L’objecte de la tesis és analitzar, des d’una perspectiva interdisciplinar i transversal, els instruments de compensació del dany derivat d’accident de treball o malaltia professional: prestacions de la Seguretat Social, millores voluntàries, recàrrec de prestacions i indemnització per danys i perjudicis. Combinant l’anàlisi jurídic i dogmàtic amb les tècniques i metodologies pròpies de la Teoria Econòmica, la finalitat de l’estudi és determinar la seva adequació per garantir la prevenció de riscs laborals. / The purpose of the thesis is to analyze, from an interdisciplinary perspective, the compensation instruments of damages derived from a labor accidents or occupational diseases: Social Security benefits, fringe benefits, surcharge on Social Security benefits and pain and suffering awards. From a Law and Economics perspective, the aim of the study is to determine if they are adequate to ensure prevention of occupational hazards.
