The theme of this thesis is the engineering design of the automaton for the ceramic moulds production for the shell casting technology. In the first part of the thesis I occupy with the design of the mechanical part of the machine including the kinematic, dynamic and strength calculations of the chosen engineering compositions and components. In the next part of the thesis I design the control part of the machine.

The purpose of this thesis is to assess the current state of production of ceramic shells in MESIT Foundry, a.s. and optimize it. The shells are evaluated in terms of their bending strength, gas permeability and microstructure. Subsequently, castings produced using the shells are evaluated with regard to number of non-conforming products and presence of defects. The final part seeks to compare different shells and outlines a possible new approach to the development of ceramic shells.

This diploma thesis deals with the choice of the most suitable composition of a ceramic shell mold for aluminum castings made by investment casting technology. The most suitable composition of the ceramic shells is chosen based on the results of the tests and from economic point of view. This thesis also deals with evaluation of the current conditions of the production of ceramic shells in Alucast, s.r.o and recommendations for stabilizing the process of manufacturing ceramic shell molds.

The main objective is firstly to find the optimal binding system (ceramic slurry) and stucco materials for the shell and secondly its optimal structure and heat treatment (drying of each coat and final shell firing) before metal pouring.

The practical part was focus on the proposing and creation of the tiles of the size 15 x 15 cm. 120 pieces were created for risers and 15 lateral tiles for the contiguous wall. The written theoretical part is mainly focused on the clarification of motivational sources which influence the process of this topic, the projecting of the staircase, and we can also find there the description of the technological procedures of the creation of the tiles with the account of used material.

The practical part portrays dance in a set of five figures of dancers created using the method of ceramic sculpture made of ceramic clay. The figures of dancers are chosen as representatives of five various dances that stand for the historical era and the continent where they originated. The theoretical part follows the set of sculptures with information about historical and local contexts of the individual dances as well as stylizations of each dancer and the working methods used.

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá výrobou ultratenkých keramických dutých vláken pomocí metody povlakování namáčením. Příprava keramických dutých vláken je v současnosti limitována rozměrem vnějšího a vnitřního průměru. Aplikace metody povlakování namáčením pro přípravu ultratenkých dutých je nový a technologicky náročný proces vyžadující volbu vhodné šablony a zároveň zvládnutí kontroly parametrů povlakování. Základními zvolenými materiály s vysokým aplikačním potenciálem jsou hydroxyapatit a oxid titaničitý. Samonosná dutá vlákna s tloušťkou stěny pod 1 m byla úspěšně připravena z obou materiálů. Dále byl také popsán proces povlakování namáčením obětovaných šablon. Tato metoda je unikátní, protože umožňuje produkci ultratenkých keramických dutých vláken s vnitřním průměrem pod 100 m a tloušťkou stěny pod 1 m.

The master's thesis is dedicated to the development of thermally insulating fittings for brick construction with integrated thermal insulation. In the theoretical part of the thesis are summarized legislative regulations for building construction, the technical requirements for insulation and ceramic products. Furthermore is here described the production of ceramics and technology of filling the ceramic fittings with interated insulation. The practical part of the thesis deals with new possibilities of filling the bulk ceramic fittings with thermal insulating materials based on polyurethane foams in order to improve their thermal insulation and mechanical properties. In the conclusion of this master thesis is an overall evaluation of taken measurements, the filling technology and comparison of new fittings with the current market and their potential use.

This diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of optimization of ceramic shell molds in the method of investment casting. In the first part is mentioned a complete technological process of the method with focusing on production and quality control of the ceramic shell and components, from which it is produced. The experimental part is divided into two parts, in the first are results of laboratory tests, which were tested both the current ceramic shell and shells which have been considered as a possible replacement. In the second section were verified conclusions of the experimental findings and recommendations of the laboratory results in pilot plant conditions.
