Optimalizace systému řízení reverzní logistiky odpadů / Optimization of waste reverse logistics management system

VALTA, Tomáš January 2018 (has links)
The target and aim of this diploma thesis was the optimization of the waste management reverse logistics system in the framework of FAST Kovošrot, Ltd. as a provider of waste management services. It is a company engaged in the purchase, processing and subsequent sale of metal waste mainly on the territory of the South Bohemian Region and Vysočina. It is therefore obvious that reverse logistics is the mainstay of almost all the company's activities. As part of the study of the backlog logistics flows of the selected company, the necessary amount of information and data was obtained for the subsequent optimization of the system. All data was obtained through managed interviews, direct attendance observation, and the study of available in-house statements. On the basis of such documents, the area of data exchange was designated as an area with potential for streamlining the overall process and introducing an electronic communication system. A thorough study of the current communication system between the business and its business partners was followed by which the individual data and values were sorted out. It has been found that the company uses classical data exchange, type of invoices and orders, that is, their receipt and distribution in paper form, which results in individual costs of postage, printing and others, as explained in the practical part of the thesis. At present, it is a rather outdated and ineffective system that can be innovated in spending. As another area with potential for improvement in terms of logistics technology operation, RFID tagging has been selected. The implementation of this method would require an initial investment, but would mean a significant increase in the efficiency of the registration and order picking for the company. The third proposed option for improving the functioning of the company's reverse logistics is to modify existing containers that would be equipped with ultrasonic sensors to capture their capacity.

Modelo de governança aplicado a cadeias logístico-portuárias

Vieira, Guilherme Bergmann Borges January 2013 (has links)
Ports are key to the competitiveness of exporting and importing sectors that make use of them and for the development of the regions in which they are inserted. And, for the proper port management, is necessary to understand the port in a broader sense, considering the set of actors included in the port logistics chain and the activities developed by these actors. In recent years, studies have been developed focusing ports as business clusters and addressing the coordination mechanisms or governance of the different actors in the port logistics chain. In this context, an emerging issue concerns the analysis port governance models and its relation to port performance. Governance in port logistics chains is a key factor for the competitiveness of ports and represents the mechanisms used to coordinate relations between the actors of the port community and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics flows related, thus improving the port competitive insertion. Given this context, this thesis aims to propose a governance model applied to port logistics chain. For this, initially are studied the different classifications of seaports, being considered the elements that compose them and their relation to governance; port logistics processes are analyzed, identifying possible opportunities for improvement and its relationship to port governance; and is analyzed the evolution of port governance studies in recent years, identifying the existing governance models and their relation to port performance. From these elements, a conceptual model is developed to support the analysis of governance in port logistics chains and based on the proposed model, is made a comparative analysis of governance in the ports of Santos and Valencia. The results show the existence of a more efficient and mature governance model in the port of Valencia and reveal opportunities for improvement in the governance of the two ports.
