This thesis deals with the fields of category management. Category management is a process that focuses on effective product management at the level of each category. Category management process consists of defining categories, determining the role of category, assignment strategy category, tactics and implementation. For process of category management is crucial correct identification of consumer and his needs. Consumer decision making is affected by external and internal factors. Internal factors include effects on the personality level, such as learning, perception and motivation. Among the external factors include decision-making based on perception of price, brand, merchandising, or packaging.

This diploma thesis concerns comparison of different categories regarding the offensive phase of the frisbee ultimate match. The theoretical part deals with the offensive play skills of the individuals, that are important for this phase of the game. It also concerns team skills and tactics essential for mastering the game at a high level. Marginal defense systems are mentioned as well. The research part deals with comparison of different offensive procedure, representation of offensive tactics, percentage success of the particular types of offensive play, all in the categories OPEN, WOMEN, MIXED. For the researcg, a video analysis from the 2015 European Championship of Nations was used. Name of thesis Flight equipment and its importance in efficiency categories of paragliding Abstract: The goals The goal of this thesis is to find out appropriate instruments and the dependence of their using on the performance category of pilot. Practical contribution of this thesis will be find out the most frequent usage of the instruments between pilots and how important they are for pilots. Methods The thesis is compiled in the form of quantitative research. For the collection of data we have chosen questionnaries, which were situated in a paragliding web. Results Detected facts represent that with increasing efficiency category, the count of respondents, for who instruments are important, is increased. The next fact represent, that with increasing efficiency category, the count of respondents, who have and use instruments, is increased. The most important instrument for all efficiency categories is variometr and then GPS. Key words Paragliding, instruments, efficiency category, importance.

The goal of this thesis is to define proces of creating the concept of category management and to apply the proces via existing assortment concept of certain retail company. The theoretical part covers basics of category management, merchandising and other related disciplines and its influence to creating concepts. Practical part includes detailed description of creating the concept, realized by retail company, selling Do it yourself products. Creation proces will start by anylysing current sutiation, following by determination of category strategy and objectives and implemetation of new concept.
