Assignment of this diploma thesis is to characterize, describe problems and different aspects of contemporary city park. Thesis is devided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical one is subdivided into individual chapters. First chapter is focused on design of contemporary park, present demands,functions, visual aspects and uses. Development of historical parks briefly describe ancient gardens and then continue with design of public city parks, aforesaid are connected with current design, which is the most significant for this work. Modern fine public parks are carefully examined and described, because it can lead us to right approaches in our own designing. Second, practical part, is convenient aplication of all assembled informations and conclusions into final design of Brno's public park in Žabovřeské a Komínské meadows. The selection of this locality refers on up to date world tendencies of integrating river landscapes into city structures.

A new way of creating the imaginary boundary dividing the site into two parts, the part of the landscape and urban. In the municipal sports facilities will be located, designed for active sports like football, volleyball, basketball and existing venues, such as the Sokol in the northern part of the territory, which has the potential for further development. The publicly accessible sportovištím arises changing facilities and operations. In the scenic zone covers designed for relaxation and recreation. The atmosphere it provides the distance from the busy communication and other noise sources. The zone has a large lawn area for picnics and urged the rest by sporting venues for performances made ??active urban areas.

In a small-plot field experiment carried out in the years 2009 to 2012 in conditions of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands (Fodder Research Station of Vatín, a potato-growing region), effect of drought and influence of multiple mowing on dry fodder production and further on the number of offsets and the plant height was evaluated in six grass species grown in individual planting (spacing of 250 x 250 mm of 20 pieces per 1 m2, three repetitions). In the species of Lolium perenne L, Dactylis glomerata,L., Festuca pratensis L., Festuca arundinacea, Schreb., MRH Festulolium, cv. Felina, or MRH Festuloium, cv. Fojtan and Arrhenatherum elatius L. or Trisetum flavenscens l., the effect of reduced precipitation (reduced to 50% of the normal amount for a vegetation period in the year 2011 and 2012) and the influence of three-moving meadow and five-mowing grazing utilization on the above-stated production and yield-forming elements was evaluated. Selection of suitable varieties was made in relation to their suitability in terms of intensity (method) of the cover utilization. An exception is inclusion of Trisetum flavescens for five-mowing grazing utilization in comparison with the typical meadow species of Arrhenatherum elatius.

During a cooperation on a project of the orchid protection in the Říčany Ecocenter number of questions arose. Firstly it is a question of an identification of orchid meadows. Then finding main parameters of an environment, which influence the occurence of Dactylorhiza majalis. Consequently finding factors that influence the size of population of Dactylorhiza majalis. And eventually finding a suitable management for the orchid meadows. I was trying to find the answers mainly via a comparison of orchid and similar non orchid meadows. I was comparing species composition, local conditions and historical use of the site. I decided for the method of phytocenologic snaps and Ellenberg numbers for detection of the local conditions. Historical maps were used for finding the historical use. Data were processed by statistic analytical methods (PCA,RDA) When comparing orchid and non orchid meadows I found out that they differ conclusively in species composition and in number of species. I found plant species according to which it is possible to determine a potentional orchid location. Furthermore I found out that orchid and non orchid meadows differ in values of parameters of an environment. The main objective of this work was to evaluate the dynamics of CO2 and CH4 emissions from wetland soil of the sedge-grass marsh, which belongs to large complex of wet meadows near Třeboň town. CO2 and CH4 emission measurements realized on six places, where gas emission collars permanently inserted. Finally, samples of air were taking with using manual emission gas chambers within period from April 25th to November 24th 2014. The highest fluxes of CO2 were recorded in June and July. The lowest water level was recorded in this period together with low fluxes of CH4. Methane emissions were higher in September and October at the time where water level was above soil surface. Range of CO2-C fluxes was -9.38 mg m-2 h-1 (consumption) to 147.84 mg m-2 h-1 (emission). Range of CH4-C fluxes was -14.94 ?g m-2 h-1 (consumption) to 5561.67 ?g m-2 h-1(emission).

The concept became a logical solution to the division of area into one located in safer areas before the floodwaters in the northern part and leave the lower parts of river. Boundaries of the division is backed flood protection embankment height of 1.2 meters. Existing sports facilities are left in place. North Sokol is included in the planned development area in the coming years. This development is indicated by placing more focus to the development of situational plot. As another layer to enter the Wilsons forest that surrounds the R42 highway, thus eliminating the noise in the nature of the area in question. Communication in the area is solved by the level of the main pedestrian routes, which are designed as 4 meters wide. The area is also dealt with a different approach to the river and road on the other hand, depending on location. The nature of the river becomes a silent partner in contemplation, in contrast to the early-evening sports wandering in the excitement.
