Krajina / LandscapeFuksová, Kristýna January 2013 (has links)
The theme chosen for the dissertation is based on the research which deals with the question how to transform a real perception into abstraction. In a free way, I am inspired by my abstract paintings created through all my master's degree study. For a long time, the subject matter of my paintings has been the blending of structure, light and landscape. By gradual simplyfication and penetration of scenery motives with arquitecture and living nature, I try to create a complex piece of work. This abstract composition exposes always with particular impression of landscape's mood. It also stylizes a question, what we are focusing on and where we are looking, while being fascinated by the scenery - when staring into space.

Architektura domova / Architecture of homeOčadlíková, Veronika January 2019 (has links)
The thesis is based on monitoring how one represents, creating an environment, how one completes it, or how the human environment is created. When we ask ourselves what our home means for us, we knew we could give it the shape of space. We could describe it as a place where we like to be. Some questions arise. If there is any idea of living at home, if it is as personal, how does each of us perceive home in his intimacy as well? How did it become the architecture itself? The goal of the work is to translate the understanding of the home through a specific situation. I choose a village in Slovakia, Čechynce, which has more than 1000 inhabitants. The architectural design itself does not adapt to the creation of a home as a house. He wants to point out that the home is not in an isolated system of walls, but in an ability of distence and in a chance to return again.

Život na samotě / Life in the isolationJankovichová, Ludmila Unknown Date (has links)
The answer to what Zaježová is, can be simple. Zaježová are so called „lazy“. Zaježová is perceived by the outside world - society - primarily as an alternative community of people living in coexistence with nature, and “Zaježová” presents itself “in this way”. Personally, I think that Zaježová is defined mainly by the strong individualities of people who are able to say about themselves and present that they live in a community. Last but not least, Zaježová is a place where I spent a large part of my childhood, because my parents belonged to these strong individuals and decided to live life “alone”. My work tries to capture what Zaježová is through various media, including architecture. The output is a set of atypical tourist maps and a proposal to transform the former fire station into a gallery.

Projektivní prostor / Projective spaceŠtuříková, Blanka Unknown Date (has links)
The design of the cemetery is based on the findings of the project Projective Space, which analyzes the memories of individuals of their spatial experiences that evoked emotions. Spatial collage as a method of creating an environment which, due to its ambiguity, allows individual interpretation by an individual person and evokes memories, is applied to the design of a cemetery for human composting. After the complete transformation of human remains into fertile land, the grave becomes useless. The dead lose their posthumous address. From a cultural point of view, however, the ritual of burial and the symbolic, mental value of the cemetery play an important role for the relatives in coping with the loss of their beloved. The design works with the culturally conditioned idea of the cemetery as an image of the world. With the disappearance of tombstones and urns, we abandon the concept of a cemetery - the city of the dead and reinterpret it as a cemetery - a landscape made of the dead. Remains in the form of fertile soil become material for modeling of the biodiverse terrain of the cultural landscape, a place that resonates with life.

Kopřivnice – neviditelné centrum města / Kopřivnice – invisible town centerJurková, Kristýna Unknown Date (has links)
Defining the town of Kopřivnice from point of view other than just as an industrial town became the starting point of my diploma thesis. When studying the history of the town, it became certain, that Kopřivnice is not made up by industrial areas and prefab estates, but a small stream hides in its DNA, which defined the origin of the town. A few historical layers were built on it, it is only right that other changes take place in its vicinity. Kopřivnička is characterized not only by the fact that it forms the green axe of the town, but also by the fact that in its surrounding there are mostly buildings intended for housing. Family houses and prefab houses alternate along its length. How should the housing look like, how can we determine the next stage of housing in Kopřivnice? That is the question, that fulfil the theme of my diploma thesis. We have got a creek and the green axe, which is not perceived by many residents, and we have an acute shortage of housing in the town. I am looking for answers to the question of whether it is possible to change the scale in the context of prefabricated houses, whether it is possible to live differently than everyone separeted in their own apartment. The answer seems to be a complex of community housing next to the former archbishop‘s manor. There is a change in the perception of the function of housing. The thesis tries to reflect the architecture in terms of the requirements of the population not only by gender or age, but also in terms of interests, hobbies and their personal needs. Each person is unique and needs a different space for themselves and in their surroundings. Can loners, workaholics, seniors, extroverts and large families live together to make everyone happy?

Krajina, místo prostor: případová studie Vraného nad Vltavou / Landscape, Place, Space: a case study of Vraný nad VltavouSequensová, Linda January 2022 (has links)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the suburban landscape, place and space of the Vrané nad Vltavou municipality located in close proximity to the capital city of Prague. The author approaches the suburban landscape as a specific type of landscape, which combines elements of urban and rural character. The author describes the manifestations of this landscape liminality using ethnographic methods and demonstrates the diversity of spatial structures with her own visual documentation, together with a depiction of the specificity of not only the researched landscape, but also the specificity of the suburb itself in the Czech context. Through the concept of the landscape applied in the socio-anthropological discourse, the author connects the material aspects of the natural environment with the social level of ideas, feelings, and experiences that everyone forms in contact with the landscape. In this sense, the landscape is never finished and neutral, but on the contrary, it is constantly negotiated and confirmed in the daily interactions of human and the landscape. The same holds true of the landscape, which is the subject of suburbanization processes changing its character. Therefore, on the one hand, the author depicts the character of the researched suburban landscape, on the other hand, she maps...
