Portfolio Construction Using Hierarchical Clustering / Portfolio Construction Using Hierarchical Clustering

Fučík, Vojtěch January 2017 (has links)

Bone is a living tissue that constantly remodels in order to functionally adapt to biomechanical constrains. Long bones diaphyses in particular have been subjected to various analyses notably because the application of beam engineering principles has rendered possible the evaluation of their resistance to various directional constrains based on their shape. Body mass estimation methods lie on this principle. Body mass is partially used since the nineties as a proxy to control the influence of body size on bone's architecture prior to interpreting variations between populations. More recently, they have been used to estimate physical status (i.e. emaciation, norm, obesity)....

Analýza změn územního systému ekologické stability komplexní pozemkovou úpravou

BÍCOVÁ, Markéta January 2018 (has links)
This thesis deals with the analysis of the TSES changes by the complex landed adjustment. First of all, the terms of the landscape and the landscape ecology are defined in the literary survey by available literature. The greatest focus of the landscape ecology is connected with its functions and and its structure. TSES is described as well. This thesis analyzes elements of TSES biocentres, biocorridors within the chapter. Furthermore, this thesis describes some functions of the greenery in the landscape. The last part of the survey describes TSES in the landed adjustment and the definition of the landed adjustment on its own. The description of the territory was formulated this way: the basic characteristics of the territory, the natural characteristics of the territory and so on. Another chapter comes with the detailed methodology of the thesis. The results and the discussion are the last and the most important part of the thesis. Every element of the TSES in interest territory is described in a state of the draft, as the part of the complex landed adjustment and nowadays. Maps in attachment are enclosed to the results.

Brno Komárov Město ve městě, prostorová a symbolická kostra Komárova / Brno-Komárov City In The City, space and symbolic structure of Komárov

Vochta, Miroslav January 2019 (has links)
Komárov is partially isolated city part with fragmented formally colourful structure and also a picture and character with high percentage of empty or degraded areas. Continuity on logistic knot, good transportation connection, planned and implemented squeeze out of major road and with that connected easing of current street net require new city planning of the whole area and therefore allows subsequent transformation of the area by way of overwritingand individualized intervention. This final thesis will be focused on examples of solving the substance of the city, by method of approaches and on stressing out the skeleton of public space with allocation of objects with symbolic structure. Content of this thesis City planning study of the area Komárov centre, stressing out of the symbolic skeleton and structure and the skeleton of public space with addition of related objects Architecture proposal of objects complementary to a structure and picture of area Program of new interventions and conversions of existing and preserved objects

Potrava vs. palivo: role bioenergie / Food vs. Fuel: The Role of Bioenergy

Filip, Ondřej January 2015 (has links)
This thesis studies the relationship between the first generation biofuels and selected commodities and assets in the USA, Europe, and Brazil. It is the first attempt to combine the taxonomy and wavelet analyses in a single research application. Our unique dataset comprises 32 weekly price series covering the 2003--2015 time period. First, we employ a method of minimum spanning trees and hierarchical trees to model a biofuel-related price network. We demonstrate a development phase shift between Brazilian and the US/EU biofuel industries. We reveal a strong and stable connection between Brazilian ethanol and its main production factor, local sugarcane. We further find that US ethanol is closely linked to corn. In the contrary, European biodiesel exhibits only moderate ties to its production factors. Subsequent wavelet analysis scrutinizes the identified price connections both in time and frequency domains. Both Brazilian and US ethanols are found to be positively related to their respective feedstock commodities. In particular, feedstock proves to lead the price of the biofuel and not vice versa. Moreover, the dynamics remains qualitatively unchanged when controlled for the influence of crude oil.

Analýza současného stavu, revize a testování nových postupů tvorby skladebných prvků ÚSES vybraných  katastrálních území Novohradska. / Analysis of current condition, revision and testing of new procedures during the formation of structural elements TSES selected cadastral areas Novohradsko.

SÍČOVÁ, Petra January 2010 (has links)
Territorial system of ecological stability is artificial, interlinked set of natural and altered similar to natural ecosystems that sustain the natural balance. In selected area Novohradsko was approved plan TSES already a decade ago. This study revises the area according to the standard method that is based on biological evaluation. During updating natural segment of area are being tested and used the new procedures, which include the functional aspects of the landscape. Specifically, they are based on physico-chemical evaluation. Data from the mapping of the defined area were processed and analyzed using GIS tools. The method of the functional aspects of landscapes can usefully complement the standard methodology with the objective identification of optimal functional and dysfunctional areas, which are an alternative to the segments of the skeleton of ecological stability.

Termomechanický model pneumatiky / Thermomechanical tire model

Vaníček, Jan January 2021 (has links)
This diploma thesis is about thermomechanics of passenger car tires. The research part dealing with existing tire models is followed by the practical part. The practical part is based on the designs of thermomechanical models. The first model determines a dependence of temperature on the air pressure inside a tire when a temperature changes. The second thermomechanical model captures all the heat fluxes which affect a tire while a vehicle is in motion. The third thermomechanical model calculates temperatures of parts of the tire during driving tests. All models are programmed in MATLAB.
