom's relief in past 109 years since its establishment. There was conducted measuring using an echosounder in a boat. Final output derived from this experiment was a point layer including 5500 point items. Subsequently there was executed a measurement of dam's shoreline using GPS device. Data were processed in ArcGIS software, then reduced and edited to be used for interpolation tools of ArcToolbox. In order to select the most accurate interpolation method, there were created validation data, which were compared with interpolated data. The best results have been achieved by interpolation method Kriging and TIN in resolution 0.5 m.
Original maps were vectorized for comparison with current condition. Created validation data were compared in order to show accuracy of particular interpolation. The most useful evaluated method for gained data was TIN method in resolution 0.5 m. TIN method was applied in both data sets for 2D and 3D bottom relief visualization and also for calculation of actual water volume and area of water surface of the dam.
Difference in bottom's relief of Fojtka dam showed capacity reduction about 6,7 % and reduction of water surface area about 3,2 %. Regular extracting of sediment in reservoir located above the dam causes this relatively small silting ratio.

This thesis deals with comparsion of digital terrain models from different
sources processed in GIS for hydrological purposes. The diploma thesis is
composed from several parts. First part sis consist of characteristics related to
watershed and water flow, which are important for the understanding this work. The
thesis also describes digitial terrain model, his creation and methods for obtainig
digitial models. Then, there are described data sources from which is possible to
gain digitial models. Next chapter is dedicated to the coordinate system. The last
parts of this thesis describes drain alghorithms.
Characteristic of this area was collected on experimental watershed Modrava II
with the ESRI ArcGIS Desktop software that would mainly Spatial Analyst and
ArcHydro extensions.
The results of this diploma thesis can be concluded that the free digital terrain
model SRTM 90 is not suitable for small regions with diverse terrain structure. Thereason is a small resolution model. Other terrain models provided free of chargé are
sufficient even for small areas as the selected area of interest. Paid digitial models
can al lbe established for the area of interest as appropriate.

In practice, yield curves, i.e. plots of relation between yields and times to maturity for a group of comparable securities, are an important tool for assets and liabilities pricing as well as for financial decision making. The theoretical risk-free yield curve represents the term structure of interest rates that are used e.g. in insurance industry for pricing the liabilities, for which reserves are created, or also as a benchmark for pricing other assets in the market. When constructing the yield curve, it is not possible to observe yields of a group of assets for all maturities. That is why we use various mathematical methods which enable us to construct the yield curve also for unobserved maturities. In this thesis, some of these methods are introduced. The Svensson's method is one of the most important and frequently used ones. We use this method to derive the coupon curve from Czech government bonds aiming to construct the risk-free zero coupon yield curve. Later on, we use different weights for particular bonds trying to improve pricing of all the bonds based on the derived curve. Then, we also look for the curve that minimizes the mean squared error of estimated (compared to observed) prices. The thesis is focused on the analysis of the demoraphic indicators marriage and divorce rate in years 2000 to 2014. Then the analysis is focused on qualitative characteristics in connection with the problem.
The first half of the work explains the theoretical concepts and metodological part. The second part is then focused on the actual analysis of selected indicators and the analysis of the qualitative characteristics. The analysis shows that the nuptiality and divorce rate have declaining trend of development. In case of nuptiality the lowest values in Czech republic were recorded in 2013, most marriages were then concluded in 2000. The divorce rate recorded the highest decline in 2012, while the most marriages were divorced in 2004. Qualitative analysis shows that the persons who want to get married the most in the future are single persons. The most negative responses were recorded for persons widowed and divorced. The most common reason for marriage is starting a family and children.

This diploma thesis deals with image similarity based on colour. There are discussed necessary theoretical basis for better understanding of this topic. These basis are color models, that are implemented in work, principle of creating the histogram and its comparing. Next chapter deals with summary of recent progress in the field of image comparison and overview of several most used methods. Practical part introduces training image database, which gives results of success for each created method. These methods are separately described, including their principles and achieved results. In the very end of this work, user interface is described. This interface provides a transparent presentation of the results for the chosen method.
