Preparace koster obratlovců / Vertebrate Skeletal Mounts

Poláchová, Tereza January 2017 (has links)
The topic of this thesis is dissection of vertebrate skeletons while using available and appropriate methods. The theoretical part is prepared based on Czech and foreign sources. For this part, there were used print publications, articles from journals and some Internet sources. It summarizes theoretical knowledge of the occurrence and anatomical structure of vertebrates. The practical part includes methodology involving collection, preservation and actual processing of animals. In detail, there are described possible methods of work that are evaluated and compared in the closing part. These proposed procedures are used for the selected representatives of vertebrates, in the individual chapter called - Results. The outcome of this thesis is a detailed guide with the procedures of chosen methods and preserved skeletons with a description of their characteristics. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Identifikace mrtvol a kostrových nálezů / Identification of cadavers and skeleton findings

Potůčková, Šárka January 2012 (has links)
1. Summary Identification of corpses and skeletal findings The topic of my graduation thesis is the identification of corpses and skeletal findings. In this work I have described methods which are currently being used for an individual identification of people, and I have also paid a special attention to methods that are regarded as predecessors of modern currently-used methods. In each chapter of my thesis, I described different kinds of methods and I have also attached some short cases, just to illustrate the real work of police forensic experts after location of the corpse or the skeleton. In the initial part of my work I have also attached the Glossary of Terms that explains some complicated technical terms. Although some of the methods which I have described in my work are used in many other branches, I have focused on the use of these methods in the forensic practice (criminal investigation) with the possible collaboration of experts in the identification work in mass accidents and disasters. Nowadays, one of the fastest growing and most accurate methods of the identification with the widest spectrum of applications is the DNA analysis method, so I decided to devote a substantial part of my work to this method. I have described her historical development, her practical use and how this method really...

Variabilita v počtu obratlů a evoluce velikosti těla gekonů / Variability in vertebrae numbers and the evolution of body size in geckos

Vohralík, Martin January 2016 (has links)
In ectothermic vertebrates, body segmentation is often linked to final body length. This thesis focuses on the realtionship between final body length, ecological (temperature) and genetic (sex) factors and the count of body vertebrae in the Paroedura geckos, closely focusing on the Paroedura picta species. Individuals of this species were exposed to three different constant rearing temperatures, where they achieved different final sizes. We tested the correlation between the number of presacral vertebrae and final body size and the effect of rearing temperature and sex on the vertebrae number. The data point to high genetic and enviromental canalisation of the vertebrae count. Large conservation in the number of presacral vertebae were found even across the genus Paroedura regardless of the considerable evolutionary changes in body size. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Tvorba trojrozměrných škokních pomůcek / Made of three dimensional teaching aids

Strnadová, Kristýna January 2013 (has links)
This work deals with vertebrates bone preparation of birds and mammals to enrich the science classes at secondary school. It also expands the collection of vertebrate skeletons at the department of biology and enviromental studies. The display would be enriched by Talpa europea, apodemus sylvaticus, rattus rattus, alectoris rufa and skulls of octodon degus. In this work there are described ways how to prepare taxidermy and bone preparation is described from the beginning of collecting vertebrates, then methods of preparation (maceration, hot water maceration, dermestidae bettles and more) including degreasing and bleaching and final treatment not the get it damaged by insect. This work is completed by survey. There are involved teachers of biology at elementary schools. The idea of questionnaire was to find out what's equipment like and how often do teachers use nature products to enrich the lessons. Key words - taxidermy, osteological preparation, birds, mammals

Nárvh ekologické sítě v katastrálním území obce Olešínky

Odehnalová, Marcela January 2014 (has links)
This work deals with the definition of biotope in the cadastral territory Olešínky. The cadastral area Olešínky habitats have been identified and determine the degree of ecological stability. After the establishment of habitats is divided to physiotypes. In these bio-types were determined by plants and animals species. Species were included to the habitats according their occurrence with observation. The observation was carried out during one year. The aim of the work was to identify existing major segments with a predominance of natural landscapes and natural communities with higher biodiversity. The next task was to design a bio-centers and corridors on this area. As a result, it was found according to the degree of ecological stability in the territory under study is 0.1% of the major sites, 33.9% partially major sites and 66% of minor sites.

Ontogenetický vývoj kostry končetin u žab / Development of the limb skeleton in the Anura

Kocábková, Martina January 2010 (has links)
Development of the limb skeleton in the Anura Bc. Martina Kocábková Abstract Although the morphology of frogs has been the subject of several studies, results of these are often incomplete and confusing. There are only several detailed studies of morphological variability in ontogeny of anuran limbs and even these results are difficult to compare. Therefore I have decided to map some of the diversity encountered in the ontogeny of these elements. This study is based on comparative study of ontogenetic series of nine anuran species which are representing the principal locomotor types. The results support that the basic developmental pattern was similar in all species. However there are some differences in details of ontogeny which are involved in the differentiation of carpus and tarsus.

KOSTRA som verktøy for styring av kommunene : en studie av 10 kommuner i Hedmark og Oppland

Halvorsen, Stein, Hauge, Frank Steinar January 2008 (has links)

The Norwegian public sector, in particular local Councils as the principal supplier of welfare services, face great challenges in the coming years. Expectations and demands upon public services are increasing in proportion with the increase in private wealth. Among the consequences are higher demands on the distribution of welfare services, and the need for a more effective use of resources.

Inspired by New Public Management theories, Norwegian local Councils have made considerable changes in management over the last 10-20 years. To meet the demands for increased activity, public sector has undergone a transition towards a less hierarchal organisational structure, their delegation to appropriate performance units has increased, and systems to monitor aims and results have been introduced. With respect to the latter, it has become crucial that data concerning resource utilisation and economy are made easily available and can be related to management issues.

In 2001 the national government introduced the so-called KOSTRA public reporting system (Kommune-ST-at-Rapportering) The overall aim of KOSTRA is to produce relevant, reliable, current and comparable management information. In addition, the KOSTRA reporting system will provide an improved database as an aid to service provision, as well as providing a foundation for improved Council management.

Our aim with this assignment has been to take a closer look at KOSTRA as a suitable tool for resource management within local Councils, and to see whether Councils do in fact use it actively in their own administrational priorities and activities. We have illustrated this by taking a closer look at possible connections between active use of KOSTRA and the Councils` economic situation, priorities and effectiveness.

We have found no grounds in our studies to indicate that there is any difference in the allocation of priorities between those local Councils using KOSTRA in management-related activities and those who do not. Projekt lokálního územního systému ekologické stability v katastru obce Třebenice

Nedomová, Martina January 2012 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to design a project of local territorial ecological stability system in the cadastral municipality Třebenice based on the framework of ecological stability. An important basis for the project development is my Bachelor thesis that deals with defining the framework of ecological stability. Part of the project is the draft measures for current elements of territorial system that are important to enhance their ecological stability. For the newly proposed compositional elements there are proposals of plantings elaborated as well as necessary after-care, estimated realization cost and the possibilities of obtaining state grant support. Implementation of this project would significantly increase representation of the green vegetation in the landscape of prevailing agrocenoses.
