Účinky psilocybinu na konsolidaci paměti u potkana / The effect of psilocybin on memory consolidation in rats

Chona, Kembe January 2022 (has links)
Psychedelics are currently being researched due to their long-lasting antidepressant, anxiolytic and neuroplasticity inducing actions. The mechanism by which they induce these effects remains poorly understood. Here, we decided to investigate a relatively unexplored possibility. A potential interaction of psilocybin administration and sleep and their combined effects on memory consolidation. Memory formation in animals and humans is greatly influenced by sleep manipulation which led us to assess the possibility with spatial memory tasks. We hypothesized that acute psilocybin administration after learning may have a beneficial influence on memory consolidation in rats. To determine whether an interaction with sleep exists we also subjected the rats to combinations of psilocybin and control vehicle with normal sleep and sleep deprivation. Our data did not suggest such an interaction exists. Secondly, we tried to find out if psilocybin and sleep manipulation leads to changes in neuroplasticity-related events. A process that could very likely be the basis of such a proposed beneficial effect. For this purpose, we analysed the expression of the immediate-early gene Arc and the immature neuron marker doublecortin in the rat hippocampus. Doublecortin's expression was not influenced by any of the factors....

Analýza vlivu integrace a konsolidace na burzovní trhy / Analysis of impact of integration and consolidation on stock exchanges

Žilák, Pavel January 2009 (has links)
Last three decades stock exchanges have been developing and growing rapidly. The first objective of this thesis is to provide a wider public a comprehensive overview on integration and consolidation of transatlantic stock exchanges and their consequences in the form of various types of stock mergers, acquisitions and cooperations. The thesis is primarily devoted to analysis of the impact of both trends and their implications for stock exchanges world and the second objective is to attempt a empirical analysis of the effects of ongoing integration and consolidation of the transatlantic stock markets. The first chapter deals with past and current changes in the transatlantic stock markets and continues to look theoretically at detailed integration and consolidation trends, their definition, assumptions, reasons, importance, benefits, obstacles and risks, approaches and scenarios. I clarified both trends not only in general theoretical level, but also took into account the practical aspects and differences of the continental and Anglo-Saxon stock market trends and contemporary trends in both transatlantic stock market. In the second chapter is devoted attention to manifestations of both current trends in transatlantic markets in the form of models and forms of cooperation stock exchange. After a theoretical introduction to the cooperation and competition, stock markets, I mentioned the origins and history of cooperation stock markets, with particular emphasis on real models and forms of stock markets in Europe and the USA. In the next sub-chapter I try to analyze the realized and unrealized exchange and cooperation projects of the multilateral trading system on the market in the last decade. Finally, the second chapter deals with past, present and future architecture of the integrated and consolidated transatlantic stock market. The third chapter is the key part of all thesis where I tried to come up with a comprehensive empirical analysis of the effects of stock exchange mergers and alliances, and to investigate the effects of two major transatlantic stock markets, NYSE Euronext and Nasdaq OMX through selected market indicators, financial ratios and data from financial statements, as well as exchanges' architectures, analysis of cross-border trading costs and further explore the significance of the interdependence of markets before and after their cooperation which was tested on movement of particular daily returns of indices and traded volumes. The testing is based on the law of one price, which can be interpreted in a way that in an efficient market all identical goods must have only one price. The tested interdependence is examined by using statistical tools: correlation and time series analysis.

Účetní operace v konsolidačním celku / Accounting operations in a holding group

ŠVARCOVÁ, Michaela January 2018 (has links)
This master thesis is focused on accounting operations in a group according to Czech and international accounting legislation and on how to report individual elements in consolidated financial statements. It also includes explanation of terms in the field of consolidated financial statements such as consolidation methods, parent entity, subsidiary, and intercorporate transactions in a group according to Czech and international legislation. These theoretical concepts are applied on an existing group which is a group consisting of a parent entity and three subsidiaries and its consolidated financial statements in an accounting period from 1st January 2016 to 31st December 2016. Operations among the parent entity and the subsidiaries and their effect on consolidated financial statements are also described. Therefor this thesis includes a draft of consolidation rules and examples of other transactions which may occur among a group and their effect on consolidated financial statements but did not occur in an examined group. Results of this thesis summarize reasons and methods of consolidation in an examined group, transactions which may have an impact on consolidated financial statements and how these transactions originate. Examined parent entity does not create any consolidation rules, it neither has any methodology of identifying operations with an impact on consolidated financial statements. The parent entity does not inform users of the consolidated financial statements about identifying operations among the group, the reasons of their existence and the reasons of their elimination in consolidated financial statements. However, the parent entity prepares and presents the consolidated financial statements according to valid legislation. Based on gained information, the parent entity prepares the consolidated financial statements only for the legislative purposes, it has no use for the parent entity itself, neither for the subsidiaries.
