The main focus of this thesis is gold as an investment option among commodity asset class. The goal is to present the facts that rate gold as an investing instrument and create recommendations for the standard 'middle-class' investors setting up their portfolio. The first chapter discusses the pillars determining the market value of gold, the pros and cons of investing into gold, and specific forms of how investments into gold can be done. The second chapter analyzes how gold is ranked in the awareness of ordinary people. It also describes the phases in the process of creating investment portfolio. In the last chapter, there is comparison of investment into gold versus other main commodities and how they compete.

This master thesis deals with the support of the Bavarian export, especially from the Land of Bavaria and various institutions. The theoretical part describes the usable forms of export opportunities and export promotion policies. In the next section I focus on the distribution of the Bavarian foreign direct investment by country, where they are heading, and vice versa from where the investment are flowing into Bavaria. The thesis particularly focuses on the cooperation of Bavaria and the Czech Republic in terms of mutual economic relations.

Dotýká se také trhů rizikového a rozvojového kapitálu v zemích střední a východní Evropy, které již nyní začínají nabývat na významnosti a to nejen v jednotlivých zemích, ale i v celé Evropě.

Diploma thesis analyses investment coming from People's Republic of China into Europe and targets of this investment. It addresses reactions of regional groups as well as individual European countries to Chinese investment activity and analyses impact of Chinese investment in Europe. The aim of this thesis is to provide comprehensive material covering current Chinese invesmtnet activity in Europe.

Investment projects of companies can be assessed by various methods. There are methods non-profit character, as well as static methods, dynamic methods and real option methods. The basic requirement for the method should include liquidity factor, time factor and the risk factor in the evaluation. Methods that do not respect these demands, we can consider the approximate methods. However, there are areas where these methods can not be simply used.             The main objectives of this thesis are the specifications of the problems of development of transport, especially railway transport in the Czech Republic and its comparison with neighboring countries and the characteristics and assessment methods to evaluate investments in transport, which are used for the assessment of transport projects in the Czech Republic.

Diploma thesis deals with analysis of investment posibilities in the Czech Republic. It is focused on Czech stock market and Czech bond market. The aim of this thesis is to make an appropriate choise for financial investment of the enterprise with regard to its investment strategy and present economic situation, paying regard to circumstances that currently exist on financial market.

This Master´s thesis deals with investing in buying a real estate in the various regional cities in the Czech Republic. It focuses primarily on the determination of the yield of these investments at a pre-defined parameters. There are also described and considered property, tax and legal aspects of investment options.

The thesis deals with the financing of the development investment in Elbee vehicle project Elbee Mobility s.r.o. For this purpose, the current situation of the company is analyzed. Based on these analyzes, a specific recommendation is then formulated on how to finance the investment.

The thesis focuses on comparison of different technological solutions for a new production hall in Gabon s.r.o. company. The thesis includes history of board production which is used in the company s production and analysis current production hall. The company produces furniture from the boards focusing on kitchens production. Part of the production relates to contracts with public institutions such as schools, kindergartens, and public offices. The company produces furniture for households as well.

Aim of this thesis is to evaluate impact of foreign direct investments on convergence/divergence of the Visegrad four to EU15. Theoretical part contains necessary knowledge to execute this evaluation and includes review of empirical research employed with impact of FDI on economic growth. In first part of empirical analysis beta-convergence model is used to discover convergence of observed countries during period 1995-2015. Estimation uses OLS regression. The results show successful convergence of V4 to EU15. Afterwards there is analysis of impact of FDI on economic growth for the same period. Four models with escalating difficulty were used to evaluate this impact by using panel data regression. Pooled OLS and fixed effects are methods used in this regression. In the last model, more EU transition countries are included to confirm one of investigated hypotheses. Results of this analysis show significant and positive impact of FDI on economic growth in EU transitive economies. Using only V4 countries, I did not find out this impact to be significant. At last, all results are evaluated and given to mutual context. Recommendations to economic policy makers are included as well.
