This diploma thesis is dedicated to the European Commission's project known under the name Single European Sky which pursues an objective to reorganize the current European airspace structure for the more efficient provision of air navigation services purposes. As an introduction, the author sets himself the goal to acquaint the reader with relevant international organizations in the field of civil aviation, introduce him in a general way into the provision of air navigation services' issues, including the situations when these services are being provided across the national boundaries. Following this general reading, the thesis fluently moves on to its main subject matter which is the Single European Sky initiative. An attention is focused on the state of European airspace before the initiative has been launched as well as the preparatory works which resulted in the adoption of the first SES legislative package. The following chapter presents the basic legal framework regulating the Single European Sky as amended by the adoption of the second legislative package. Principal part of the thesis is comprised in the next chapter dealing with the process of project's implementation. This diploma thesis focuses on Lycoming drive unit mounting used in two-seater plane of VLA category (the very light aircraft). In the beginning characteristics of currently produced Bristell aircrafts are described. Following chapters aim at research selection of new drive unit mounting based on multi-criteria decision analysis. For selected unit, the weight, center of mass and flight performance are calculated. Additionally, the construction of engine mount is proposed. According to CS-VLA and CS-23 stress level of mounting is defined followed by strength verification. Later in this thesis, a suitable engine cover for engine and cockpit cooling is proposed. A complete fuel system is described in following chapter. Last chapter deals with financial costs of re-engining as well as aircraft operational costs.

This thesis is analysing the historical evolution of flight instruments and aims at the design of a new, enhanced cockpit that includes basic flight instruments supplemented by data from selected aircraft subsystems. The design is based on currently available electronic instruments, known as EFIS, presently used onboard Boeing 737-800 cockpit. The proposed design aims at improvements to graphic style of EFIS, and accomodation of new data into newly designed displays. As a result of this effort, a set of design concepts is created. Those are then implemented as fully functional set of displays using custom made user interface system design tool.

The object of the diploma thesis is a preparation of fundamentals for realization for replica of the aircraft L-40 „Meta Sokol“ matching the requirements of Certification Specification for Very Light Aeroplanes (CS-VLA). The preamble of the work deals with the changes made on the original aircraft necessary to satisfy the criterias of the above-mentioned specification. One of the main contents of the first part of the thesis is the definition of replica’s basic dimensions and preparation of aerostatic fundamentals, including longitudinal stability control. As next a suitable engine is chosen and calculation of corresponding performances is made. A detailed weight analysis and a determination of centre of gravity position (c.g. position), important for solving the stability of an airplane, is also presented. Finally, a brief description of the manufacturing process of individual components and also factors influencing the technology are discussed.

The thesis contains of power plants installation consisting from the M 132 engine and the V 541.2 propeller, a towing gear and a landing gear, a load calculation of power plants and towing gear and basic flight performance calculation too. Last but not least valuation of operation ekonomy, operation characteristics assesment and a using of the airplane for specialized duty are included.

Odhad Letových Parametrů Malého Letounu / Light Airplane Flight Parameters EstimationDittrich, Petr Unknown Date (has links)
Tato práce je zaměřena na odhad letových parametrů malého letounu, konkrétně letounu Evektor SportStar RTC. Pro odhad letových parametrů jsou použity metody "Equation Error Method", "Output Error Method" a metody rekurzivních nejmenších čtverců. Práce je zaměřena na zkoumání charakteristik aerodynamických parametrů podélného pohybu a ověření, zda takto odhadnuté letové parametry odpovídají naměřeným datům a tudíž vytvářejí předpoklad pro realizaci dostatečně přesného modelu letadla. Odhadnuté letové parametry jsou dále porovnávány s a-priorními hodnotami získanými s využitím programů Tornado, AVL a softwarovéverze sbírky Datcom. Rozdíly mezi a-priorními hodnotami a odhadnutými letovými paramatery jsou porovnány s korekcemi publikovanými pro subsonické letové podmínky modelu letounu F-18 Hornet.

Tato práce je zaměřena na výzkum moderních metod automatického řízení letu a jejich ověření s ohledem na současný stav poznání a budoucí využití bezpilotních letadlových systémů. Práce představuje proces návrhu automatického systému řízení letu s důrazem na přístupy z oblasti návrhu založeného na modelování (Model-Based Design). Nedílnou součástí tohoto procesu je tvorba matematického modelu letounu, který byl využit k syntéze zákonů řízení a k vytvoření simulačního rámce pro evaluaci stability a kvality regulace automatického systému řízení letu. Jádro této práce se věnuje syntéze zákonů řízení založených na unikátní kombinaci teorie optimálního a adaptivního řízení. Zkoumané zákony řízení byly integrovány do digitálního systému řízení letu, jenž umožňuje vysoce přesné automatické létání. Závěrečná část práce se zabývá ověřením a analýzou navrženého systému řízení letu a je rozdělena do 3 fází. První fáze ověření obsahuje evaluaci robustnosti a analyzuje stabilitu a robustnost navrženého systému řízení letu ve frekvenční oblasti. Druhá fáze, evaluace kvality regulace, probíhala v rámci počítačových simulací s využitím vytvořených matematických modelů v časové oblasti. V poslední fázi ověření došlo k integraci navrženého systému řízení letu do experimentálního letounu, sloužícího jako testovací platforma pro budoucí bezpilotní letadlové systémy a jeho evaluaci v rámci série letových experimentů.

This master’s thesis deal with design of EV-55 Outback airplane with pressurized cabin. In this thesis are given common principles and requirements of regulations on construction pressurized cabin. A necessary fuselage modifications and fuselage construction are included. Also construction and build up of air-conditioning system and emergency oxygen system are included. Some parts of this thesis are about weight and balance, definition of pressurized cabin load, simple stability analysis and basic flight performance calculation. At the end of this master’s thesis a result of weight and flight performances are compared with analogous airplanes by other producers.

This work describes the visualization design of the flight related quantities in a cockpit of a modern light sport aircraft. It focuses on the utilization of the state of the art trends in flight data displays and introduces the innovative implementation of the aircraft's energy state smart clues that reduce pilots' workload. The initial part of the work presents a research into the flight, engine and navigation data presentation on analog instruments, followed by their illustrative depiction in glass cockpits. Within the framework of this thesis, Microsoft Flight Simulator has been used as a source of the flight related data. Final advances in the display design were introduced through the implementation of the synthetic vision system and a visualization of the virtual tunnel in the sky.
