Optimization of Polymer Distribution to European Market / Optimalizace distribuce polymerů na evropský trhLűckert, Andreas January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this master's thesis is to combine academic knowledge with a real business world situation. Main goal of the thesis is to analyze the possibility of developing a distribution channel in Europe rather than selling on CFR basis. The theoretical part will define the main terms and conditions of the container logistics in the 21st century along with the specifications of the European market. This will set up a more stable ground for understanding the whole polymer distribution process. In the practical part, Tricon Energy will be introduced and its current distribution to Europe strategy analyzed. Based on the polymer market situation in Europe and findings from the theoretical part, an optimization of the supply chain process can begin. The optimization will start with the purchase side, followed by the transportation and warehousing to the sales side. In the last chapter, three complex scenarios of the new distribution strategy will be presented and compared as the outcome of this master's thesis.

Námořní bezpečnost Spojených států amerických: aplikované strategie a opatření / U. S. Maritime Security - Strategies and Measures AppliedHerout, Jakub January 2017 (has links)
National security of the United States of America is dependent on secure use of the world's oceans. U. S. security interests are bound to international trade which is carried out primarily by ships (80 percent of world trade by volume of which 20 percent is bound to U. S. maritime trade). Vastness of maritime domain brings about many security issues which threaten interests of the United States. Terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon on 9/11 caused rapid intensification of security measures. These measures have been implemented to deal with maritime related threats such as terrorism, piracy, drug smuggling, human trafficking, arms trade, computer criminality or natural disasters. This work proceeds from widened concept of security pioneered by authors representing the Copenhagen school.

Modulární kontejnerová stavba / Container based modular buildingJurča, Radim January 2015 (has links)
Diploma thesis deals with creating the concept of container based modular building. The process of building is made by connecting module. Three block modules were designed. They could be created up to nine combinations (Up to nine combination might be created up by these). The modules are designed as a diffuse open wooden building with a warm flat roof. Family house is one of the possible combinations. Construction of building consists of two connected modules that are made like single-storey. Founded on earth screws. Under the construction is ventilated space. The building is situated on flat land (parcel) in Velké Němčice. The advantages of modular container buildings are good thermal properties, short time of construction and the possibility of connecting or disconnecting the modules.
