Kováč, Petr January 2008 (has links)
The dissertation is concerned with the description and utilization of interference of two coherent optical rays. In addition, the conditions of coherence and its connections with the occurance of interference are discussed. Michelson's interferometer is used for the practical utilization of the interference effect. The possibility of measuring relatively small changes is demonstrated - deviation of piezocrystal, measurement of the coherent length of optical source and measurement of the index of refraction of tramsparent materials. The manner of optical coherent detention and its utilization in optical communication systems is indicated. After demonstration of the principle was carried out the measuring of detection of optical signal modified by the external modulator.

Klinická efektivita Schultzova autogenního tréninku na elektrickou aktivitu mozku / Clinical Effectiveness of the Schultz Autogenic Training on the Electrical Activity of the Brain

Andová, Veronika January 2016 (has links)
Title of thesis: Clinical Effectiveness of the Schultz Autogenic Training on the Electrical Activity of the Brain Objectives: The thesis aims to analyze the impact of Schultz autogenic training on brain activity evaluated using EEG Course of action: To obtain the data, an experimental group containing 11 participants aged 20-30, disregarding gender, was created. Participants practiced Schultz autogenic training using the identical audio record once a day during the course of nine weeks. Upon completion of the training, all participants were subjected to one-off measurement by the Nicolet EEG instrument. Brain activity was measured before, during and after the training. Obtained EEG data were processed with NeuroGuide software using coherence analysis and fast Fourier transform. Coherence analysis provided charts mapping the electrical activity of Brodmann areas during the course of all three stages and fast Fourier transform yielded data of performance ratio between theta and alpha frequencies, so called T/A index. Performance ratio of the T/A index was subject to Student's paired t-test in order to draw final conclusion. T/A results show changes in the representation of alpha and theta waves during all measurements. Results: The results of the thesis were used to verify the veracity of stated...

Analýza principů překladových technik využívaných online překladači a jejich porovnání s překladem klasickým / The analysis of the techniques used by online translators in comparison with the traditional form of translation

Herejk, Martin January 2019 (has links)
The pivotal intention of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive and detailed comparison of the contemporary machine translation and the traditional translation performed by a person. The theoretical part contains two segments which are essential towards establishing the background for the thesis. Firstly, a brief historical context is presented to illustrate how and why the concept of machine translation came to exist. Its relevance, utilization and basic technological principles are presented within the confines of the technology currently available. Secondly, an overview of specific language elements which commonly present an obstacle for translators, be it those possessing human or artificial intelligence, is elaborated and briefly commented upon. The practical part contains a selected body of text which is then translated, firstly by using a specific software and secondly by the author of the thesis. These translations are compared with regard to their accuracy, with references made to the mechanics of machine translation and the source code employed to perform the translation itself, effectively combining linguistic point of view with the technological aspect of the algorithm applied in the translation software. The final part contains a conclusion and summary of obtained results and...

Koherencí řízená holografická mikroskopie v opticky rozptylujících prostředích / COHERENCE-CONTROLLED HOLOGRAPHIC MICROSCOPY IN DIFFUSE MEDIA

Lošťák, Martin January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with imaging through diffuse media in coherence-controlled holographic microscope (CCHM) developed in IPE FME BUT. The mutual coherence function as well as the signal dependence on the lateral mutual shift between both arms of the CCHM are calculated. Both functions are related to each other. The latter dependence is measured experimentally. A principle of imaging with CCHM through diffuse media with both ballistic and diffuse light is explained by a simple geometrical model. This model is then verified experimentally by imaging a sample through diffuse medium. The point spread function (PSF) of CCHM for imaging through diffuse media is then calculated. Results of PSF calculation are proved experimentally.

Dopad vysokofrekvenčního obchodování na volatilitu cen / The Impact of High Frequency Trading on Price Volatility

Vondřička, Jakub January 2014 (has links)
This thesis examines an impact of high frequency trading on equity market qualities. As an indicator of market quality, stock prices realized volatility is used. To estimate the high frequency trading activity, we implement a special method of identification of high frequency orders from quote data. Study of relation between high frequency trading and market qualities is incited by growing concerns about the welfare impacts of high frequency trading and connected activities. In order to test the dependence and causality between high frequency trading activity and volatility, we implement time-scale estimation techniques. Wavelet coherence is used to study localized dependence. The analysis is amended by a robustness check, using wavelet correlation. Results show inconsistent dependence at short trading horizons and regions of significant continuous dependence at trading horizons within hours. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Trendy v koherenci české migrační a rozvojové politiky / Trends in Czech migration and development policy coherence

Seidlová, Aneta January 2019 (has links)
Migration and development are a globally recurring topic within media and political discourse. In Europe, the topic gained attention following the so called "refugee crisis", accompanied by rhetoric of solving the root causes of migration and increasing coherence of migration and development policy. Even though the refugee flows mainly avoided Czechia, the crisis had an impact on public and political discourse, including links to migration, development and the need for coherence in policy strategic documents. The diploma thesis analyses trends in Czech migration and development policy and their coherence in the aftermath of global financial and refugee crisis. This thesis aims to assess the progress toward coherence and identify the key areas and causes of incoherence. The concept of policy coherence for migration and development, and a model of policy coherence cycle are used as the main theoretical frameworks. To gain an insight into the process of policy formation, a distinction is made between political commitments and policies on paper, policy coordination and implementation in practice, and the potential impact of the political discourse on this process. This thesis presents attitudes and perceptions of key stakeholders in Czech migration and development policy, based on a series of 20...

Rétorické vztahy v odborném textu: anglicko-česká kontrastivní studie / Rhetorical relations in academic texts: contrastive study of English and Czech

Jansová, Cecílie January 2017 (has links)
The present work describes coherence structure of English and Czech book introductions. The account of coherence is based on Rhetorical Structure Theory (Mann and Thompson, 1988; Mann and Taboada, 2006) which posits that majority of texts have one main effect which can be described by one of their inventory of thirty-two rhetorical relations; other relations are organized in a hierarchical structure and contribute to the main effect. Out of thirty monographs compiled for each language, four book introductions were chosen to represent the English language and four to represent the Czech language. The data were annotated in terms of rhetorical structure. The qualitative analysis showed that the genre of book introduction does not differ across languages as all texts were described by the same top-level relations; the only difference concerns the position of the goal of the monograph. The queantitative analysis showed that the difference on lower levels concerns the presentation of past research: Czech focused more on presenting elements of subject-matter. Key words: coherence, rhetorical relations, Rhetorical Structure Theory, book introductions, English, Czech, monographs, genre

Automatizace metody měření povrchových struktur reflexním digitálním holografickým mikroskopem. / Automatization of method of surface structure measurement by means of reflection mode digital holographic microscope.

Vacula, Daniel January 2010 (has links)
Reflected-light digital holographic microscope developed at IPE FME BUT uses off-axis holography principle and low spatial and temporal coherence illumination. Microscope allows reconstruction of the image amplitude and the image phase, which can be handled in real time. The only limiting factors are imaging speed of the detector and computer performance when processing holograms. Reconstruction of image phase and amplitude allows high-resolution profilometric measurements in the vertical axis direction. This thesis deals with the automatization of profilometric measurement method proposed in [2]. Proposed method uses the combination of the image phase and the image amplitude for the measurement of specimens with surface structure the vertical size of which cause the uncertainty of the image phase by a factor of 2pí. Futher the thesis deals with the construction design of the illumination system of the microscope and its realization together with experimental verification of functionality of proposed method automatization.
