La qualification de l'environnement professionnel dans l'activité des dirigeants : le cas de l'hôpital de Curicó au Chili / The qualification of the professional environment in the activities of the leaders : the case of Curicó city hospital, Chile

Alvear-Vega, Sandra 05 January 2011 (has links)
The main contribution of this thesis is to enrich the understanding of an aspect in the professionalization of health managers, the activity. Much of the leadership training can be based on an analysis, made by themselves, about their own working situations. This research is a contribution from Adult Education to Management Science: understanding the qualifying activities undertaken by leaders in their daily work. Qualification activities undertaken by leaders are social and discursive activities. Through the qualifying activity, the working context is modified or reconstructed. To achieve the objectives of the organization, the leader seeks to influence others, the employees, through the "value judgments" that he expresses. The qualifying activity of health managers is understood from an additional matter from that of managerial theories. It ranges from the micro perspective, specifically according to the Activity Theory and Cognitive Learning Theory of Learning. It draws methodologically on the discursive pragmatic theory trend in an ethnomethodological approach. That is to say, on detailed observations of the context including what the leaders say in interaction with their colleagues in a specific context, as well as the size and the type of organizations identified: the hospital in the city of Curicó or Chile. We concluded that the qualifying activities are re-qualifications for others. It is a way to take power on the working environment and the ownership of that environment to propose it to others, allowing the manager to build an "interpretive learning."Qualifying activities are understood as "explicit proposals" made by the manager, who intends to influence and to act on the construction of meaning of others, with three dominant functions in relation to: the reduction of uncertainty, the preservation of the image of the organization and of the actors and the issue of power.

REMUNERAÇÃO Executiva e Desempenho. Evidências Empíricas no Brasil.

OLIVEIRA, I. G. S. 24 October 2014 (has links)

Project Management Skills of the Future

January 2012 (has links)
abstract: The goal of this research study was to identify the competencies the Project Manager (PM) will need to respond to the challenges the construction industry faces in 2022 and beyond. The study revealed twenty-one emerging challenges for construction PMs grouped into four primary disruptive forces: workforce demographics, globalization, rapidly evolving technology, and changing organizational structures. The future PM will respond to these emerging challenges using a combination of fourteen competencies. The competencies are grouped into four categories: technical (multi-disciplined, practical understanding of technology), management (keen business insight, understanding of project management, knowledge network building, continuous risk monitoring), cognitive (complex decisions making, emotional maturity, effective communication), and leadership (leveraging diverse thinking, building relationships, engaging others, mentoring, building trust). Popular data collection methods used in project management research, such as surveys and interviews, have received criticism about the differences between stated responses to questions, what respondents say they will do, and revealed preferences, what they actually practice in the workplace. Rather than relying on surveys, this research study utilized information generated from games and exercises bundled into one-day training seminars conducted by Construction Industry Institute (CII) companies for current and upcoming generations of PMs. Educational games and exercises provide participants with the opportunity to apply classroom learning and workplace experience to resolve issues presented in real-world scenarios, providing responses that are more closely aligned with the actual decisions and activities occurring on projects. The future competencies were identified by combining results of the literature review with information from the games and exercises through an iterative cycle of data mining, analysis, and consolidation review sessions with CII members. This competency forecast will be used as a basis for company recruiting and to create tools for professional development programs and project management education at the university level. In addition to the competency forecast, the research identified simulation games and exercises as components of a project management development program in a classroom setting. An instrument that links the emerging challenges with the fourteen competencies and learning tools that facilitate the mastering of these competencies has also been developed. / Dissertation/Thesis / Ph.D. Civil and Environmental Engineering 2012

An enhanced user interface management system

Huang, Hai-Shan January 1997 (has links)
A User Interface Management System (UIMS) called the Harness has been developed to support the front-ending of existing software systems. In the Harness, a set of core Abstract Interaction Objects (AIOs) was provided for knowledge-based modules to interact with the user. It is not realistic to expect the Harness to be a closed and fixed system. On the other hand, help capabilities are today considered essential components of well designed software and on-line help systems have come to be a standard feature of most new software systems.

Řízení projektu mezinárodní lékařské konference / Řízení projektu mezinárodní lékařské konference

Taftová, Barbora January 2008 (has links)
Bez znalostí teorie by ani nešlo takový velký projekt řídit a dovést do úspěšného konce. Nejvíce se opírám o splnění podmínky trojimperativu, procesu řízení projektů, a především organizování projektového týmu.

The role of circuit managers in the professional development of school principals

Ndlovu, Sophia Madiekolo January 2017 (has links)
The research examined the professional development of principals in their Highveld Ridge East, H/Ridge West, Bethal, Lekwa West circuits. The purpose was to investigate the role of the circuit managers in the professional development of their principals. The main driver of the study was that in the current climate the emphasis is on student performance, and school leaders are held accountable for the quality of teaching and for how much learners learn. Society expects the principals to be accountable for learner performance and the quality of teaching. In the current national and state policy the assumption is that effective principal leadership is central to student achievement and is in fact the most powerful force for improving school effectiveness and for achieving excellence in education. The argument is made that according to the National Education Policy Act of 1996 and the National Policy Framework for Teacher Education, the Department of Education gives guidelines and points out the importance of teacher development. The study then investigates the role of circuit managers in the professional development of principals. The main research question and sub-questions were used to understand the participants’ perceptions and experiences of the phenomenon that is professional development. The methodology adopted in this study is qualitative which seeks to understand how circuit managers execute their responsibilities with regard to the professional development of principals. Data was collected by means of semi-structured interviews which involved three principals and four circuit managers. Literature revealed the need for circuit managers to be more empowered with skills to develop and support their principals. The misunderstanding about professional development leads principals to be unclear of the boundaries between their daily management tasks and professional development. Curriculum assistance and guidance were regarded as professional development. / Dissertation (MEd)--University of Pretoria, 2017. / Education Management and Policy Studies / MEd / Unrestricted
