Zhodnocení vývoje vybraných makroekonomických charakteristik lesního hospodářství v národním hospodářství České republiky v období let 2003 až 2013

Kadlec, Jan January 2017 (has links)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to put the field of forestry into the context of economy of the Czech Republic. It does so by comparing the following macroeconomics characteristics: General Unemployment Rate, Inflation, Average Gross Monthly Wage (Czech average, forestry), Rate of Employment (Czech average, forestry, agriculture, wood processing), Gross Domestic Product, Gross Value Added (Czech average, forestry, agriculture, wood processing), Prices of Selected Assortments, and Logging between years 2003 and 2014. An analysis of these records reveals the current trends in the field of forestry, like decreasing number of employees,  increasing productivity, or increasing wage, which is still below the country average.

Dobývání znalostí z makroekonomických dat / Data Mining of Macroeconomic Data

Lang, Lukáš January 2007 (has links)
The theme of my work is the Data Mining (DM) of Macroeconomic Data. The purpose of this work is to use DM methods for analysis of macroeconomic fundamentals of selected countries of the Western Europe and the U.S.A. between years 1961-1989 and to compare the DM methods with statistical methods. For the statistical analysis, I used EViews and MS-Office Excel, for the DM I used LISp-Miner. The structure of the work is as follows: in the theoretical part I define the analysed indicators and their relations with respect to the history of analysed period. Then are specified chosen statistical methods also with the reason for choice. The last chapter of the theoretical part describes the data mining. In the practical part I describe the problems which I solved, data collecting and preparation, use of the statisitical methods and DM methods and results obtained. The enlightenment lies in conclusion. I thank my supervisor, Prof. Ing. Petr Berka, CSc. for DM meditations and important suggestions. I thank my colleagues, Ing. Vojtech Menzl, MSc and Mgr. Jana Závacká for critique of the statistical methods. I thank the living members of my family for patience.

Ekonomické dopady strukturální politiky / The economic impact of structural policies

Jandová, Andrea January 2016 (has links)
The theme of this thesis are the economic impacts of structural policies. The first part focus on policy economic and social cohesion, an analysis of the programming period from 2004 to 2006, from 2007 to 2013 and an analysis of the current situation and the objectives set up for the programming period from 2014 to 2020. The second part is using a linear regression model to making a proposal for an improvement of drawing grants from structural funds in the new budget period from 2014 to 2020. It also determine an economic determinants which are analyse and evaluated in terms of their development since the Czech republic joined the European Union. Finally the work identified and evalueted the benefits of structural policies in various areas.

Racionální nepozornost v DSGE modelu / Rational Inattention in DSGE Model

Vostřák, David January 2018 (has links)
A great amount of available information over the internet makes it impossible for anyone to process it all. In this thesis, we use the rational inattention theory to see how the perceived signals about the exogenous variables would change under different levels of information capacity. Those signals are then applied in the New Keynesian model and corresponding impulse responses are compared with the case of unlimited attention. We found that for some autoregressive processes the differences from the perfect attention case are not very profound while for others the results vary considerably.

Analýza dopadů regulací pomocí dynamického input-output modelu / The Analysis of Impact of Regulations: A Dynamic Input-Output Model Approach

Šafr, Karel January 2013 (has links)
This diploma thesis discusses utilization of dynamic Input-Output models as a basis for decision-making for policy makers. The first part is focused on theoretical derivation of the basic dynamic models. This part is followed by a practical application of the presented models, which proposes a method of deriving the matrix of capital and it facilitates the construction of data sources. The results show that the dynamic models are usable, but it is necessary to take into consideration their structural constraints and data limits. Data applied for 2009 show that the economic crisis has led to a 6% decline in GVA growth rates.

