The survey and interpretation of economic data showed that the cities have different rates of economic development and many of them lack of urban infrastructure. In other words, while some cities have economic sectors highly diversified and representative, others, in contrast, require greater economic dynamism. To come to these results, the methodology used was based on bibliographical/theoretical studies about the concept of region, network, urbanization of society, regional urban planning and urban landscape. Regarding the collection of data about the object of this study, information from IBGE, Ipardes, municipal departments, commercial and industrial associations were used. Aside from that, the interviews consisted of a last, but not least, methodology, performed with some municipal departments linked to Planning, Trade and Industry, to the sector Public Works and Services, the coordinators of Municipal Master Plans, as well as representative of the regional political entity, the Association of Municipalities of West Paraná (Amop). In general, the cities make use of various funding sources of municipal, state and federal areas, but the lack of regional planning and urban infrastructure also appear as obstacles to further development / O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a urbanização dos municípios da região Lindeira ao Lago de Itaipu, localizada no Oeste do Estado do Paraná, por meio de suas dinâmicas socioespaciais, estabelecidas a partir da construção da Hidrelétrica da Itaipu. O levantamento e interpretação dos dados econômicos demonstrou que os municípios apresentam diferentes ritmos de desenvolvimento econômico e muitos deles carecem de infraestrutura urbana. Em outras palavras, ao passo que alguns municípios apresentam setores econômicos altamente diversificados e representativos, outros, em contraposição, carecem de maior dinamismo econômico. Para chegar a tais resultados, a metodologia empregada pautou-se no estudo bibliográfico/teórico sobre o conceito de região, de rede, urbanização da sociedade, planejamento urbano regional e paisagem urbana. A respeito do levantamento de dados sobre o objeto deste estudo, recorreu-se a informações do IBGE, Ipardes, secretarias municipais, associações comerciais e industriais. Afora isso, a aplicação de entrevistas consistiu em uma última, mas não menos importante, metodologia, realizada com algumas secretarias municipais ligadas ao Planejamento, Indústria e Comércio, ao setor de Obras e Serviços Públicos, aos coordenadores de Planos Diretores Municipais, bem como ao representante da entidade política regional, a Associação dos Municípios do Oeste do Paraná (AMOP). De modo geral, os municípios fazem uso de várias fontes de recurso das esferas municipais, estaduais e federais, mas a falta de planejamento regional e infraestrutura urbana, ainda, configuram-se como entrave para um maior desenvolvimento

<p> A petrological and geochemical study has been carried out on some Archean mafic and felsic volcans of Dome Township, Central Red Lake area, Ontario. Included are a discussion on petrographic descriptions along with chemical investigations of the rocks and a discussion concerning the general problem of petrogenesis. <p>The Artillery Lake area is diagonally bisected by the north-northeasterly trending Thelon Front. The best single surface feature to represent the Thelon Front is the "straight zone" which is a zone of porphyroclastic metasediments that also contains the study area. Kinematic indicators observed in the study area include extensional shear surfaces, C&S fabric, mica "fish", asymmetrical porphyroclast tails, asymmetrical folds, microfaulted porphyroclasts and secondary quartz subgrain foliations. Kinematic analysis of these features has shown that right lateral simple shear displacements and "east-side-up" vertical shear displacements have been accommodated within the rocks of the study area. The displacement senses determined by kinematic analysis are consistent with the regional data indicating progressively deeper exposures of structural levels to the east which suggests vertical motions localized at the domain boundaries. The stretching lineation present in the area is a combination of passive and direct extensions due to sub-vertical motions in the shear zone. A transition from early-ductile to late-brittle feldspar deformation textures indicates that metamorphic conditions during initial deformation were at epidoteamphibolite facies and relaxed during the later stages of deformation to greenschist facies. </p> / Thesis / Bachelor of Science (BSc)
