Spoplatnenie cestnej dopravy v Londýne / Charging for road transport in London

Koscelník, Štefan January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this work is to describe and evaluate the project of road charging in London. The theoretical part deals the issue of transport in urban conditions, its basic types, problems and possible approaches to tackling it. It also includes a description of the electronic toll systems as tools used to manage traffic in the city. The practical part deals with the use of video detection technology for road charging in London. It includes the preparation and implementation of the project, its basic principles of operation and adjustments made during the period of its operation. Followed by evaluation of the project in terms of impact on traffic, business and air quality in London. At the end of the work there are some recommendations for possible implementation of a similar charging system in terms of the city of Prague.

Faktory regionálního růstu a rozvoje (se zaměřením na silniční dopravu) / Factors of regional growth and development (with focus on road transport)

ALINA, Jiří January 2011 (has links)
ALINA, Jiří. Factors of regional growth and development (with focus on road transport). České Budějovice, 2011. 141 pgs. Faculty of Economics. University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. Thesis supervisor: doc. Ing. Ivana Faltová Leitmanová, CSc. This dissertational thesis deals with traffic congestion and its effects on growth and region development. The main objective of the thesis was to quantify negative effects and impacts on traffic systems in relation to region growth and development, where the traffic congestions interested in the first class roads. First, the author focused on the analysis of the traffic congestion, as the factor which is influencing regional growth and development. Further the value of travel time and calculation methods of the traffic congestion cost were researched. The calculation region was the South Bohemian Region and its first class roads. Subsequently, there were summarized factors characterizing the South Bohemian Region from the road transport view. In the last chapter, the traffic congestion cost was calculated for the South Bohemian region.

Zavedení mýtného v Praze z pohledu zájmových skupin / Introduction of tolls in Prague from viewpoint interest groups

Hubená, Martina January 2011 (has links)
This thesis examines the possibility of enforcing a toll in Prague's central region, which has long been struggling with congestion. The central objective was to determine how interest groups affect the problem of introducing tolls in the area of Prague. Interest groups underwent an analysis at whose beginning they were identified and searched out. A determination of its benefits and costs followed to rovide a more detailed assessment establishing the motivation and the influence that various interest groups may have. In this thesis, a relatively strong interest group from the corporate sector was identified, which would be significantly affected by the toll -- the providers of courier services. Experts anticipate an assumption of negative attitudes by this group to the introduction of tolls, which is also confirmed in the/an interview with the stakeholders.

Dopravní průzkumy a návrh opatření - Lipůvka / Traffic surveys and design of measures - Lipůvka

Londin, Filip January 2022 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on traffic research and observing data about traffic situation on the I/43 Lipuvka Road and the I/43 x II/379 (Blansko) and I/43 x II/379 (Drasov) crossroads. This thesis aims to analyse current situation, find out about time delays, secondary advantages and downsides. It also aims to expertly assess cost estimate and propose a possible solution.

Externality v dopravě a možnosti jejich řešení / Transport Externalities and Their Solution Possibilities

NEUMANNOVÁ, Veronika January 2012 (has links)
The main aim of my theses entitled Transport Externalities and Their Solution Possibilities was to define transport externalities and to describe the methods of calculating the external costs. My goal in the analysis part was to evaluate the effectiveness of existing measures leading to reduce the height of external costs and to suggest further idea of externalities solutions. Transport activities give rise to environmental impacts (air pollution), accidents and congestions.

City logistika v Paríži / City logistics in Paris

Škopová, Anna January 2011 (has links)
Diploma thesis indicates on traffic problems that arise not only in the huge world metropolis but increasingly appeal in smaller towns. They cause not only time and money losses but also irreversible environmental damages. This issue represents a big challenge not only for cities, transport companies, logistics service providers but also for each human being in the world. The thesis focuses on the utilization of a relatively new concept called city logistics, which should be the key for improvement of traffic situation in the cities through a higher level of transport organization and its management, cooperation between the parties and the search of new forms of transport, which don't support just the economic part of certain territory, but also brings sustainable development of transport in the future. While some cities try to become familiar only in theory, others have already obtained positive effects of its implementation. To those progressive cities belongs as well Paris to which I paid attention in diploma thesis.

Zvýšení propustnosti úzkých hrdel způsobených dopravním omezením / Increase transportation capacity of bottleneck caused by traffic restriction

Matuszková, Radka January 2013 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the behaviour of traffic stream at work zones. It focuses primarily on alternating arranging just before funnelling of the traffic and creation of congestions. The study of parameters defined in the Aimsun program, that examines their effect on alternating arranging in micro-simulation, is a part of the thesis. The right setting of values is verified on traffic model formulated on the basis of video recording. The work aims to minimize effects of necessary repairs and reconstructions of roads by the telematic applications which dynamically affect the traffic stream by changing the maximum speed.
