Pomological evaluation of peach and nectarine varieties promising from commercial growing point of viewJababu, Nambe January 2014 (has links)
According FAO data, peach production in Czech Republic has been very low, for the past two decades averages production has been around 2000 tonnes; whilst consumption for the same period keeps growing; like in the case of most fruit. To be able to bridge the gap between production and consumption, and of course to also increase the income of the local producers, this research was carried out to evaluate some selected peach and nectarine cultivars on the Experimental Orchard (Lednice, south Moravia, Czech republic) of the Faculty of Horticulture of The Mendel University, in 2013, to select and recommend cultivars that will suit and boost productivity of the local growers in Czech Republic. 36 cultivars and 24 parameters were evaluated. Traits and parameters for evaluation were chosen according to the Peach Descriptors for Variability (Nitransky, Holubec, 1992). Evaluations, was done with 3fruits randomly selected from each cultivar. Statistical analysis was done with the software Statistica 12 with Tukey HSD test. 8 cultivars were recommended at the end of the experiment.

Dendroflóra zámeckého parku v Žinkovech. / Woody plants in the Žinkovy castle park (Plzeň region).REISEROVÁ, Alena January 2011 (has links)
This thesis deals with an inventory survey of tree species in the castle park in Žinkovy. The park was founded in 1896 - 1898 and is one of the best preserved castle parks on the southern Pilsen (Czech Republic). Since its inception the owners, management and appearance of the park have been changed several times. The inventory survey covers 81 tree species including their cultivar varieties. Furthermore the thesis compares the results with previous inventory surveys, and preserved documents and provides concept of new management measures. A list of the tree species and these comparisons are summarized in the appendix of the thesis.

Vliv diferenciace exodermis na lokalizaci příjmu živin v kořeni / Effect of exodermis differentiation on nutrient uptake localization in rootJanoušková, Jana January 2018 (has links)
Plants are able to cope with changing environmental conditions or withstand its adverse effects due to their plastic development. One way to adapt to fluctuating amounts of nutrients and water in the environment or the presence of toxic substances is to regulate the movement of substances between the plant and the environment. Beside other, this regulation is also possible at the level of the root system, by the formation of apoplastic barriers endodermis and exodermis. Some species posses endodermis only, in others exodermis in hypodrermal layers of the root can be found. These barriers differentiate in three stages and prevent free movement of coumpounds though apoplast. The transport to the symplast is the key point of regulating the uptake of substances into the plant and the endodermis is the fundamental structure. The presence of exodermis, however, affects the apoplast permeability of the surface root layers and can therefore influence the involvement of the primary cortex cells in the uptake of substances from the environment. In this work the impact of phosphate deficiency on the formation of apoplastic barriers was studied focusing on exodermis and the effect of its differentiation on the occurrence of membrane transporters and involvement of primary cortex cells in the uptake of...
