Zcizovací efekty v inscenacích Divadla Komedie / Distancing effects in productions of Komedie Theatre

Havelková, Pavla January 2013 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to analyze distancing effects in productions of the Komedie Theatre. As a subject of analysis I only chose such plays of the Komedie Theatre that I consider highly representative in their usage of distancing effects and principles, reason of which is the chosen analytical method is relatively detailed and the extent of the thesis is limited. The plays chosen are Kanibalové, Kvartet and Sportštyk. I separately analyzed each drama, then I analyzed its production. Each play is addressed in a separate chapter. In these chapters I focused especially on the possibilities of using distancing effects that are hinted at in the text by the author. In the chapters dedicated to production I analyzed the way how the directors worked with distancing effects utilized by the authors and how they developed and enriched them. The objective of my analysis was to identify the distancing effects used in plays of the Comedy Theatre and also to define their role in context of the overall poetry of the Komedie Theatre.

Sovětská filmová komedie konce 60. a 70. let / Soviet Film Comedy of the Late 60's and the 70's

Něudačina, Natalija January 2019 (has links)
The subject of this thesis is a genre analysis of Soviet film comedies of the late 60s and the 70s that is based on the reception and production history data. The aim of this research is to grasp this type of comedy as a specific political and socially-cultural phenomenon of the Eastern bloc and its relation to Soviet popular culture. A methodology of the genre analysis will derive from Rick Altman's semantic-syntactic approach, which will allow us to describe the chosen genre group as a complex genre trend set in the unique social, cultural, economic and in this particular case also ideological context, to follow the development and fluidity of the genre trend, as well as to find and to compare mutual attributes of the chosen films. The analysis will not be based solely on the group of the most watched films, but also on the production data focusing mostly on the films' budget, as well as dramaturgic supervision and censorship. Another part of the diploma thesis will be based on the gathered reception data such as contemporary media response and viewer ratings, focusing on the important role that Soviet film comedies played in the period and partially continue to play in the present-day Russian popular culture. Fusion of all analytic parts shall bring us to the basic definition of the Soviet film...

Smrčková, Tereza January 2012 (has links)
This paper focuses on the translation of audiovisual humour. I have analysed Petr Palouš's translation of Monty Python's Flying Circus. The translator of audiovisual humour has to deal with the same issues and problems as the translator of literature, that is he has to find equivalents to word plays, idioms, register and so on, but at the same time he also has to comply with the restrictions of audiovisual medium. I have identified the most common translation problems when translating humour and audiovisual texts and possible strategies of their translation into the target language, and then analysed how Palouš dealt with these cruces translatorum when translating the Flying Circus.

In this thesis I dealt with commonly accepted theory, that Czech author Emil Arthur Longen wrote his plays in style similar to film slapstick comedy. The work starts with biography of Emil Arthur Longen. He was born in 1885 and died in 1936, his life was filled with many rises and falls because of his short temper, alcoholism and turbulent relation with his first wife, Polyxena (commonly called Xena), also an actress. Longen started as a student of Arts in Prague, but never ended his studies and left to pursue his interest, first in painting, later in another fields like filmmaking and acting, but he is most known as a playwright.