Analýza behaviorálního nového keynesiánského modelu / Analysis of a Behavioral New Keynesian Model

Křížková, Šárka January 2018 (has links)
The thesis focuses on the analysis of a Behavioral New Keynesian DSGE model. In particular, various specifications of the model are collected from the existing literature and their combinations are simulated. The specifications include heuristics for forecasting output gap, sets of estimated or calibrated parameters and model structures. The resulting simulated output and inflation gap series are compared with the macroeconomic stylized facts and real world data from the US and Euro area based on their distributional characteristics and autocorrelation structures. In addition, a comparison of various simulated model specifications is performed based on the level of correlation between fractions of agents following a specific heuristic and the resulting output and inflation gap values. The distributional characteristics of the US output gap seem to be matched the best by the specifications with unbiased and extrapolative output gap heuristics generating series with higher levels of variance and kurtosis. Contrarily, the Euro output gap is best matched by specifications with optimistic, pessimistic and unbi- ased heuristics producing series with lower levels of variance and kurtosis. Second, the autocorrelation structure of the simulated series tends to mirror the stylized facts as opposed to the...

Budoucnost cílování inflace v Ruské federaci / Future of Inflation Targeting in the Russian Federation

Navrátilová, Alice January 2013 (has links)
Hereby presented Master Thesis deals with an analysis of preparedness of the Russian monetary policy for adoption of inflation-targeting regime. We define the impact of different factors on the level of inflation and consequently their importance in the process of predicting inflation in the period from January 2006 to September 2012 in the Russian Federation. The selection of the factors is based on theory and on the examination of the Russian monetary policy environment, taking into account the credibility, transparency and accountability of the monetary institutions and the financial sector and real economy specifications. The analysis of interconnections among the factors is based on a vector autoregressive regression model VAR(4) as well as on Granger causality test and impulse-response analysis. Our results indicate that the major role in inflation formation among the chosen variables, the exchange rate prevailed in the observed period and the interest rate gained in importance to certain extent. Thus the Russian Central Bank has proceeded to prepare the monetary policy rule for the adoption of inflation-targeting regime. Nevertheless, building more sound monetary and financial institutions, successful implementation of flexible exchange rate and abandoning exchange rate targeting, as...

Pojetí výuky makroekonomie na vysokých školách s ekonomicky zaměřenými studijními programy / The concept of teaching macroeconomics at higher education institutions with economics-based curricula

Marková, Lucie January 2011 (has links)
The ultimate objective of the present PhD thesis is to propose effective instructional methods to be employed in teaching macroeconomics as an academic subject, their selection being determined by the personality type recognition of the students of economics-based academic programmes. First, a current state of academic education and an increase in the number of university/college students, schools and faculties are analysed. Within the sector of higher education institutions (HEI) providing academic training in economic sciences, the focus is on the rationale of the inclusion of macroeconomics in their syllabi. Having conducted the quantitative research, the MBTI questionnaire being employed to measure personality types, the composition of academic study groups in the chosen economics-based schools was examined from the viewpoint of the given typology. An analysis of currently applied forms and methods of instruction in macroeconomics at the Private University College of Economic Studies (PUCES) is accompanied by the interpretation of their impact on the academic achievements of particular personality types. Based on the research findings, appropriate teaching methods are matched with respective personality types and subsequently with the entire study group comprising different types of personalities. The present dissertation thesis consists of an introduction, seven chapters and a conclusion. The introduction presents the aim of the thesis, an overview of the current state of relevant research on the topic as well as research hypotheses and methodology. Chapter 1 explores the current state of HEI programmes affected by soaring numbers of students, HEIs and their faculties. Chapter 2 focuses on macroeconomics as a scientific discipline and an academic subject incorporated in the syllabuses of the selected HEIs. Chapter 3 concentrates on academic teaching, outlining the philosophies, modes and methods of academic instruction. In chapter 4, personality typologies are exposed, focusing selectively on their development, emphasising those with significant social influence. The MBTI personality typology is given special attention, corresponding basic personality dimensions, dispositions and study successfulness being considered. Chapter 5 describes the results of the research of the student groups' structure according to MBTI typology in five chosen HEIs, summarizing the outcomes from the schools being tested. In chapter 6, macroeconomics examination results achieved by PUCES students are displayed, being related to respective personality categories in compliance with the above typology. In the last chapter, optimal methods and instructional approaches are suggested for teaching particular personality types of students, the heterogeneous composition of the study groups being taken into consideration.
