Com um layout eficiente é possível racionalizar os esforços para a agregação de valor aos produtos, através da diminuição de atividades que não contribuem para esta adição de valor. Exemplos destas atividades são o transporte de produtos em processamento, o fluxo de produção em contra corrente e os estoques intermediários. No sistema de produção Just in Time, o layout industrial, além de reduzir o número de atividades que não agregam valor, deve também possibilitar a flexibilização dos meios de produção e a integração da manufatura, atributos que podem implicar em vantagem competitiva em relação a empresas concorrentes, pois dotam a fábrica de uma grande velocidade de resposta frente as exigências do mercado. O uso do computador para o projeto do layout industrial deve-se ao fato de que por meio deste é possível sistematizar o processo de projeto, permitindo que as tomadas de decisão sejam feitas de acordo com regras claras e bem definidas, além de ser possível contar com extensas bases de dados. O modelo computacional desenvolvido neste trabalho visa superar alguns pontos fracos apresentados por softwares já existentes que se dedicam ao projeto do layout industrial, além de inserir este projeto no contexto do sistema Just in Time.

Para este fim, foi empregado o método do estudo de caso que possibilitou analisar em detalhes os controles sobre o processo produtivo, sobre o controle de qualidade, bem como o controle sobre as pessoas. Através de uma avaliação longitudinal, foram focalizados os momentos anterior e posterior à introdução do just-in-time na área operacional da Hering Têxtil S/A. Os resultados obtidos demonstram a ocorrência de uma série de alterações no sistema de controle organizacional, como a intensificação dos controles sobre o processo e sobre as pessoas, a modificação nos mecanismos de controle de qualidade e, por último, a diminuição dos níveis hierárquicos, paralelamente, ao aumento da amplitude de controle dos supervisores, no nível operacional.

ABSTRACT JUST NOT ENOUGH: REFRAMING JUST PEACE IN AN ERA OF PERSISTENT CONFLICT Derek M. Pottinger, ThM The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, 2016 Faculty Supervisor: Dr. Mark T. Coppenger Just peace is the proper end of an offensive just war. An ideally just peace is impossible must not be abandoned as a goal. This thesis argues peace is best viewed through a peace prism creating a six-level spectrum from war to ideally just peace. Levels 2 and 3 (marginally effective and substantially effective peace) do not qualify as jus post bella, while levels 4 and 5 (optimally effective and reasonably just peace) do because they address politics, economics, societal structure, international relations, and personal liberty postwar. Further the peace prism should be integrated into ad bellum decision-making as a precondition to meeting jus ad bellum criteria by using the maximum obtainable peace equation to estimate whether a just peace can be obtained at a reasonable expense in blood and treasure. Doing so will result in fewer decisions to go to war and a more ethically sound application of Just War Theory.

A abordagem é sistêmica, partindo da ênfase da necessidade de se elaborar uma estratégia bem fundamentada no conhecimento da indústria e do seu meio ambiente, passando pelo conhecimento do sistema Just In Time e seus principais objetivos, conceituando o custo real (valor agregado) e definindo os indicadores de produtividade e qualidade. Em seguida identificam-se os desperdícios da produção e apresentam-se as ferramentas do Just In Time para combate-los, dando uma atenção especial ao sistema kanban e ao sistema da qualidade. O estudo de caso na Ericsson Telecomunicações contribui para melhor compreender a implementação e eficácia do sistema JIT. / Abstract : This work studies the Just in Time (JIT) philosophy of manufacturing administration, focusing the productive process improvement - in terms of productivity and quality gains - as a strategy to support a company to reach competitive advantage in cost. The adopted approach is systemic, initiating by emphasizing the necessity of elaborating a strategy very well based, on the knowledge of the industry and its operational environment, continuing with the application of the Just fn Time principles and its main objectives, conceptualizing the real cost (aggregated value) and defining the productivity and quality indicators. Finally, the study identifies the production wastefulness and the Just in Time tools to defeat them, with special attention on the Kanban system and on the quality system. The topic of the diploma work is the use of modern methods in the management of stock. Stock represents very important part of the company's economy; its right level contributes to the increase of competitiveness of the company. The diploma work states the theoretical basis for management of stock and analyzes in detail the chosen methods -- kanban a Just-In-Sequence, which is often understood as a next step in implementation of the pull principle -- consumption manager inventory. The main aim of the work is the analysis of definition of the stock for the system of kanban and Just-In-Sequence and definition which effect have it's parts on the stock. According to a target of the work a hypothesis was defined. The right implementation of kanban, or Just-In-Sequence and incidence on it's parts contributes to a reduction of stock. The practical part of the work analyzes in detail the formulas of calculation of the stock in the system of kanban, it's factors are simulated and the level of stock examined. Accordingly, the comparison of the system of kanban and Just-In-Sequence is provided. In the end of the work the recommendations for implementation of kanban and Just-In-Sequence are made. Also the successfulness of the implementation of new methods in the defined company is evaluated and recommendations are prepared.
