Design And Realization Of Mixed Element Broadband Bandpass Filters

In this thesis, a highly selective broadband hybrid bandpass filter operating between 0.4-2.0 GHz with a stopband up to 7 GHz is designed and analyzed. The realization is carried out by hybrid method, which combines both lumped and distributed element filters. In this approach, two separate filters, which are lumped highpass with 0.4 GHz corner frequency and distributed stripline lowpass with 2 GHz corner frequency, are combined to get the bandpass filter that has a passband in between 0.4 to 2.0 GHz. The usage of the lumped elements for the highpass filter resulted in a great size reduction compared to distributed element approach. The design software FILPRO&trade / is used to synthesize the trial filters. More than forty filters are synthesized, and among them, the ones that have better properties are chosen for further processes. Optimization, modeling and electromagnetic simulations of the selected lumped and distributed filters are carried out on the software GENESYS&trade / . Distributed filters are also simulated using the software SONNET&trade / . After the simulations, all of the simulated filters are realized and measured, and the level of consistency with the simulations is observed. According to the results of the measurements, the filter combination that has the best combination of low insertion loss, small dimensions, high stopband attenuation and low spur levels is selected for the final bandpass filter structure and a few variants are examined to get the final structure.

Western-style Painting in Pan-Asian Context: The Art and Historical Legacies of Kuroda Seiki, Li Shutong, and Go Hui-dong, 1889-1916

From the late nineteenth century, works inspired by Western art spread to China and Korea through Japan. Thus, Western art came to be accepted in China and Korea as a reinterpretation of Japan’s development of Western art, rather than a direct transmission from Western sources. This act of reinterpretation went on to have a lasting effect on the practice of Western-style painters in East Asia with their own acceptance modes. This thesis provides a study of self-portraits and nude paintings, two categories of painting without precedent in East Asia prior to the late nineteenth century, created by Kuroda Seiki, Li Shutong, Go Hui-dong, and Kim Gwan-ho in order to illustrate how East Asian countries established their own versions of modern art.

BRAUER-KURODA RELATIONS FOR HIGHER CLASS NUMBERS

<p>Arising from permutation representations of finite groups, Brauer-Kuroda relations are relations between Dedekind zeta functions of certain intermediate fields of a Galois extension of number fields. Let E be a totally real number field and let n ≥ 2 be an even integer. Taking s = 1 − n in the Brauer-Kuroda relations then gives a correspondence between orders of certain motivic and Galois cohomology groups. Following the works of Voevodsky and Wiles (cf. [33], [36]), we show that these relations give a direct relation on the motivic cohomology groups, allowing one to easily compute the higher class numbers, the orders of these motivic cohomology groups, of fields of high degree over Q from the corresponding values of its subfields. This simplifies the process by restricting the computations to those of fields of much smaller degree, which we are able to compute through Sage ([30]). Sekvenční a paralelní gramatiky: vlastnosti a aplikace / Sequential and Parallel Grammars: Properties and Applications

This thesis deals with the topic of sequential and parallel grammars. Both of these groups cover a large number of grammar families, most of which, however, are not widely used because of the difficulties related to their processing. The thesis examines some of these grammar types, such as scattered-context grammars, multigenerative systems, and interactive L-systems, with focus on their normal forms. Subsequently, it introduces a set of algorithms utilising properties of the discussed grammar types as well as their normal forms. These algorithms are based on the Cocke-Younger-Kasami algorithm for context-free grammars, and are capable of parsing any grammar in the corresponding normal form. Finally, a program implementing the proposed algorithms is presented.
