Trust is a concept used throughout our daily lives. We give trust to friends, colleagues and strangers. We also give trust to the technical artifacts we use in our everyday lives. We must also rely on the services we use to work the way we expect them to. There is plenty of research on trust in e-commerce and online banking on website based platforms. What is missing is research on how we give trust to mobile map applications (and mobile applications in general), and how this trust, or lack of trust, affect our use of map applications in everyday life. We will also use a model of trust to see if we can get a deeper understanding of this trust.

This thesis focuses on development of web-based GPS data management system in a cloud environment. The thesis introduces the most used application interfaces for building custom mapping applications. It offers a comparison of cloud platforms such as Google App Engine and OpenShift Online. It also deals with the design and the implementation of system for OpenShift Online platform. The system focuses on importing tracks from GPX format, managing tracks, viewing tracks on map tiles from Mapy.cz, searching for tracks, creating an elevation profile and various statistics.

Denna rapport handlar om sju studenters kandidatarbete som utfördes i kursen TDDD96 - Kandidatprojekt i programvaruutveckling vid Linköpings universitet under våren 2020. Målet med projektet var att utveckla en webbapplikation som visar en karta, där användaren kan styra drönare genom att specificera ett område på denna karta. Drönarna tar flygfoton över området som sedan visas på kartan. Resultatet blev en fungerande produkt för demonstrationssyften, en teknisk beskrivning av produkten och en användarmanual. Rapporten innehåller även sju individuella delar som ger en fördjupning inom olika delområden av projektet.
