This thesis deals with Revolving Theatre in landscape of Český Krumlov and its influence on landscape character. First part of thesis deals with conservation of landscape character and castle parks in general. Then I describe history of Revolving Theatre placement issues in castle garden and I compare substitutive alternatives of its placement. I evaluate influence of Revolving Theatre on landscape character using ICOMOS methodology. In the end I evaluate short questionnaires which ask whether people agree with placement of Revolving Theatre in the castle garden of Český Krumlov.

This thesis deals with preventive form of landscape character assessment. Preventive assessment includes two cadastral differing nature and landscape protection. The first cadastral area is Stálkov, which is part of the natural park Czech Canada and is there a single small-scale specially protected territories. In the second cadastre Rančířov landscape is intensively farmed, and the bulk of the land is arable. On the territory is also one small area declared a specially protected area. Work includes a practical part, which were analyzed and identified the individual characters landscape. Those were then assigned their meaning, expression and valuables. Further rate was determined dochovalosti landscape. After evaluating each territory separately were compared and determination of differences between registers. The conclusion set out some suggestions for maintaining or increasing the value of the landscape.

Landscape is everything that surrounds us, the space in which we live and which we create. In recent years there have been increasingly frequent discussions about sustainable development that naturally concerns also landscape, aiming to ensure that it can withstand our management and last also for future generations. For this reason, land use planning and everything related to it is very important. This component of our activity is very comprehensive and complex and at the same time absolutely essential for our future. The aim of land use planning is to create prerequisites for construction and sustainable development whilst maintaining and developing natural, cultural and civilisation values. In pursuing this activity, land use planning is assisted by several instruments. Among other things, these instruments include zoning studies, which may serve as a basis for elaborating zoning documentation. Their purpose is to verify the possibility and conditions for changes in a territory and they strive to find its bottlenecks, examine and assess them and propose potential solutions. This shall also be the aim of this thesis dedicated to the Hoštice cadastral area in Šumava including its division into conservation areas and areas without special protection and a proposal of a potential solution.

Typology of Nature Parks in the Czech Republic Nature parks cover about one tenth of the Czech Republic. They are classified under general protection of nature and landscape in the nature and landscape system of our state and primarily serve to protect the landscape character with significant aesthetic, natural and cultural values. Nature parks are currently set up by a law regulation by regional authorities. This thesis provides comprehensive information about all nature parks in the Czech Republic, describes their history and their present form. The thesis deals with the research of landscape protection and landscape character. The main result of the thesis is the creation of a typology of natural parks of the Czech Republic, rated by their landscape coverage and selected natural conditions - altitude, typological division of the relief, climatic conditions and height vegetation levels. This diploma thesis attends to the landscape character, the methodics of the evaluation of landscape character and the influence of mining on the landscape character. Příbram, influenced by uranium mining during last century, was chosen as a model area. The aim of this thesis is a comparison of chosen methodics of the evaluation of landscape character in the term of mining district and a creation of new methodics specialized for model area. The thesis focus on the landscape character and restoration ecology in mining areas in theoretical part. There is a description of landscape character protection and preservation, also in terms of law, reclamations and uranium mining. Below, the four chosen methodics are mentioned. In practical part, the diploma thesis characterizes the model area, its history and also current situation including reclamation made. Then there are a comparison of chosen methodics of landscape character evaluation according to elected criteria and a project of methodics for to a evaluation of chosen area. The first part of this thesis is the definition of terms relating to construction at the interface of urban and rural areas. It defines the question notions of landscape, landscape, landscaping, urban planning, urban and rural areas. The practical part contains five case studies with objects of interest. For each of the objects of interest has resulted several color variations, which were subsequently placed into the landscape. Examined objects are located in the cadastral area of Šipoun and Blanice, on the border of Prachatice and Strakonice district. The result of this work is the evaluation influence of individual variations in the landscape and the best selection of co-option. Due to objective evaluation the survey was conducted among people of different ages.

The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of landscape at two locations. Each one has a different protection of nature and landscape. The first area is part of the natural park called Písecké hory. Second area consists of a cadastral area of Horní Ostrovec, in which part there is declared a natural monument called V Obouch. The practical part contains the characteristics of the landscape, determining of the indicators of natural values presence, cultural and historical characteristics and determination of expression, important and valuable landscape characteristics. Based on these characteristics the differences in monitored areas were evaluated and concrete proposals how to increase the value of the landscape were set out.

The thesis deals with the assessment of landscape character of the selected and mapped locations. It also covers the topic of establishing orchards and their integration into the local landscape. The theoretical part describes the history of orchards in the Czech Republic, defines the notion of landscape and landscape protection in the Czech legislation. Furthermore it explains general information of the drawing of European grants and mentions practical solution of orchards in land consolidations. The practical part consists of elaborated details of the project of planting and management technologies in a particular orchard. There is a description of the basic rules for getting a grant contribution in the field of landscaping. This part deals with landscape assessment including a proposal for a potential increase and protection of the landscape in the area.

Where I Come From - Velké Březno and the surrounding area The aim of this work is to create an educational project for pupils of the fourth and fifth grades to help them understand the connections between countryside, natural resources, population density, economic use of resources and development of transportation networks in the 19th and 20th centuries. The scope of this thesis is determined by the area encompassed by the school district of Velké Březno, that is, the right bank of the Elbe from Ústi nad Labem to Těchlovice. The theoretical part describes the area for which the project has been proposed from the socio- geographic point of view, and includes methods and lesson formats. The practical part contains work material meant as didactic inspiration for teaching local history.
