Syntaktická analýza založená na modifikovaných zásobníkových automatech / Parsing Based on Modified Pushdown Automata

Pluháček, David January 2007 (has links)
The thesis introduces new models for formal languages, the m-limited state   grammar and the deep pushdown automaton. Their basic definitions are presented,   so is their mutual equivalence and the characteristics of the language family they describe.   Following, a parsing method based on these models is presented. The method is an extension   of a similar method used for context-free languages, the table driven parsing.   The final part of the thesis describes the implementation of a parser based on the method.

The effect of semantic features on gist and verbatim memory in young adults with language-learning disabilities

Blau, Megan Johanna 22 November 2013 (has links)
This thesis is an expansion of an ongoing examination of gist and verbatim memory in young adults with language-learning disabilities (LLD) using the DRM paradigm (Deese, 1959; Roediger & McDermott, 1995). This study uses lists based on situation semantic features in addition to DRM lists based on backwards associative strength (BAS), which were categorized as strong-, mid-, and low-BAS (Stadler, Roediger, & McDermott, 1999). Items in each list (e.g., bacon, toast, cereal, muffin) related to a non-presented word (e.g., breakfast): the critical lure (CL). BAS is a measure of the likelihood that a list item will elicit the CL. Thirty young adults participated in this study and were divided into three groups: true LLD, compensated LLD, and typically developing (TD). Participants listened to word lists and verbally recalled the words they remembered hearing. Accurate recall was an indicator of verbatim memory; CL recall was an indicator of gist memory. The true LLD group recalled CL at a significantly higher rate than the other groups in the case of the situation lists; additionally, the compensated LLD group recalled CL for the low-BAS lists at a significantly higher rate than the other groups. These findings suggest that the LLD participants may process semantic information differently or may rely on gist memory to a greater extent than the TD controls. Results also indicated list type differences for both verbatim and gist recalls, supporting the effects of both semantic features and BAS together with other factors. / text

Algoritmo de conversÃo de Redes de Petri coloridas para Ladder Logic Diagram (LLD) / Algorithm Converting Colored Petri Nets for Ladder Logic Diagram (LLD)

Jonatha Rodrigues da Costa 28 January 2014 (has links)
In this dissertation, is presented a proposal of conversion of models of manufacturing cell (FMS) from Colored Petri Nets (CPN) to Ladder Logic Diagram (LLD). It explores the controlled CPN models - constructed using the methodology of supervisory Control Restrictions on Decomposed Colors (CRDC) - and not controlled models. It emphasizes the transformation of CPN not controlled for the LLD and ease for inclusion of control. The results described herein demonstrate that the methodology facilitates the work of a PLC programmer in LLD minimizing possible errors during the programming phase. To illustrate the methodology we developed a converter from CPN to LLD, produced in JAVA, in order to clarify the dynamic conversion environment. To validate the results of the converter, is controlled by PLC, a vertical articulated robot which works compared with and without supervision which had been firstly modeled in CPN without supervision, then applied to CRDC, the supervision and the conversion technique for LLD.

Involving the student in a language class. Why and how to introduce such a project in the current Polish context ?

Szczepanik, Magdalena 02 February 2012 (has links)
On the one hand, democracy and market economy have changed the concept of powerin Poland and they thereby ask for a new positioning of the teacher-researcher. On the otherhand, neurobiology sheds new light on the way an individual functions in a group, and oninformation processing during learning. The study of the Polish educational context authorizes a wider implementation oflearner-centered rather than teacher-centered classroom practices, while paying attention tothe learner's social and emotional needs. The project, realized in the action-research framework, aims at involving the studentthrough an environment called : Limited Liability Discussion (LLD). Thanks to thisenvironment, the learner has a chance to choose (reference documents, discussion group, speaking out and its duration); he also has an opportunity to be in a situation with a certainlevel of responsibility (choice of a topic and management of the discussion). The analysis of speaking out in a group has established a connection betweenempowerment and the increase in oral production in the majority of the described cases. Theresults of the analysis have also emphasized specific behaviour of self-limitation in speakingin the case of "responsible" learners who, as participants, were usually very active. Apart fromlanguage acquisition gains, this research highlights learner attitudes to work and authority. The thesis opens on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) which solvesome of the problems connected with the proposed environment, but at the same time raisenew questions, related to interaction in a group as well as assessment.

Optimizing the LLVM ELF linker for a distributed compilation environment : Concurrent Linking with LLVM LLD / Optimering av LLVMs ELF-länkare vid användning av distribuerad kompilering

Wilkens, Alexander January 2020 (has links)
Modern build systems that build large software projects often utilize a distributed compiler, allowing the compilation of object files to be parallelized over multiple machines. These build systems are often not able to fully utilize all the resources available on all machines. As linking is not part of this distributed process, the unused resources could be used to perform linking instead, reducing the total build time. However, linking is often performed at the end of the build process, thus not being able to access the previously unused resources. In this thesis project, a linker that runs concurrently with the compilation process of the build system is designed, implemented, and evaluated . As the compilation process produces an object file, the linker performs a partial link using this file. The link is finalized at the end of the build, not unlike a traditional linker. The results show that the total build time is reduced when using the new linker in a build system utilizing a distributed compiler. In some cases, the time spent linking at the end of the build system is reduced over 50 percent when compared to the reference linker.
